"To [Member Names Removed] - we are sorry you feel we have let you down. Our clients are like family to us, so seeing someone refer to us as a "fraud" hurts us to our core. One of our core values is "Own Our Actions." Even though we have hundreds of 5-star reviews throughout the web and over a thousand completed jobs with no issues - this job missed the mark. Whatever could go wrong on this project went wrong. We trusted people we shouldn't have and received faulty products. We learned some hard lessons, and significant changes in our process have been implemented to mitigate this in the future. We waterproofed the shower using the Schluter-KERDI system (hot mop was unnecessary), but it still failed. The "leaking plumbing fixtures" we're the result of manufacturing defects from Kohler. These shower fixtures were over $5,000 from build.com and were high quality. We replaced and repaired them immediately upon being notified by the homeowner. Regarding the water damage - we own it! The job was ours, and it failed. It rarely happens, but in this case, it did. As soon as being notified, we were ready to take the necessary steps to make our client whole, including ripping out and replacing the entire shower and rectifying any damage caused. We have our warranty for these very situations. We understand it's not ideal, but things do happen as rarely as they are. No company is perfect. It's how we step up to the plate to make things right when they do. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed a chance to make things right. We in no way took advantage of anyone, tried to pull fast one, acted fraudulently, or demonstrated poor business practices. We will NOT own those things because we know who we are and how we operate. Our hundreds and hundreds of happy customers would also beg to differ. [Member Names Removed] - we continue to wish you both nothing but the best, apologize for our part, and hope that upon reflection, you know we were doing nothing here but trying to make things right."
