He was excellent -- very respectful and careful with respect to COVID-19. He found the problem within 5 minutes, got it fixed in about 30 minutes and even helped us clean all the lint out from everything. He also mentioned that he could hear another issue for us to be aware of and fix before it turned into a problem down the line. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

After confirming the heater problem, he noticed an unusual loudness of the dryer. I asked for his quote and he said "$160 to fix the heater, and the noise $80". I commented that it was perhaps wiser to buy a new one, and he agreed with me. In the end, I decided to fix only the heater. Why the job would cost that much - $240 to fix both issues - is beyond me. Their labor rates are through the roof. The technician fixed the broken heater in about 20 minutes, but did not clean up his mess on the floor.

They had no problem just cleaning it out. They were really nice. They were in and out within an hour. The person was very personable and he was very competent in what he was doing. He had an apprentice with him that he was basically teaching. It was kind of neat that they had this apprenticeship happening. He was a very nice guy. He clearly knew what to do to fix it. They also have another arm of the company that does heating and air conditioning which we have called.

We had what we now know is a very common issue for late model gas dryers: it gradually wouldn't heat properly. Fix is replacing the gas coil valves. Service provider was excellent in all aspects - B rating is only because $165 for a routine, barely 20 minute repair with parts at under $15 seems excessive. I know everyone needs to make money, and if that's the going rate for a service call, then so be it. But something in the $100 range would've been easier to swallow. Googled and saw the fix on youtube - anyone reasonably handy can do it themselves.

When I called this company that was recommended by Angie's List I was greeted well and I asked for a quote to fix my oven that showed an error code that indicated that the controller had failed. I priced the controller at about $25 from an appliance parts store. I was lead to believe from the Conejo Valley Appliance that the repair could be done the next day and that the evaluation charge of $50 would be waived if they did the work. I never got an estimate or quote. They are within 10 miles of my house. The technician arrive on time and opened the oven door, pulled out the temperature controller, pushed a new one in and was done-total less than 5 minutes. Back into his new Mercedes truck and he was gone. I felt I was way overcharged!

Jim was prompt and very courteous. He asked specific questions about the problem I was having with my oven. Then he took it apart reviewing the specific issues. Jim explained the part that needed to be replaced on my 20 year old stove, what it did and the cost.  I had considered buying a new stove recently, but I am glad I had the "old workhorse" repaired. Jim had the part in his van and was very professional. I asked him to take a look at my Kenmore washer - spin cycle on one setting is hinky. We filled it up with some water and briefly ran the spin cycle. Then Jim got down on the floor, lifted the washer and spotted the problem - oil beginning to slowly leak onto clutch. He stated that it was an expensive repair and I would be better off replacing the 14 year old washer when it finally stops spinning. No charge to diagnose the washer problem.

Great experience!  Easy to schedule and Jim as very nice and helpful.  We found out our freezer drawer tracks were under warranty, so JIm encouraged us to get them for free from the manufacturer (which we did) and he came back to install along with the ice maker.  Working great now!

.Dan was prompt in fact early. He immediately went about asking me questions and checked to see if it was draining properly through the hose into the sink and it was. I had previously had the airgap replaced which was plugged up a few days before by a plumber. I explained that water kept coming out of the "fill" outlet after I opened the dishwasher, and he explained that there was an electrical part that was not switching the water off. That's why it was intermittant. He was honest about the cost to fix $190 and I decided that the dishwasher wasn't worth fixing had since 2001 (12 years old). He was very helpful answering my questions about brands of dishwashers to buy. I was very pleased overall with the companies professional response. Would definately use again !

Wonderful people. Have used before for dishwasher issue, and the service person found the complicated problem, and fixed it although it took some time and the dishwasher had to be almost taken apart to find the issue. He was not rushed, and he took the time necessary to satisfy the customer. We are very happy with Conejo Valley Appliance.

Our oven had started beeping all the time ( the panel said FO)and the bottom oven wasn't working anymore. We were turning off the circuit breaker and just turning it on when I had to cook - because the beeping was so annoying- but I was using the top oven only. I had called another company that came over and said they didn't know what the code meant. So for a while we were putting up with it, but finally I decided to try to find someone to fix it.  When I called this company, they were responsive and came at a time that was convenient for me. He knew what part needed to be replaced. Everyone was easy to communicate with and I liked that I could talk with a person when I called, and not a leave a voicemail. We discussed replacing the oven and he did not push me to do that which made me feel like I could trust him. He ordered the part, set another date to return,  and fixed it, again at a time convenient to me. He was very prompt. I definitely will use them again and wish I had known years ago about them as we have tried many companies. I would definitely recommend them to a friend, and wouldn't hesitate to use them.

Provided a number of options, is going to call with estimate and installation date later this morning. Offered use of portable room A/C until work can be done, amazing!  Have been using Conejo Valley Appliance & HVAC since they started business in 1979, would NEVER use anyone else. In 1989, I bought a used refrigerator, same day freezer stopped getting cold.  CV Appliance came out, found that water from ice tray had splashed on fan in freezer, used warm water in a pan to unfreeze, didn't charge me for the call!  They are honest, total integrity, never try to sell you something you don't need. Prompt, courteous, clean, friendly, professional, and they know their stuff. I trust them completely. Am also going to have them replace furnace which is also 30 years old. After you've been ripped off by another company, call Conejo Valley Appliance/HVAC. You will be so glad you did!

Called and reported a problem with our dryer.  They were prompt and responded the next day.  The technician evaluated the situation and said that 99% of the time it was an issue with the XYZ part (I don't remember what it was called) and suggested that I replace it, @ about $100.  I agreed, he replaced it and off he went.  The problem was it did not work, the dryer still would not dry.  So called back and the same tech came back out and found that the vent to the outside was clogged.  Cleaned it out and he left with no charge and everything worked after that.  What bothers me is he found the clogged vent in about 30 seconds by watching the flame (its a gas dryer).  Seems like he could have found that the first time he came out saving me the cost of a new part.
