They were very nicely done. They used two colors to match the paint on the exterior of the buildings. They worked with me very well because I brought my own architect into the picture and they respected a lot of what I wanted. My contractor who is still working on the property has told me the problems have been significantly reduced.

The work is good.  They are reasonable.

the first appointment of the day

The company, Able Rain Gutter, was very prompt in arranging the estimate, that I agreed to, and the initial work to be done. The 2 men, Kevin, that did the estimate and the man that arrived to do the work were both very professional & courteous.  The first 2 easy fixes were taken care of very quickly.  However, when the 3rd part was started it was brought to my attention that the problem was not as much the rain gutter but a section of the roof that needed to be repaired first.  I very much appreciated that they brought to my attention what the real problem was.  Even better their company also did roof work and could fix it.  However, it was a different person that did the roofing repair and would have to be scheduled at a later time. Turns out that the owner, Ron, and one other person did the roof repair.  Three (and maybe four) different times were set up that Ron would be out to look at it and start the repair.  However, every time he did not show up or even call to say he wasn't going to be here.  When I would call to see what was going on it was first the trucks were broke down and later no excuses were given.  The last time that Ron did not show up and I called him, he said give him 10 minutes and he would call be right back....I never did get that call.  Excuse me but I am arranging my schedule from work etc to be here as I said I would and for the owner not to show or even call 3 different times is unacceptable. 

In addition they all made it known to me from the beginning that I had found them on Angie's list and they were going to take care of me.  Even though Kevin and the man that did the initial work were both great...for the owner to make appointments and not show up or call is unacceptable. I give the owner, Ron, an F rating for Responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism.
I did send them a check for the work completed, $70.

This firm was professional and a pleasure to work with for us. The owner promptly came out to give me a quote, the same day as I called, without me having to be home. I came home and the quote was waiting for me at the front door. We ended up using Aloha because the price was substantially less, we will definitely contact this company again in the future.

After calling Able Rain Gutter I promptly received a in person quote for new gutter installation but required a second visit from the owner for the roofing (drip edge) installation as it is considered roofing work.  Promptly received a call from the office to schedule a time for the visit. The owner himself came to take a look and provide the quote.

I received 5 estimates in total.  Some gutter companies do not perform roofing work and thus would not install the drip edge.  Some companies were from guys working out of their homes/pickup trucks. There is a real difference in the types of companies out there performing work so do your homework. Able Rain Gutter was the highest estimate of all 5.  In talking to the owner about the job  and reviewing Angie's list I believed their work would be more comprehensive and professional (I did some roofing/gutters back in the day), so I chose them over the others. I'd rather pay a couple hundred more for a job done right than a cheaper one done quickly and poorly. The drip edge is to be installed before the new gutters would go up.

Come to the day the work is to be performed I'm told the roofer is out sick so the gutters were installed instead.  They were professionally installed and I am super pleased with the result. I didn't receive any calls about when the roofing work was to be scheduled so I was forced called them  couple times to check status.  I didn't mind the delays as it's August and not raining.  About a week later the roofer came out and started work. Two full days later the work was complete. The work performed was 100% more than I had expected  and I feel I got my moneys worth.

A side from some communication issues overall I am very pleased with the work performed. It hasn't rained yet so I can't yet comment on if the work was performed correctly.  I have little doubt it was but will update this review later after some more experience with wetter weather.

We still have to get in contact with them because they were supposed to replace all the gutters and there is a whole section of the side that they didn't complete. My husband has been really sick so I haven't pursued it. I don't know if it was an oversight. Unfortunately they were not very prompt and they were late for the initial inspection. They said someone was sick which was fine. When they were supposed to put gutters up they were also two hours late. We had to leave and didn't get to speak to anybody and we just left a check for them. The work they did was very good and they were clean. Everything was done well and there were no messes left behind. I would say their biggest issue is with their responsiveness. They were late and not very prompt. We thought the pricing was good.

No issues. They were prompt in getting out to do the estimate and very flexible on the day they could install...date was dependent on painters finishing, which was held up due to rain.

I've lived in my house over 20 years but last winter's heavy rains reminded me of some problem areas with my gutter system. This firm was professional and a pleasure to work with (from the office contact in scheduling and rescheduling appointments, to the quote process, through the install). The owner promptly came out to give me a quote. He listened to my assessment of which gutters currently worked fine and which likely needed to be reconfigured or replaced. He directly addressed problem areas, explained where he could continue to use my existing system, where and why he recommended new gutters, and gave me a competitive quote. Before beginning work, the installers were also careful to understand all my concerns, and communicate how they planned to resolve each of them. I was very pleased with the result and clean-up.

They showed up as promised. Completed the work in two hours. Cleaned up afterwards.

