We had our whole house re-carpeted in May, 2018. About 2000 SF. Brent's was excellent to work with and they did a great job. Ben was great at the store and also did the house run through for the estimate. The carpet installers were excellent as well. Balthazar (Nada) and Nacho we're always on time did an excellent job and never stopped all day. They were exceptional, professional and a pleasure to work with. Very happy we went with Brent's.

We needed to re-carpet one bedroom in our house. We had already measured the room and were looking for a similar color to match the other bedrooms. So when we went into the store, everything was pretty quick and painless. We were shown 3 different choices of carpet and stood on the different carpet pads. We made our choices, paid the bill, and scheduled installation, and were out of the shop in about 20 min. When installation day arrived, the guys showed up on time and completed the whole job in about 2 hours. The only reason I did not rate them an A for professionalism is because we could hear them yelling very loudly to each other in Spanish, which of course, made us wonder if something was wrong. But the job was completed, and it seemed to go OK. Since it's only been a couple weeks and we use the room infrequently, I can't really rate on durability at this point. But I would consider using them again for future flooring needs.

After the initial installation, we had to complain about the quality of the seams where the carpet was joined in the living room. They did send someone out to the house who tried to "fix" the problem, but it is still not very good in more than one spot. A bigger problem is the overall quality of the carpet. We thought we were getting a good product based on the sales advice and price of the product. As it turns out, the loops on this low pile carpet pull up without warning with just normal wear and tear. That would be bad enough, but the vacuum cleaner caught one of these loops and pulled out a strip of carpet about 12" long before the housekeeper could shut the vacuum off. When I complained to the owner, I was told that my only recourse was to continue to trim the loops as they pop up, and that I had no recourse for the damaged area of the carpet. It cannot be patched, and will continue to have this problem in the future. We would have never bought this carpet had we known it wouldn't hold up under normal daily use. There are only two people in our home, so it's not as if we have heavy traffic in any room.
I really feel cheated on quality and value for the dollars spent. I would never recommend this company to anyone, and will not use them in the future. The smug "that's too bad" attitude of the ownership was very disappointing. Not the type of customer service you expect if they want return business.
Response from Brent's Carpet One Floor & Home
"[removed member name], I am the owner you are referring to in your review. I feel that you have been unfair in your evaluation. Our service to you from the beginning has been prompt and professional at all times as detailed below. When you initially called us with the seam issue, we sent a crew out and worked on the seam for you in a fashion that was both timely and professional. We did not receive feedback that there was any continued complaint. At any time when we receive a phone call about work that does not meet the expectations of the customer, we respond immediately. Our labor has a lifetime warranty so there is no danger of us saying we will not fix a seam for you. Your grades do not reflect the service you received. Now we come to the main complaint of the looped carpet. The carpet you purchased is from a California manufacturer, and is a high quality Nylon. When it was installed, there was no defect in the carpet. We cannot control what happens to carpet after it is installed. In your case, something sharp caught on a loop and pulled it out to a point where it protruded higher than the loops around it. These damaged loops are supposed to be cut by the homeowner to prevent further damage as they can easily be caught and pulled on by something else or by the vacuum. However, an aggressive vacuum grabbed the loop of the carpet and created what is called a "run" in the carpet. This is the same terminology as is used in fabrics and clothing. Because the fiber is continuous, anything that pulls on one of the loops with excessive force will pull the fiber out. This damage is more likely to be caused by a vacuum that has no height adjustment, but can be caused by any vacuum if the loop protrudes far enough. Just as you would not be able to return a garment that had been abused in this way, carpet that has been damaged in this manner is not the responsibility of the manufacturer or the company that installed the carpet. Once damage has occurred to a carpet in a home (outside of our control) our options are limited, as the damage was caused by someone in the home and not our company. We can do any of the following, as was explained to you when you came into our store: 1. Notify the manufacturer who will come and inspect the carpet. As the damage was caused by a vacuum cleaner, there is almost no chance that this will make a difference, but we did volunteer to do so for you. 2. Patch the carpet. The carpet you chose is low pile height carpet. This type of carpet shows seams more readily than carpet with taller pile height. We can patch the affected area, but the seams will be somewhat visible. You declined our offer for repair. 3. Replace the room at a reduced price. We are always willing to do what we can to make your experience with our company more pleasant, and to stand behind our installation. Even when we did not cause the damage, we will work with you. I am happy to replace the area at a greatly reduced price (near cost), but this alternative was also declined. Again, our responses to you have been professional and courteous. Your carpet is first quality (without defect). We have responded to every issue in a timely manner. We have not withdrawn the options explained above, but we cannot warranty carpet that has been damaged by a customer as I am sure you understand. I know that it can be frustrating when accidents happen to new floors, and we have worked through things like this with customers before. When doing so, we are not out to make another profit, but to benefit the customer - our 35 year reputation was not built on abandoning our customers in their time of need, but as a business we cannot replace things for free when we are not the party at fault. This does not reduce the value of our services or materials, nor does it make us less responsive or professional. If there is anything we can do to help you, we are willing and able to help you resolve the issue."

They did really good work. The tile has never chipped. They were very professional. We like what we have in there. Eventually, we might put tile in the kitchen , pull the carpet in the house and use them.

