Kurt Musick Painting

The condo was vacant so it was easy. I put a combo lock box so access was simple.

Completely painted a 2 bedroom condo inside. Used Vista paint, I was very happy with the result. I found Kurt on Angie's list.

Kurt did a great job. He was kind and listened to my ideas and specific requests. He brought a crew with him and they were friendly and very efficient. He used the specific colors I asked for and even did some custom designs in my kids rooms and included that in the quote. I changed my mind about a color after it had been done and he was willing to change it. Kurt was also willing to help us with our DIY cabinet paining project and do it on a day he typically has off.

Kurt & Cory are very polite, professional, and talented. They arrived on time and walked me through the process and plan. Very thorough and considerate (pointing out issues with eves, seals, cracks) and provided useful technical knowledge regarding painting and house maintenance. They were mindful of my property and tolerated my dogs very nicely. Both gentlemen are quality painters and I highly recommend them for any painting work needed. Highly likely to hire in the future.

Kurt and his helper were very professional and courteous.  Kurt came out to the house to give me a bid and then arranged a date for the work to be done.  They were right on time and worked on two consecutive days to complete the project.  They brought everything needed including the paint. 
The job was very well done, the paint looks terrific and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

It was actually the second time we used them for our personal home and we were mostly happy not all the way but we decided to use them again for a rental house that we managed and he was available and very easy to get a hold on and handle everything. He did a great job. We are not going to have that best experience with the other painters. Very good responsiveness.

He said the job would take a total of 4 days.  We moved 90% of the plants away ourselves  But the larger ones that required 2 men, we had to help Kurt (who complained as Cory was not there to assist) move them away from home.  My husband is 72 and did all the heavy lifting!  After 2 days, he said he had a more important job that he just had to do in Huntington Beach, so he left our job for a few days.  I was accommodating and let him take his other job, as he said he would be back in a few days.  During his absence, I took the time to inspect the work that he had done and noted a few items that needed to be corrected, such as missed paint, drips-nothing out of the ordinary that any painter would expect to do.  I sent Kust an email with some of the things that he needed to looked at upon his return (thinking that would be helpful to him).  Instead I got a nasty email back from him that I was "too picky" and that he was not coming back to complete the job, but that he wanted to pick up a few things he had left at our property.  He never even looked at my pick/up items before he declared he would not finish the job, to see what I was talking about.  When he did come back, he took his tools and my primer (that I had paid for-he snuck it into his truck when I was not looking).  He had insisted that I pay money for the job up front, which I did pay him.  So, now I have a job that is partially finished.  He refused to refund the money that I had paid him, even though he did not complete our contract.  His helper, Cory ( who is very nice), is a chain smoker and left butts all over that I had to pick up.  He also broke a piece of my window trim and never put it back up that was one of the items on my pick-up list).  I think he just had more jobs that would pay him more than mine and got behind schedule and decided to take the more lucrative jobs.   He could easily have finished the job in the 4 days he had allocated for my job.  Kurt talked a good game up front and I thought I really like him, but he did a lot of complaining about everything once the job started.  And left me with a mess to try to find someone else to finish!  I work in property management and have worked with several painters over the years, but have never had an experience like this.  Very disappointed!

I had hired Kurt and his assistant Cory about 15 months ago to do a Condo on the inside. I immediately called them again for this large home. Once again, Kurt & Cory perform nothing less than an OUTSTANDING JOB! They always arrive promptly and do not leave until late in the day when they are satisfied with the amount of work done. Everything is always cleaned up and put away at completion. This job took 4 days to complete in very hot weather. I cannot say enough about the work ethic and professionalism of these men. They are not satisfied until the JOB IS DONE CORRECTLY! You want something done right?? CALL KURT!!!

He is very easy to work with, very punctual ,reponsible and extreemly professional. I loved the work his done for me. I have been looking for a painter for about three years and I am so happy to have found him. Also, I really appreciate Angie's list team. I'll probably will used Angie's List services again. Kurt and his assistant, Cory, are the CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONALS! If you want a job done CORRECTLY and at a MOST REASONALBE COST, he is the person to call. They went way above what was necessary to ensure an Ole Senior Citizen was provided a HIGH QUALITY job. They arrive on time and do not leave until they are satisfied with the work and a clean-up is complete. it is quite satisfying, in this day and age, to find people who take pride in their work and will go the "extra mile". WELL DONE!!!
