All About Sprinklers

Mario sells a good game telling you what he will do for minimal cost (landscaping, irrigation, etc). After agreeing to a price of $1450 for sprinkler installation, Mario immediately asked for a 50% deposit. He then showed up 2 days late with one other guy and laid 1/3 of a drip line that was never connected. Like a dummy, I took him up on an additional landscaping offer he made me for an extra $550 (totaling $2000 for entire project). I gave him $1000. He then promised to be there on a certain day but then made excuses each day he did not show up. On the phone he continued to make excuses about his health and not feeling well and that's why he can't get here to do the job. When I asked him for my $1750 back, he said he didn't have it because he has "bills to pay." Finally, after threatening legal action, he showed up and finished the job. The sad thing is the work appears to competent. Final thoughts...be weary if you hire him and do not under any circumstances give him money before the work is done!!!!
