I had estimates from 4 contractors, and all of them recommended reusing my exisrting tile. Unfortunately, the Glendale inspector insisted on changing to a lightweight concrete tile. This added a lot to the cost, but it was hardly the fault of this contractor... Naturally, the inspector interrupted work with this just as some late-season chance of showers showed up on the horizon. Chris Parks arranged to have my roof tarped, charging me only for the, cost of the tarps. Throughout the whole process, Chris was responsive and accommodating to my questions and requests, including making a special trip to let my wife and I look at samples of tiles we were considering. . He also did all of the interaction with the permitting office, which the fine print of some of the other bids I got would have put on my shoulders. His crew did a god clean-up at the end of each day. In the end, the cost was on a par with some of the other bids - which had assumed re-use of my exisitng tile. The roof looks great,and I am pleased with the results. The one thing I have not rated is quality. I am not really qualified to judge the quality of the work, although everything Chris and his guys said passed the usual Google-driven interrogation. From the attention to detail exhibited by Chris and his crew I expect that the quality is excellent. I hope to confirm that after our next major storm, whenever that may be.

Everything went well. Some additional repairs were discovered and taken care of without additional cost. Most of repairs were caused by termite damage. This was the second time I used George Parks Roofing & Painting. My first experience was June, 2017, and the work included wood replacement, painting of wood and stucco, and a coating added to flat roof. All work was handled in a professional manner and to my satisfaction.

After receiving bids from two other companies, I received a bid from Chris. He was prompt in answering my call to the George Parks number, the first contractor to answer to do so. He listened to my questions, was informative in his answers, and he scheduled an appointment for the same day. When he arrived at my home, he was extremely professional, handed me his business identification, and then climbed on the roof. With photos, he explained what the damage was, and made his suggestions for the repair and gave me the price for their services. Once I agreed, he called his scheduling supervisor and was able to schedule my job for the next day. I was delighted. The crew arrived on time, and they finished the job within the time Chris had mentioned. They were as quiet as roofers can be, and they cleaned up every bit of material. I was so impressed by the entire process! I understand that roofing and painting contractors are specifically licensed and insured, a fact I didn't know before. I highly recommend George Parks Roofing & Painting and would definitely use them again! They got the job done and put my mind at ease.

George Parks Roofing fit me in their schedule very quickly, and was able to finish the job in a timely manner. I especially appreciated Chris in the office, who was very good at keeping me apprised of what was going on. After they finished, they hauled all the debris away, cleaned up the area around my house. I was especially impressed that they went around the house with a magnet so that they could pick up any tacks or nails that had dropped off the roof during the job. I have a dog, so that meant a lot to me.

Time sensitive and responsive and went pretty much without a hitch I was very ambivalent because I just replaced the roof less than 2 years ago with another roofer but he was not helpful in finding the leaks which resulted in continuing water damage from on going rains. Turns out the previous roofer dos not use to code materials and had just added another layer of roof onto one or in some cases 3 layers already there. George removed the previous layers and inspected the plywood and refunded me most of the money he expected he would need in plywood when most of the wood turned out to be okay Georges crew worked in a timely manner to get the job done alongside my AC person to move my platform and roof around the area. He added flashings around it and the fireplace which hadn't been done before. Waiting for next rain w less dread and more hope and don't anticipate a problem.

"Below is a actually email response from another customer in regards to a roofing Inquiry. Southern California has not received this much rain in many years and the result is a shortage of reputable roofers. I don't feel posting a negative review for a reputable company is fair under the recent circumstances in weather. I would like to share this email response below (Real Customer) everyone we called to get an estimate said the same thing...and some don't even call us back. We have put some tarps on the roof as well as in the attic to prevent further damage. It is hard to find a good roofer as I have never experienced this kind of issue before, this is our first house! Well, if we haven't fixed it for another 3-4 weeks, I might contact you again and see if you have any openings. Thank you for responding me so quickly, I really appreciate that."

I called George Parks Roofing and Painting in the early morning, after I noticed a water spot on the ceiling in our home. There was so much rain the night before and another storm on the way. Chris had his roofing staff come by after they finished a job close to my home. They checked the roof, noticed where the leak was coming from and asked if I would like them to fix it now before the next rain arrives. They fixed the leak right away. They were very professional and did a great job.

George kept in close contact with me mostly by phone and text to keep me up to date with progress. He was here while the work was going on. His crew was professional and efficient. We had one incident where the big truck slightly damaged my carport door. George took immediate responsibility and paid to have the damage corrected. This was not a problem at all. They did roofing around two skylights and carefully sealed everything. Because we had major rains between work days I was able to see immediately that I had no leaks. I'm pleased. I found them through Angie's list and am happy to add my name to their list of satisfied customers.

George came to our house on a Saturday, an hour or two after having serious dental work (including a wisdom tooth extraction). Despite being in obvious pain, he was thorough and professional. He explained our options and answered all of our questions. Rain was in the forecast, so we needed the work done quickly. George and two members of his team came two days later and fixed everything in several hours. The rain arrived three days after that and nothing leaked.

Our last exterior house painting job lasted nearly 20 years because the man who did the project was meticulous with the preparation steps, primed everything and used high quality paint. We lost track of him so were concerned if we could find another source of quality in this day and age. We resorted to contacting Angie's List to submit our project request. We were very fortunate to be referred to George Parks Roofing and Painting, that coincidentally was founded the same year our house was built, 1976! I was very pleased to accept an all-inclusive contract that stipulated extensive preparation work, wood replacement wherever necessary, prime coating all before applying two coats of Sherwin-Williams paint that claimed a lifetime warranty. The work began just 2 days after signing the agreement and was completed in the span of just 3 days. Our prior paint job took a single painter 3 weeks to finish, but the George Parks crew consisted of 8 men which included painters and carpenters. The entire neighborhood is in awe of the end result, as is my entire family. This work is truly as good as it gets!

It was a large job with steep inclines. Very professional crew. Family-run business and the owners came to check on the job every day. Great communication. They also did a lot of extra repairs and did not charge me for them. No "nickel & diming" which I really appreciate in a service provider. I received several bids and their price was very fair (in the middle). My only issue was I wish they were more thorough with the final clean-up. not horrible but could have been better. Having said that, I am very happy with job they did and I absolutely recommend them.

"That's simply not true. The customer requested they wanted to use a credit card for payment so we obliged after we proceeded to process the credit card she then changed her mind and decided she wanted to use a check. We imeaditly had to contact the credit card company and submit a refund request which was then procesed by the credit company. This customer is leading other Angie's List members to believe that she paid 2x or that some sort of fraud had taken place and that's the furthest thing from the truth. We have been in business for over 40 years and our reputation is reflected in our A rating with Angie's List and numerous positive reviews As for the painters they protected the entire area as they painted and it's a 20 min drive to the nearest Sherwin Williams paint store in Torrence each [Member Information Removed]. They had to get the paint color matched for the interior touch up. So that proves that they left and returned with the paint very quickly I am very sorry if there's something that the customer was not happy with I sincerely try my best to make every customer 100% happy Best Regards George Parks"

Chris is smart, a gentleman and he worked with me - He was flexible with schedule and helpful in some of the decisions I had to make regarding roofing.
The crew was always prompt, polite and clean - Replacing a roof is a very messy job - these guys left the job site spic and span every day.
I grew up in the construction trade and I haven't seen an out this professional since my dad's construction business many years ago.
Chris is smart, a gentleman and he worked with me - He was flexible with schedule and helpful in some of the decisions I had to make regarding roofing.
