STEL HOUSE CLEANING

Stel House Cleaning provided 2 free house cleanings for me as a part of the breast cancer charity "Cleaning for a Reason." It is very nice of this company to want to try to help cancer patients like me but the damage they did to my house (and the poor cleaning job that I had to clean up after they left) caused me more stress than if I hadn't had my house cleaned at all. The first cleaning was solid. Not great (lots of areas missed - they completely skipped one bathroom - and edges of rooms not swept clean) but they were cleaning for free so it was fine. During the second cleaning, the owner & her helper left a soapy film all over my master shower & kitchen counter (took me hours to get the film off), bent a towel bar and banged up a wooden stair banister. I showed the owner the towel bar before they left and she, without comment or apology, just bent it back into place. The rest of the damage and issues she refused to resolve or address. Once my cancer treatments are finished and I have more energy, I will have to use Angie's List to find a carpenter to repair the banister. I was entitled to 2 more free cleanings from Stel Housecleaning and I declined to have them come back. So, I would not only not hire them again, I would not have them come clean for free again.
