Based on the reputation of the company, my contact with Jay, the quality of fans used and the estimate, I went ahead with the work.
The scheduling was done professionally and the installers arrived when promised. Mike and partner were courteous and professional. They worked efficiently with minimum disruption and completed the installation within the estimated time. The garage fan needed a part to finish the job. The scheduler was very polite and Mike returned to finish the job. Mike made sure everything was done to my satisfaction before leaving.
I was very satisfied with my entire experience in dealing with this company and recommend them without reservation.
We were very glad we did. Mike and his crew immediately went to work doing layouts and estimates. Mike went through every conceivable question we had regarding discounts, different heating systems available, and which one would be best for our home and situation. He also explained what would be involved in removing our old ducting and heater, and installing our new custom ducting and heater. They were also great at the scheduling, showed up on time, and answered every time we called.
Mike knew all about the heater we had chosen, the type of ducting that was going to be used, and all the energy/cost saving assets there were going to be.
We felt very comfortable, with Mike and his crew. They were straight forward, upfront and professional about everything. We were also glad we would not have to watch over them to make sure they did the job right, or took/broke anything.
Mike and his crew covered the floors and made hardly any mess, which was immediately cleaned up, and the job turned out FANTASTIC!!!!!They finished in one day!!! We were really happy.
Our home is very warm and cozy now and all the rooms get evenly heated. Also..... our gas bill went down!
There was a slight hum from the heater after they had finished that we noticed, so we called Mike and he was here an hour later, and fixed it. Mike knows a lot about what he is doing, and my son having been in construction for many years himself, was very impressed with the job they had done.
We have storage in our attic and we can now move freely about, without running into, or stepping on our heating ducts.
Mike and Approved Air are our guys from now on. And we will be recommending him to anyone we know. It is nice in our present day and age to find someone who gives you a good price, enjoys and cares about the quality of their work, and goes out of their way to make the customer satisfied.
1. Arrived promptly at the scheduled time.
2. Used booties to walk around the house.
3. Use cloth runners to ensure carpets are cleaned afterwards. He's clean and tidy...just look inside his truck.
4. Used vacuum cleaners to make sure all dirt was picked up.
5. Explained all the different options available are as far as vent types (single vs 2 stage variable speed fans), A/C sizes, etc..
6. Answers all questions with no question too dumb.
7. Tested everything to make sure the whole system worked before leaving.
8. Explained operation of the system including the thermostat (which can get complicated with all the new features these electronic gadgets have these days).
Here's what he could do better:
1. Can't think of one.
I'm sure there is more good things I could say but let's just say that I would highly recommend Approved Air. If you want your heating and/or air conditioner system fixed/replaced in a turn-key fashion with nothing to do on your part but open the door and let him in and close the door when he leaves, then Approved Air should be on your very short list of excellent companies to choose from.
from another company. I was originally
going to go with XX company had they called me back. But since I didn?t hear from them, I asked a
friend for a referral and she gave me
Cool Air Solutons. Their quote was
500.00 less than XX?s quote so I decided to go with them.
My first impression was how polite both Javier Garcia and
his partner were. My ducts and vents
were totally done incorrectly 2 years ago (when I didn?t own the house) and
they had to do some real manipulating of themselves to get around the
convoluted configuration. But they did
manage in 5 hours to get the work done and cleaned up after finishing. My air is now flowing freely through my vents
which hasn?t happened in the time I have lived here. I am so happy and pleased. I would definitely recommend them to all my
friends and acquaintances!
In addition to our house being a shambles with no useable kitchen or family room during their work, we were also dealing other personal issues: we experienced a sudden death in the family, I was very ill for two days while they were working and our dog had surgery on day 2 of the install. We are grateful to Mike, Kyle and Nate for minimizing our stress and can't say enough about how satisfied we are with Approved Air and their professionalism and kindness.
Bottom line, Approved Air does fantastic work, they are true professionals and I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of HVAC service or installation.
