After getting multiple quotes, we realized it's much cheaper to re-face your old concrete than it is to rip it out and start over from scratch. I was initially apprehensive about the process, but we're very pleased with the results.
The job took a week. They pressure-washed the old concrete, removed some of the plastic from the old control joints, sloped and leveled an area where I had removed some old tile, and repaired cracks with epoxy patch paste. Then they applied primer and several layers of cement overlay with color pigment, troweled to create a natural stone look. Next they applied a color wash to the entire area and sealed it with polyurethane sealer. The last step was to fill the control joints with Deck-O-Seal.
They were professional, arrived on-time, and cleaned up after themselves very well. They also exhibited a high level of attention to detail, something many contractors lack.
This is a small company with very few employees, and the owner works right along with them. It's clear they know the product and know what they're doing. I would recommend them to anyone looking for this sort of work.
