Ernest Taylor Painting

I had referred him to friends, and he became a personal friend of ours. I have recommended him to other people as well. He is very meticulous. He is very good with colors. He is prompt, and I have no complaints at all.

We needed help painting our new large home - too many high ceilings, complex angles and technical details. We have never hired painters before. Ernest came with strong recommendations and showed up within two days to bid each room. During the consultation he not only bid the work but walked us thru color charts to help guide our color selections. HIs bid was fair and timing perfect. Cost of supplies were included and estimated time to finish two weeks days. Based on his professionalism, detailed bid and fair pricing we accepted the estimate. We had expected to so some of the painting ourselves but thought better of it upon seeing his bid. Within 1 hour we had selected specific colors for each room - this prevented several days of indecision and visits to the local paint store.

Ernest arrived early with his helper on the first day and set about carefully masking and taping to protect our expensive moulding and flooring. He had purchased Dunn Edwards paint and all needed materials before his arrival. Work was efficient yet cautiously executed with attention to all edges, windows and details. His assistant, an industrious family member, worked ahead of him to clean walls, mask and prep surfaces while Ernest hand painted edges of ceilings and windows. Payments were made on depost, at mid point and on job completion,

We appreciated his welcome smile each morning as he is professional but also very personable. On arrival he would visit a few moments, swap stories then jump right into work. Each afternoon we would stand back and admire the progress. He completed the work in 9 days with only a few hours touch-up needed after flooring was completed. He worked cheerfully and we feel we made a friend in the process. He made it look easy, it was not.

We hope to get on his schedule for exterior paint when the weather cools down a bit, he is not only a painter but has an eye for decorative details and was integral also for final flooring decisions.