Great scheduling.
signed up for annual maintenance.
The installation went very smoothly. Mike was great to work with. He explained everything very clearly and did an excellent job with the install. I selected Approved Air from Angieslist due to the quality reviews and the fact
that it is a small family business. Mike showed up on time and finished the installation quickly and cleanly. The new unit works great and I couldn't be happier with Approved Air. I will use them exclusively from now on for my HVAC needs. Thanks Mike!
needs to add a central AC System, an April Air 5000 air purifier.as well
as some upgrades to the existing system. Mike is a "doer" not just a
talker. He brings his electrical background and the guy is bull strong
both his character and his physical work. Mike's son is super polite and
engaged just like his pop but he doesn't just stand around while Mike
was briefing me about the job. His son is always working. That's
impressive!
Ok a wrap up.
I sign up on Angies List
I find Mike's Business " APPROVED AIR INC", Call or email the company.
Mike Calls me and consults with me based on the needs of my home.
We set up a home visit
Mike arrives and I can tell that this is the owner operator ..The real deal!
He has knowledge base of the products that I am interested in and the installation process to the details.
He
works up some quotes and emails them to me. My wife and I in turn set
up a time for Mike to come by so we can get an order going.
The product arrives a short time later and we set up an install date.
The installation goes super smooth over a couple of days.
Mike gives me a call at work to let me know he has completed the job.
I
get home and the house is in order. There are no scraps, packaging or
scrapes or broken items. After I settle in from returning from work,
Mike returns to go over the job and instruction/instruction manuals.
I thank Mike and write him a check for the services.
A couple of weeks later the permit process that is facilitated by Mike is complete. All is good!
UGH!
We therefore were absolutely delighted that the next morning, within 90 minutes of finding and calling Mike via Angie's List, he was at our door! Within ten minutes of analysis he determined what the problem was and its seriousness. Instead of seeing a nice payday for himself however, he spent the next 30-40 minutes troubleshooting and fixing the problem thus trying to avoid us from giving him thousands of dollars. While these efforts proved fruitless, they were very much appreciated by my husband and me.
What was also impressive was his willingness to work with my husband and his professional obligations back home to schedule the actual work and estimated a one or two day job. Thus on the 26th of July he and his sons arrived right on time and proceeded to get to work immediately. They worked extremely hard and quick and finished the job in just one day.
Our new unit is not only more cost efficient, its quieter and performs much better than the previous one.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Mike and his two young sons and we highly recommend them to everyone and anyone reading this review.
Mike arrived right when he said he would, got to work, and diagnosed a bad capacitor in a few minutes. He had the correct part in his truck, and showed me the old blown part to illustrate the difference with the new one. He also offered to put in a hard start kit, which he explained would provide extra power to the compressor and fan when they kicked on. Completely my choice, he said it was helpful but not necessary. I asked him if he would use it in his own home, and he said he would, so he added that too. He checked the rest of the wiring and connections for any corrosion or issues and found none. We started the unit up and it kicked right in with nice cold air. Perfect repair!
All told, Mike was in and out in less than 40 minutes. Total cost; $286 ($80 for the replacement capacitor, $100 for the hard start kit at my option, $89 for the service call/diagnostic, $17 tax). I thought it was going to be a lot more, honestly.
Summary: Courteous, punctual, efficient, reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for anything more. I would not hesitate to call Mike again for any AC/heating needs for my family or friends. Great guy!
Justin's crew (Mike Guddy, T.J., and Jose) did a fantastic job on the installation. They fixed all the ducts that needed repair, checked all the vents to make sure they were sealed properly, and came back to do some sort of combustion test...I think it's like the HERS test. Cool Air Solution's employees are NATE certified.
I highly recommend Cool Air Solutions if you are in need of any kind of air condtioning or heating services. It's so nice to get a job done correctly the first time, and at a great price!
