SIMANCA'S LANDSCAPING

Everything satisfactory for a few months, lawns mowed, edged, flower beds cultivated, hedges trimmed -- very routine gardening job, then went gradually downhill. Quick, slipshod work, sometimes only 15 minutes on the job. High crew turnover, crews decreasingly careful and thorough, less and less service as the months went by. Very disappointing because service started out great, then deteriorated. Phone calls resulted in promises to get on top of things, but no improvement.

We just needed to throw down some sod in our new home's backyard to keep the dirt and dust down. Jose helped us figure out the best shape (it's an odd-sized yard) and materials to use, and gave us additional suggestions for how to do the 'fancy' landscaping so that we won't have to tear out what he would be installing. We knew the work would happen over a number of days, and his crew was always sure to let us know they were there, and never started their noisy machines before 8 a.m. We had a bit of a delay because our yard is apparently full of rocks, and the rototiller would not work - they had to resort to jack-hammers! It eventually got done; the sod has taken root and looks beautiful. One of the best things was how thorough they were in cleaning up after themselves. Other neighbors have also been landscaping their new homes, and their yards and driveways are filled with piles of dirt that were not cleaned up.
