I needed headshots to match professional shots that the rest of my team had done a few months ago. Marvin went above and beyond! He set up a little photo studio in my home and captured / edited exactly what I needed for work AND took the time to take additional photos of me in his own style. I don't usually like close up photos of my face,but I really love the photos that Marvin took! I would definitely recommend him and will hire him again for any future photography needs :)

Marvin was very responsive. He had great recommendations regarding location and options. We agreed since this would promote my business paulsprehistoricpark.com , it made sense to shoot at the park - my home. Marvin took a number of photos. I had 58 to choose. I ended up purchasing 5 vs my originally planned 1. They where all very good. I would definitely recommend Marvin especially for someone not use to posing professionally. Marvin is very patient and takes the time to get the best shot.

Marvin showed up on time, picked 2 great locations in our home and made everyone comfortable posing for both a formal portrait and then a casual portrait. He also took an individual head shot for my son who needed a professional digital portrait. Marvin quickly sent us the proofs and helped us select photos. He made his touch-ups and within days gave us digital family portraits for our special event. A few weeks later we received the printed portraits Whose quality was much more beautiful than we expected. Marvin was personable and professional and paid attention to the little details during the photo shoot. We would definitely call him again.

Marvin is great--very professional and personable.
Frankly, I am not the easiest subject.  When told to 'smile for the camera' or to 'relax and look natural' I tend to clench up--not very natural at all!  Apparently, I am not a supermodel.
Marvin took plenty of time, trying various poses and talking to me about my interests and goals.  The result was that I relaxed and we came up with many, natural-looking, usable photos.  Marvin never rushed.  His easy, fun, interesting manner--he's a fine conversationalist-- made it easy,
Then, after our Friday photo session, I had proofs on the Monday three days later.  After I chose the photo that I want to use, Marvin had the final versions to me the next day.

I was fortunate to find Marvin when it came time to update my business headshot. I have worked with other photographers in the past and found all of them to be competent and professional. Marvin is certainly that, but he is also much more. I dislike getting my picture taken and I know I'm not the easiest subject to photograph. Marvin took that in stride and made me feel totally at ease. He is friendly, extremely patient, very creative, and quite entertaining in the process. My photo session was actually fun.
The quality of Marvin's work is excellent; it has to be to make me look good. Everyone who has seen my photo is impressed. I received several versions of my finished picture including high resolution color and black and white files and color and black and white files in a lower resolution more suitable for posting on my website.
Marvin is a talented photographer and genuinely nice guy. The quality of his work is first rate. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend his services to anyone.

From the top--if you desire simple happy snaps, get what is taken and a CD package deal for a low price....do not contact Marvin.

Marvin took several months of painstaking sessions/work to find the right picture, the right setting, the right everything.

He is patient as an high school guidance counselor, professional as my physics college professors and demanding as my USMC drill instructors were...seriously.

He is a perfectionist, as is my wife when it comes to pictures. He spent the time to educate us on colors, shades, hand gestures, hair positions, etc., etc., etc.
And to boot he is genuine and cares about people....wish more business people had his ethos.
We have recommended Marvin to NAS Pt Mugu and to Los Posas Country Club as well.