When I got home from work on Tuesday there were 3 messages on the answering machine and a note at the door from the contractor looking for me. Obviously there was a mis-understanding about which day we had set the appt for. I called the contractor on his cell around 8pm Tuesday and discussed the mix up. We agreed that he would be there the next day. We waited all day but he didn't show. When I called the contractor he had a major attitude. He explained that he was very busy and I needed to understand that. I explained since I was the customer I didn't have to understand anything. I called another venodr on Angie's List - Aloha Rain Gutters. They did a fabulous job.

We hired Able Rain Gutter previously on 2 separate occasions for a new rain gutter system and then for gutter guard/covers to keep out larger debris. Both experiences were positive (see previous reports). During the installation of the gutter covers, we explained to the representative that we had some leaking from a certain part of the roof and showed him the water damage inside the house. After he finished installing the covers, the employee looked at the roof and explained the possible problem. He was very knowledgeable and even took pictures for us so we could show the situation to our insurance agent to file a claim. Since heavy rains were in the forecast, we paid $300 for him to cover the roof in tarp that day. The owner (by phone) told me the amount would be credited toward rood repair if we used the company. The man who put tarp the roof told me that the owner would come out to look at the roof and give an estimate for repairs. The owner never called us about coming back. We waited and called a few times over the next couple of months. Finally, the owner came in September. He was very friendly, answered my questions and gave me a very reasonable verbal estimate, but I wanted a written one. I've called and emailed the company several times since then, with no success. I keep hearing that they are really swamped with other work or that he's working on it. It's been over a month since the verbal estimate (and 9 months since the initial inspection), and we still have not seen a written estimate or have any idea when/if we'll have one. I feel like we've been forgotten. They are rightfully proud of their long client list, so maybe we're too small compared with their bigger clients or they don't want the job. During the most recent call to the company, about 2 weeks ago, I told the office person that we've been waiting 9 months and tried to say that I'd like to schedule an appointment without the written estimate; I was told that we were at the top of their list, but she seemed in a hurry to move on. I really didn't want to write this negative review because they did a great job with the gutters, but feel I had to add this. If the roof work ever happens with them, I'll come back to update the review.

The appointments were scheduled and kept within a week of the call, and the reps who came out to give the estimate and complete the work (on the same day) were professional, courteous and left the work site clean.

Must look for another gutter repair company now.

Went well. On final walk through, noticed that the salesman missed and we didn't notice there was one down spout that was missed (we were trying to put down spouts in all the same locations plus an extra one) entirely. It wasn't even counted on the quote and we missed that one, too. We asked to add one more back in and the head worker had no problem doing that at the end of the last day on the spot.

I noticed that when it rained, water was gushing from certain areas of the gutters. I thought we might need to have them replaced since they are 20 years old. I found Able Rain Gutter on Angies List. They were very friendly and helpful over the phone. They sent someone out to give an estimate the next day. He arrived on time and explained that the gutters were fine, except the section of the splash shield that needed to be replaced, and that the gutters and downspout in the area were clogged. He was very friendly and helpful. Scheduled someone to come out and do the work. He also came on time and was also friendly and explained what he was going to do. My experience with Able Rain Gutter was very pleasant from beginning to end. I will recommend them to my friends and use them in the future.

After I made the initial call and left a recorded message they called me the next day and we set up a time to get an estimate (we got estimates from 3 companies.) The estimate from Able was in the middle and we were able to negotiate down another $100. The work and the follow-up adjustments were done well and in a timely manner.We are very happy w/ the product, colors and the installation. The color they helped us choose actually blends in very well w/ our house color so we probably won't need to repaint.

Able was very responsive, sending out an estimator the same day as my call. Appt was set and work was done on the day it was supposed to. I was impressed that they used gray downspouts to match my house without even being told to do so. Looks great!

They came when they said they were going to come and they did the work. They cleaned up too. They even had good ratings online. I wouldn?t have chosen them if their price wasn?t good. If need be, then I would use their services in the future too.

After my initial phone call I had Ron from Able Rain Gutter come out the same day for an estimate to replace the old gutter. I placed the order with him and he sent out a crew to remove the old gutter so we could finish repainting. We asked them to returned on August 12th and install the new gutter. Job looks great. Very nice installers.

Show up on time finished on time!

I thought the value received was excellent. It did rain a week later and the gutters worked well. I would give my highest recommendation.

I spent $300 on that work. They did a really good job from masking it out and all the work like it was done professionally. Everything turned out well and the drain seems to be working well.

We didn't end up using them. They actually were a very good company. They were just higher priced. They gave a lot of very helpful information. He was a very nice gentleman who came. Their bid was just higher than what we wanted to pay so we didn't go with them. They educated us a lot. They were competent, but just pricier. They were very good. If we had gone along with them, we felt we could have trusted them. The price was the driving factor for us.
