and couldn't be happier with the experience and the results. My vision is so much better, I don't know why I didn't have it done earlier. They have a great team and are very professional.

Dr. Volpicelli replaced the lenses in my eyes, in two surgeries two weeks apart. I initially visited three local eye surgeons, and chose Dr. Volpicelli for my surgery because his office offered the most comprehensive care. Dr. Volpicelli's staff was extremely meticulous while taking pre-surgery measurements, and generous with time answering my questions. All necessary eye drops were provided, so I didn't need to go buy those on my own. The fee was all-inclusive, covering pre-surgery measurement, Rx eye drops, surgery, lenses, clinic fees, anesthesia, and follow-up care; there were no surprise costs. The surgeries were successful and my eyesight is now dramatically improved.

I purchased it as a gift form my husband and everything seems to be going well so far. He can see! He liked it, the procedure went really fast and as expected. The staff was friendly. He only did one eye so they refunded half the amount. It's the same group I had Lasik with a few years ago.

Dr. V and his assistant were very kind. We felt very comfortable in trusting this doctor to perform the surgery.
We had visited other eye doctors and felt that he made us feel the most welcome. My wife was nervous, but the procedure was quick and went well.
She loves being free of glasses.

They are excellent. He was personally recommended to me from somebody else. They're readily available. He's good and funny. He shows a little personality. Sometimes when he is examining me with the microscope, he will be mumbling little comments to his technician who is writing stuff in the chart. He's not really talking to me, he's talking to her. I always wonder what this means when he's talking to her. I have had no problems with their billing and administration.

I was quite impressed with the service. I'm still going in for follow ups 3 months later. The surgery went smoothly and I got my ride home to heal. The doctor called from home on Saturday to check up on me before our appointment that same day.
Basically, for me they did an initial visit; pre-op visit; operation visit; 1 day post-op; 5 days post-op; ~2 weeks later; ~1 month later.
My eye correction had been worse than -8.00 in each eye. So, that I can see without contacts or glasses is amazing.

Upon being contacted by the office, I knew they were top notch. Extremely helpful in answering all of my questions about the process. One week after talking on the phone for the first time, I was in the office to have my eyes examined to make sure that I am a viable candidate for the procedure. The office is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and relaxed. I like to joke and they were able to understand my sense of humor without skipping a beat.
While waiting to meet the doctor, I read some of the literature on the walls that has been written about the doctor in the office. Over 10,000 surgeries and only 1 case of something going wrong. AND, the thing that went wrong was a short-lived, mild infection in one of the the eyes of a patient, which, in may opinion, was probably a result of the patient not using the post-surgery eye drops correctly, but I don't know for sure.
My eyes were approved for the procedure, so a week after the initial consultation, I went in on a Friday for the laser treatment. All in all, it took about 10 minutes in the operating room. I was in and out in about half-an-hour. My ride picked me up and I was gone. I drove myself back the next morning for a check-up and everything was good. Now, a month-and-a-bit later, I'm at 20/20 and there are no foreseeable issues with my eyes. Make sure to use the drops after the surgery and the moisture drops for a month or so. It's critical in the healing process.
I will be bringing my wife here for the same procedure, so that should be a good indication of how highly I recommend the doctors and staff at Peninsula Laser Eye Medical Group in Mountain View, CA.

My husband had a complicated surgery done, but they did a good job with it. He will consult him in future, if required.

On the day of my procedure, i was a little nervous, but the staff and Dr. V were very comforting, and so detailed in describing the procedure i was able to relax and breathe through the experience. The entire surgery took only THREE MINUTES!!! I was so amazed at the speed and efficiency, it was over before i knew it.
Dr. V made himself available for my follow up at 7:30am the following saturday morning to see me, which i felt was going above and beyond. I returned several times for slight dry eyes and itching feelings, but it was just part of the short healing process and today, 2 weeks after my procedure I am seeing 20/15 and loving it!

They were very polite and friendly. They dealt well with kids and explained things nicely. She seemed to like them and they did a nice job. They were supposed to do a follow up appointment and I had written it on the receipt. On the day of the appointment she was sick and I called to cancel it and they didn't have a record of it. I don't know if it was my mistake or if the person at the desk didn't schedule it. We didn't have to wait long for our appointment. She got a pair of contacts and she seemed to like them. She has been hard to fit for contacts and he hit the nail on the head for that. We had no problem with the billing.

I consulted with Dr Volpicelli for a second opinion on options for cataract removal and the best type of intraocular lens to use. I had previously been evaluated at Stanford Ophthalmology and I was not comfortable with the surgeon and their expertise with the newer premium lens and different options for my vision after cataract removal. I did considerable research on newer techniques and obtained a second opinion. Dr Volpicelli thoroughly explained all options that were available, and then explained the best options for my specific vision challenges and we discussed his outcomes and experiences with other patients using these same options. I was extremely pleased with his approach and he welcomed my questions and together we determined the best treatment plan. The procedures were done at a dedicated eye surgery outpatient facility and it was simply "amazing" that within a few hours of the procedure I could "see" better than I had for decades. I strongly recommend Dr Volpicelli, his entire medical staff and the billing staff. All were professional, considerate and caring. The outcome has exceeded my expectation. I went from wearing hard contacts and with glasses as well for distance vision to not requiring anything!! For near and far field vision, I can see it all. Dr Volpicelli is an outstanding ophthalmologic surgeon and I strongly recommend him.

MD was selected primarily from Bay Area Consumer Checkbook rating. He seemed very competent, knowledgeable and professional. He gave thorough evaluation and instruction. Several months later I returned for an examination. He took time and care to make an appropriate prescription for my eyes, which are "difficult" - i.e. monovision and astigmatism. He seems to have done well. He has also alerted me that I am growing a cataract and will evaluate when it is time to surgically remove that. I have confidence in Dr. Volpicelli and will continue to put myself in his care.

He is one of the leading Lasik surgeons in his field and in the area. I was beyond happy with my result and my results were much better than what I expected. He is very professional and very good at what he does. He is very much in demand so I would give him a B for availability. The office environment is very nice and very good people work there. They are very good with insurance and everything else. I actually see him for my regular eye care stuff too so I see him once a year and would continue seeing him.
