They were efficient.  They came out, they did the job, cleaned up their mess, and told me what I had to do for maintenance and they were gone.  I have had no problems since.  It was just a quick and easy service.  They cleaned up so well that I couldn’t even tell they were there.  Rick was just a really good guy and he had some really great helpers too.  I did some shopping around and I thought it was a fairly good price, and they did a lot of work.  I probably only looked at three or four people but all I cared about was the workmanship, my neighbor was using him, I went over to look at his work and I liked it, so I used him.  I even recommended him to many people.

Rick is a pleasure to work with. He's very laid back and likes to get to know you. I helped him design the garden, stereo cabinet and will help with the hut outside and probably the shower. He does hand drawings (to scale) and works with you on modifications. He is very patient and has excellent ideas and suggestions to make your furniture/cabinet/structure unique. He loves the details that make each job one of a kind. I chose all the hardware and the glass and he loves it all. He's very complimentary. He obviously enjoys his work and we have been very thrilled and proud of the results.

One caveat. If you need it fast and have a deadline in mind, you will probably need to wait. But we feel Rick is well worth the wait. If something isn't right, he will fix it, and he is often the one who decides it isn't quite right. This happened with the stain on the pantry. We were worried at first, but he came through and fixed it on his own and we are very happy with it--proud to show it off. We believe we got a lot of extra work on our master closet because of delays on the project (maybe he would have done this anyway, who knows?). He underpromises and overdelivers. He is awesome in this respect.

I'm very picky and I have had to understand that EXACTLY matching a color may not occur (if you are really persistent I'm sure you can arrive at an exact match--it wasn't that necessary in my mind). Again, Rick's workmanship is awesome and the color is so close that there won't be an issue (his work has not been right next to the things we wanted to match and we are fine with the results). I mention this in case you are a true artist with an artist's eye, and I believe Rick did have an artist for a customer that he was able to satisfy. 

Also, make sure you provide things to cover your floor and any furniture that's in the same area. You may need to do some cleanup after the fact. Rick's an artist, not a maid! I told him he was a genius day. It didn't even go to his head.

I wouldn't hesitate to ask Rick to build me a house. He has done that and he has done major remodeling as well. We showed Rick's work to several people. As a result he is doing a closet for our neighbor and will be building a wall to create a separate office for another friend.

Prior to calling Rick, we had CA Closets and one other similar company do estimates. Their prices were WAY higher, the product is not wood, and they don't take the time or have the talent to design like Rick does. Don't go there!

I could not give Rick a higher recommendation. His work ethic, integrity and honesty are beyond compare. His amazing abilities no longer surprise me. I've never had a remodel go so well in every way. He arrives early every morning without fail and never ceases working until he leaves at the end of the day. He promised me my project would be given his full undivided attention; he is completely true to his word, working exclusively for me until the project is finished. There was one area of the project involving extensive gas line reconstruction and Rick readily called in another expert because he felt someone else would be more knowledgeable. Such honesty in home remodeling has become a rare commodity. His prices are fair and I've received far more than I've paid. His next project on a North Park historic home has been a year in planning involving several permits not the least of which required the San Diego Historical Society's approval. I have no doubt these clients will be thoroughly pleased with his work.
