Totally unsatisfactory.
Description of Work: I called twice (once on 2/3/17 and again on 2/7/27) for roof repairs and left voicemail messages both times so that I could speak with George about performing roof repairs. I never even received the courtesy of a return phone call.

Below is a actually email response from another customer in regards to a roofing Inquiry. Southern California has not received this much rain in many years and the result is a shortage of reputable roofers. I don't feel posting a negative review for a reputable company is fair under the recent circumstances in weather. I would like to share this email response below (Real Customer) everyone we called to get an estimate said the same thing...and some don't even call us back. We have put some tarps on the roof as well as in the attic to prevent further damage. It is hard to find a good roofer as I have never experienced this kind of issue before, this is our first house! Well, if we haven't fixed it for another 3-4 weeks, I might contact you again and see if you have any openings. Thank you for responding me so quickly, I really appreciate that.

Description of Work: Roof repair work was fast and good, painters took over an hour looking for the paint in the store, and stained our carpet and furniture with spotty pain everywhere, debris of the wall and ceiling were left on the stairways, bottom of the stairs and worst of all, we offered both of them water, they left their used cups under the guardrails of our stairways. George Parks charged my credit card for $3,800, when I paid him with my personal check (which was what he preferred), he did not reverse the charge on my credit card, therefore I was charged twice for roofing and painting job done by George Parks!

That's simply not true. The customer requested they wanted to use a credit card for payment so we obliged after we proceeded to process the credit card she then changed her mind and decided she wanted to use a check. We imeaditly had to contact the credit card company and submit a refund request which was then procesed by the credit company. This customer is leading other Angie's List members to believe that she paid 2x or that some sort of fraud had taken place and that's the furthest thing from the truth. We have been in business for over 40 years and our reputation is reflected in our A rating with Angie's List and numerous positive reviews As for the painters they protected the entire area as they painted and it's a 20 min drive to the nearest Sherwin Williams paint store in Torrence each [Member Information Removed]. They had to get the paint color matched for the interior touch up. So that proves that they left and returned with the paint very quickly I am very sorry if there's something that the customer was not happy with I sincerely try my best to make every customer 100% happy Best Regards George Parks

Description of Work: They quickly and professionally repaired extensive fascia and rafter termite damage on my two story home and then painted the entire house. I am very very pleased with the quality of the work performed and the professionalism of the crew. They were a great fit because I wanted someone who was knowledgable in both roofing and painting given the amount of fascia and rafters that had to be repaired and replaced.

I don't feel this is accurate. I explained to the customer that the coupon in question was not applicable to his project because of the extensive wood repairs that needed to be fixed. We did include a 15% discount on this particular project. Once the job was completed he wanted to use more coupons. I would like to add his house turned out so nice his next door neighbor hired us to paint all the exterior of her home also Best regards

Description of Work: Painted the entire exterior of my (large two story) house and also replaced some damaged fascia boards and rafter tails. Arrived exactly on time and finished ahead of promised schedule. Not the cheapest bidder out there, but IMO the best value since they did such a thorough job. Power washed first, then all wood was sanded and primed, tiles were removed and replaced so they could paint up under the area where the tile overlaps the bargeboard, etc. Very satisfied with the overall workmanship.

Description of Work: Re-roof a 2400 sq foot single-story house and attached garage. This includes removal of two layers of up to 60-year old wood roofing, cladding roof with plywood and installing Timberland composition shingles. This was all done in two and a half days, including clean-up of all material and waste. EXCELLENT!

These guys did everything right. On the day I was given an estimate, three members of the Parks family showed up. Not to pressure me -- two of them stayed in the car til I had agreed to have the job done -- but after I made the decision to go ahead, it sure was nice meeting the owner and two of his sons. The prep work really impressed me. Their main painter, Victor, spent more than two full days sanding the trim and prepping the house for its first paint job in more than a decade. He and his workers were friendly, considerate and very attentive to any questions/concerns I had during the process. The painting itself seemed to take forever. But that's only because the last people who painted my house rushed through the job. The George Parks people took their time and were so attentive to detail that I couldn't help but be impressed. And after they were done, I got a phone call and a note on my front door saying, "no, we're not done." Victor came back a few days later to do a walk-around inspection, and some additional caulking and touch-up painting. Oh, and in the three days since that final touch-up, three of my neighbors have come by to tell me how much they like the paint job on my house. I've told all of them that if they ever need their houses painted -- and a couple of them really need it NOW hahah -- I would recommend they call George Parks Painting.

I am very sorry if you feel this way and I apologize if it caused a inconvenience. But the coupon did not cover broken tiles. I did not want to take a chance of walking on your roof and breaking additional tiles, as your roof is very fragile and it would not have been fair to you. That's why I said you could have a full refund for the $199 dollar coupon..I don't feel its fair and its a false statement to say my quality of work is a F when we have never worked for you nor have you seen my work.. please read my reviews from customers I have worked for if you need information about my work quality. Once again I am sorry we couldn't be of service to you

They were prompt, clean and courteous, but not as thorough on the first pass. They had to come back to finish the work. The good news is that they did come back to ensure that the work was done right and completed and gave us zero hassles. So, we will use them again in the future and will recommend them to our friends.
Description of Work: They cleaned leaf debris from our roof, they replaced broken concrete roof tiles, they re-sealed the flashing, fixed the chimney flashing, and painted the exhausts.

George Parks came and gave us an estimate. If it were not a holiday weekend, he would have started the next day. His crew came on the day we asked to start by prepping the house for paint. Sanded, scraped, and repaired all loose/broken surface areas. The next day after they sealed all the windows and doors, they brushed, sprayed, and rolled on our new colors.
Description of Work: First the initial proposals. Contract signing and color charts. House prepping started with them power washing the whole house from the roof down. The home was left to dry over the weekend. Then they started by 'sealing' us in by covering all the windows and doors with plastic. That enabled them to start the scrapping, sanding and repairing any loose wood or nails and stucco. The next day they spent spraying, rolling and brushing all the appropriate paints on all the different surfaces.

I have used George for other past projects and things went smooth as always, he was on time, cleaned up and I couldn't be more pleased. The deck was rotten and they re-built the whole deck and stained it.... I am completely happy.
Description of Work: Replaced and stained a 20 year old 900sq ft wood deck that was in really bad shape. After being installed it looks brand new.

No jobs are perfect but their jobs are really excellant. I like their "friendly" and "professional" teamwork. The best, however, is they showed up the following day right after I told them some small spots need touched up. To sum up the overall experience, I am a 100% satisfied customer.
Description of Work: 1) Power wash exterior of house 2) Repair stucco where broken also seal cracks 3) Sand scrape where needed, also caulk and fill where needed. Replace any 2"x4" or 2"x6" ect trim where possible 4) Prime all wood rim on house and paint with 100g Acrylic semi gloss enamel paint 5) Paint all stucco with (2) coats of 100g Acrylic paint 6) Paint wrought iron with rust olem paint 7) Include all prep work and all clean up when done 8) Include patio cover in rear of house

They were thorough, expedient, and kept me informed. I think they gave me a fair price, although make sure you get everything included in the upfront bid. Add-ons can be expensive. They finished the exterior in only three days -- as promised. They also did a great job with clean-up. I'm very pleased with the results.