In 2008, we used Brent's Carpet One for new carpet, wood flooring, backsplash tile, fireplace tile, and cork flooring. They did a wonderful job! David is wonderful! He seems very serious, but he has a great sense of humor. He is a great designer and has wonderful recommendations. The installers are so nice, efficient, and do a fantastic job!
So, when we bought a new house in Dec. 2012, of course we wanted to go with Brent's once again. I met with David and we got everything set up to install new carpet. We had to get the order ready and wait until we got the keys to order because we didn't want the sale to fall through and have new carpet and no place to install it. Once we had the keys, we realized the previous owners had sealed the tile we planned on keeping, but sadly dirt was sealed too. This was devastating since we weren't planning on this expense or inconvenience; but, David made it work. We ordered laminate flooring which is absolutely gorgeous and reminds us of the hardwood we had in our previous house. David and Brent made it work to get the carpet we had originally ordered for the dining room cancelled and laminate ordered for it instead AND everything was professionally installed before Christmas!!! I will always recommend Brent's Carpet One, David, and their installation crews. I was home with my kids when everything was being installed and I always felt safe with the installers and even felt so comfortable I could leave them in my house when I had to run errands. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

I walked in the store, they greeted me. They were uber attentive throughout the quality explanation process. The date was set for the install. The installer arrived, pulled out the old carpet, installed then new, made sure the place was cleaner than when he found it, said thank you and left. A few days later, the owner (I'm assuming he is the owner?) called me to ask if I was satisfied with the install. I gave a resounding "Yes!"

Overall, I liked these guys, and I wish Angie's had an A- or B+ listing, because I'm not an easy "A" but "B" sounds kind of harsh. Our sales representative was patient, thorough, and helpful. The guys who came to do the work were hard workers, the foreman spoke a fair amount of English, the carpet product was very good, I thought the preparation was extraordinary, and the installation was truly excellent. Just one or two minor points worth of note. We ordered two types of carpet (one thick pile, another Berber). Where the two meet at the threshold(s) of the door(s), it looks a little weird. In retrospect, a carpet-to-carpet transition strip would have been appropriate, but I had no idea such a thing existed until afterward. I would have appreciated some suggestion along those lines. Also, the guys worked past dusk to get the job done in two days (which I deeply appreciated), but the next morning my driveway and frontyard (where they cut the carpet) looked like we'd had a mild snowfall from carpet debris. Again - small points but worth mentioning. It's a professional outfit and they do a heck of a job. I would definitely use them again.

Carpet installation went well - installers were punctual and professional. The carpet installation went well overall - the problem came when I was asked to pay a bill for $7,000.00. The cost of the carpet installation was approximately $4,500.00. The sales person, David, tried to tell us that we had to pay for carpet that we had not received yet (which we had ordered for ou living room and would not arrive until February we were told). He charged us an extra $3,000.00 at the time of the carpet installation( for our master bedroom) without consulting or asking us first if this was okay. He just went ahead and sent an invoice with the installers who barely spoke English. My husband and I did not feel this was an ethical thing to do. David, the sales person, did not even ask us first if we would pay an extra 3,000.00. We had given him a deposit already when we went to the shop to pick out the carpet. We felt that this company was not up front with us and possibly needed our money to go ahead and order the carpet. We have dealt with other carpet companies in the past and we have never just been handed a bill for an extra 3,000.00 without our knowledge. Had the salesperson, David, asked us ahead of time to do this, we probably would have consider giving some more money as a desposit toward the ordered carpet for our living room. He did not communicate with us at all. As stated, he made the carpet installers ask for payment and the installers barely understood English.

First, we dealt with Mr. David Nabat, who was the sales representative for Brent's. Mr. Nabat was professional and very helpful as we picked out our flooring and decided on which rooms to install the flooring. During the installation, from start to finish, Humberto and Omar were very detailed and efficient with the removal of the old flooring, the preparation of the foundation, and ultimately the installation of the hardwood floor. Each day, the cleaned up and put things out of the way of traffic areas. They were hardworking, professional, and courteous throughout the entire five days it took them to install the flooring.

The scheduling of the day was changed last minute which was a little aggravating. I had taken a vacation day from work and then had to rearrange schedules and meeting as a result of them missing the day. Overall, the experience was good, and the work was performed pretty well. No major complaints and I would use them again.

I FOUND THE EXPERIENCE WITH BRENT'S TO BE WORRY FREE. THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND HAD THE CARPET INSTALLED IN TWO DAYS. THEY EVEN MOVED THE FURNITURE IN THE BEDROOMS AND THEN PUT IT BACK WHEN THEY WERE DONE.

ALTHOUGH THE FINAL RESULTS WERE WHAT WE EXPECTED, THE WORK TOOK LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE. INITIALLY, THEY WERE SHORT ONE BOX OF TILE PER BATHROOM AND HAD TO ORDER THE EXTRA BOXES. EACH BATHROOM WAS LEFT PARTIALLY COMPLETE FOR ABOUT A WEEK. THEN THE GROUT THAT THEY PUT IN THE MASTER BATHROOM WAS NOT THE ONE I ORDERED BUT FORTUNATELY IT LOOKED BETTER THAN THE ONE THAT I HAD ORDERED SO WE KEPT IT.
