We called Kelly to set up an appointment for the estimate. He responded quickly. He was on time and very professional. He said the work would take two days.
We called a few days later and set up a time for him to do the work. Again he was on time. He did the work in two days just as he estimated. He was very thorough. He was very professional. He cleaned up after work each day. We did not need to do any additional cleaning. 
It is now early January and there is absolutely no evidence of any leak. We have had several storms with heavy wind, rain, and some unusual snow.
We would definately recommend him to friends.
We will call Kelly next time we need a General Contractor.

Everything went great.  We originally discussed replacing the sliding glass door with Kelly Bice when he came to repair it on 4/6/2014.  He was unable to find the necessary part to fix that door because the manufacturer has been out of business for a long time.  Despite that, he was able to fix the problem well enough to make the door operational again.  He did some research to determine which type of door would be the best fit for our needs.  He presented several options, and on 4/16/2014, we decided to go with the Milgard door, partly because the frame for that door is designed to fit in the existing frame for our sliding glass door.  We put through an Architectural Improvement Application with our Homeowners Association on 4/16/2014.  We received approval for this on 4/24/2014.  We notified Kelly immediately, and he sent us a quote for the cost of the entire project, including the cost of the door ($2586).  We agreed to the quote, and he came to the house to take exact measurements of the door frame since Milgard builds each door individually based on specifications.  Kelly told us that it usually takes Milgard around 4 weeks to build the door after he places the order.  On 5/28/2014, Kelly called to tell us the door was ready and arranged to come over the next morning at around 8:30 AM to install it.  He showed up right on time with another contractor (Chris) to help him.  Chris and Kelly are both very nice people and very patient with my dog, who seemed to think that they were there to play with her.  They are also very professional and knew exactly what they needed to do and got started right away.  They removed the sliding glass door and carted it away for us.  They installed the new French door in the existing opening, included sealant at the exterior trim and sill, secured the new door jamb to the existing aluminum frame, removed all debris and packaging, and vacuumed the area.  They did an amazing job and we were very pleased with the results.

Arrived on time, provided design alternatives, conducted work professionally including cleaning up the work sites. I would definitely use them again on any home construction project.

They are fantastic. This guy builds great stuff and he does excellent work. He does it thoroughly and on time. He plans well. He is a terrific guy. I can call him and he will come to my place and tell me what it is; that's all I have to worry about. I'm going to pay the price but nothing is overdone. He has done several jobs for me. He charges the price but I don't have to worry about anything and I don't have to have anybody come back. He is highly experienced. He is really a detailed guy and he plans very, very well. He will provide a cost and that is the price and he won't come back for more.

We’ve used Spring Oak Construction more than once and were going to use them again. This guy is easy to work with, shows up on time, does a great and complete job on everything and good quality work.

I would highly recommend Spring Oak construction! They painted my house on the exterior and did an amazing job! They will go above and beyond to make you happy. They painted my house in (2) days and were very professional and clean throughout the process.  Finding the right painter and getting bids was sometimes a tiring/scary process. Before Spring Oak Construction, I had a very bad experience with another painter. I decided to join Angie's List so I could have a little more peace of mind finding the right painter. I am so happy I made that decision. Kelly and his crew made me really feel at ease and decided to go with them based on their customer service. I soon discovered that the painting they do is down-right fantastic as well! These guys are good! Awesome. Mr. Vice is knowledgable, fair,  and professional. The work was done superbly when he promised to do it. And all of our neighbors have been ooing and ahhhing since!

Kellly came over to give an estimate. His price just to paint the house was well below the other I had received. He was quick to send a formal quote to my email address. Came out to my home quickly. Answered all of my questions. I took a while for me to get enough money to pay for the job but, when  I did call him back he knew who I was and had my previous quote. Crew came out on time, worked from 730 to 530. Professional, timely, job was done very well when they were finished. I would hire them again for sure.

The job was finished satisfactorily.  I had to be fit in around other, larger jobs he was working on, so it took longer (elapsed time) that I had hoped.  The bars were installed in the toilet area and shower.  He removed part of the drywall, but in a horizontal bracer wood piece, reinstalled the drywall, installed the bars and painted.  It was a lot more effort than I thought it would be, but they are very sturdy.  I have had bars installed in a rental property and they didn't do all that. 

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the remodel, from tear down to reconstruction.   All work was done on time and professionally done. It is impossible to tell the old from the new . A perfect job.   Each day all work areas were left clean and neat, and all trash was hauled away.  Mr. Bice is  very detail oriented.   He verifies and explains all work so there is never any question about what is to be done.  We have 4 small pets that he and his staff were cautious to assure they did not escape which was greatly appreciated.   We are so pleased with all of  the excellent work .  We believe we made the right choice for a contractor and we recommend him highly as well as thank him for a beautiful job well done!

Very well.  Still need to fix  the switches, as they are a little glitchy, but it really does work just fine.  Actually, I'm thinking of redoing my entire kitchen family room area and will only use Spring Oak Construction.  The details are minimal.  Came on time, extremely nice, what can I say, a pleasure to work with.  Does what he says he will do.  The lights are great, actually I think I'm going to upgrade the lighting in my bedroom and add four more lights.  I love LED.  Love working with this particular contractor, as he is such a great person.  Pricing was a bit more than we were looking to pay, but it was worth it. No more lights going out in my 10 foot ceilings which I cannot reach, lots of brightness.

He was helpful. He did a good job and he was personable.

He's just awesome. He's going to do a remodel for us but I've had surgery on my leg so he generously agreed to wait until I'm on my feet and out of the house before he starts. He's wonderful especially in his clean up. We've never had someone as meticulous as he is in the clean up.

Mr. Bice is very detail conscious and is on time and guarantees his work.  I will have him doing an entire master bathroom in the near future.

If Angie's had an A+++++ grade I'd give it to Kelly Bice, owner of Spring Oak. I hired him based on Angie's reviews and his bid to help ready an older home in Hemet, Ca, for sale. He understood that we were fixing the house as trustees of an estate and needed to get the maximum bang for our bucks so we didn't drain the estate. He suggested good but not overly expensive fixtures, supplied all costs and photos of the fixtures before he began, went out of his way to work with our rather tight timetable and work around the painters and carpet installers and did an excellent job. Kelly was polite, easy to deal with, always on time, and worked with us to make the house show well without draining the estate's meager finances. We are about 70 miles from Hemet and even further from Kelly's base in Murrieta, and never had a problem despite the long-distance communication and our inability to be at the Hemet house when he was working. Next time I need work done on my own home, I'm asking him first.

Kelly helped me prepare a house for sale in Riverside County. I loved working with him. When I bought my "senior home" in Escondido I called him immediately. We devised a plan for almost a total rehab and co-ordinated the service providers seamlessly. When my escrow did not close on time, he was flexible and made things happen. Kelly knows everything about home remodel and provides remedies to "snafus" without missing a step. He runs his business very professionally and agreements are made in writing. He responds quickly when called or e-mailed. I highly recommend Spring Oak Construction for ANYTHING you need to improve your home.
