"Thank you for the review [member name removed]. This pond was quite a challenge. We originally were called out two years ago asthey needed a new pump and their pond wasn't performing well. They had a submersible in the bottom of the pond and there was not a good way to replace it the way it was built. I was able to retro-fit it with an external pump, an undergravel filter, an external bio-filter with a UV and now the pond now works beautifully. As stated we replaced the pump and repainted the pond with a cementious paint. Pretty surprised to hear that she was happy with the job but thought the quality wasn't perfect because we take great pride in that. We did a lot of very quality work with the budget given and I assure that no one could beat us on what we did. Our expertise is in Building waterfeatures and NOONE does it better. Retrofitting a pond that was originally was not built by a professional is always difficult I am also confident that very few people would have come up with the solution that we did to make the pond perform the way that it now does."

Unfortunately I was the third person to build her pond, so I was very thankful for the opportunity; if I see a pond that isn't right I just really want to fix it, lol! I'm also a complete filter geek I get great pleasure in building something that is going to have water pristine water and is going to be VERY easy to maintain. I also take great pleasure in designing water features from an artistic aspect. Every new job is a blank canvas to me, it's not just a means to make money."
He also stands by his work and returns when there is any problem. He's on site working with his crew side-by-side and they are very professional making sure all existing plants, fixtures, etc., are fully protected. He brings a licensed electrician to do all the electrical work if needed and he'll rework your existing irrigation system if needed.
Our job entailed working within an existing planter that had numerous plants/trees over 20 years old. We had our tree guy tear out a bunch of the old stuff, but the roots left behind were a nightmare for Dave and his team. Still, they pushed through it and gave us exactly what we wanted. He even added some accent lights and water plants that tie it all together beautifully. We can't wait to add fish. For now, we're working with placing perimeter plants and getting our new sod in.
I would DEFINITELY use Aqualife again!!! You get the best design at a reasonable price with only the best materials. No short cuts or using sub-par materials here...and Dave (and his guys) are the nicest around.

Thank goodness he also had the insight to put a bottom drain in!! Unfortunately my puppy is still learning she isn't supposed to go potty in there and it makes it very easy to drain and clean when needed. I never even thought of something like that.
It is so much fun to watch the dogs play in the pool!! I know having this installed has already saved the cost in water I would have spent emptying the kiddie pool twice a day for the past year. I also had a small waterfall added which is great to listen to at night.
Now I have Aqualife come and maintain the pond as needed so I don't have to do much of anything with it (except when the puppy has an 'accident').
