Description of Work: I knew my home needed more insulation, duct work and new heating system but I wasn't sure what to do first and which would be the best investment. John evaluated our home and let me know what to work on first. He also went the extra mile and got an estimate from an insulation contractor.

+ -1 moreJohn, was very professional, thorough and carried out a thorough investigation. He was flexible with our changes in schedule and carried out the investigation free of charge. I would highly recommend him and would reuse his services.
Description of Work: We had requested John's services to see if there was a mold or some other allergen causing respiratory problems in my family. John looked at every part of the house very closely and although concluded that there are no active molds in the house, he did make many recommendations which would help in the overall improvement in our quality of living and would minimize the risk of mold growth - such as not using a humidifier, which although was needed to combat the dry heater heat during winter, was a big source of molds. He recommended alternatives which would be safer. He also recommended not using his air meter as he felt there was no imminent problem and charged us $0 for doing the inspection.

+ -1 moreExcellent, punctual and very honest. Really knows his work and was a pleasure to work with. Had great money saving ideas and is very up front about what does not or does have to be done.
Description of Work: This company will come out and do energy testing and air quality testing for the home. The service was excellent and the owner of the company John Eckstein is very competent and knowledgeable. He went through the house and had suggestions that we never would have known or thought about.

From the time I called the company I was impressed with both their professionalism and expertise. John is very helpful and not looking just to charge for services you dont need. He is very knowledgeable and really spends the time to let you know what is happening. He offered many suggestions about the house that are really going to make a difference and we are absolutely pleased with his work.
Description of Work: We had some major leaks and John Eckstein came out to determine if there was a mold issue. John tested the areas where we had concerns however his service went far beyond just testing. He is an expert in how to make a home healthy overall and had many suggestions and comments that were terrific.

John was great. I called on a Tuesday and he came 2 days later. He was on time, friendly, & knowledgeable. He left a monitor and came back 3 days later with a detailed written report, including pictures. I would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: John performed humidity, moisture, & temperature testing in my home. He took several pictures of mold growth in bedrooms & a couple in the garage. John made a couple of recommendations on the spot to reduce humidity in the house & how to clean the mold growth. John left a humidity & temperature testing monitor for 3 days to gather additional data.

Very good. We didnt really want air analysis (which is part of their usual service) so he skipped this to reduce the cost. He visually inspected our home, gave tips on maintenance and repairs that were needed. He took pictures and provided us with a report on all the items. He only found small things with minor repairs needed, and seemed very reasonable as opposed to selling things we didnt need. He inspected the crawl space (yuck) and since it was dry that day offered to come by again when it was rainy to see if there were any undetected problems.
Description of Work: Inspected our home for mold/dampness problems. Made recommendations of corrective measures.
