Both jobs had a similar experience. Called at the beginning of the week. Gilbert came out by that Wednesday or Thursday and I had a quote that day. Called and told them I wanted them to do the work by Thursday or Friday and it was scheduled for the following Wednesday.
Job #1: I took the day off. Job was scheduled for a Wednesday. The crew arrived on time around 9 AM. Immediately took down old fence and removed the old wood. They were very careful with the plants and pond. Started putting up new fence. Completed the job by 3 PM. Fence looks great. Good wood and solid construction. No issues.
Job #2: I told the day off. Job was scheduled for a Wednesday. Crew didn't show up. I called about 9:30 AM. I was told that because of some rain on that Monday, it pushed them behind. No one called to tell me this so I wasn't too happy. They said the crew should be out that afternoon to remove the old fence and the would put the new one in the following morning. No one came. They were still behind. Thursday I did not take the day off. I could not afford to do that again. They actually showed up. Fence was taken down and new one put up. They were careful with the plants and pond. Good wood and solid construction. I can't tell you how long it took because I wasn't here. That night I left a check in the mail box and sometime on Friday they must have came by and picked it up.
I am happy with the quality and construction. Crew was professional. Price was good. First job went well. Second job would have been perfect if someone would have called. I would have moved my day off to Thursday instead of Wednesday. I would use them again, but now I know if it rains, don't count on a phone call.

Overall their work was very good, but they did not show up on time and I had problems with them doing the work they were supposed to. They had to come out and fix it, but did not charge me for it, so they did the job they were supposed to do. It took longer than it should have because they did not pay attention to the contract that was signed because the person in charge had an emergency at home and the person he left in charge did not have all the information, but they did come out and fix it. I paid $6,000 on that work. When I was showing him I want my front fence set up, he did not do the right way and had come back and replace the fence boards because they put it around a planter that was being taken out. They were supposed to put the fence out 12 inches further from what they did and was on the contract, but I don’t think the person in charge had a copy of the contract. The major problem with them is communication and I am at home and I should not have to watch them all the time. The existing frames and gates were already framed and he asked me how I wanted to have them open and I told them that they did not put it in the right place. One gate was going to remain and the other was modified, but they put it on the opposite side I wanted them. They were supposed to leave an existing fence post in, but they took it out and I ended up having to pay half of what it cost to fix that. I told Gilbert that if the guys had just asked me before got to a point where it is irreversible it would have been great because I was not going to stand outside here. I have other things to do and it was a big problem and he knew that before that it was a problem for me.
