Marro's Repair Sprinkler System & Landscaping - Unlicensed Contractor was extremely honest he did a very good job. because they found that water leak, It was in her neighborhood and fixed it.

Gelacio responded to my request within minutes. He was able to come the next day and replaced faulty parts of our drip irrigation in less than an hour. He even fixed a leaky outdoor faucet. Everything is working perfectly now! I will have him work on our projects in future.

The business card I got from Marro Landscaping- showed a License number with the person name ( who did the job). He wanted the check in his name and not the company name. WARNING...He did not want to give me a total estimate for the job, but worked it cleverly into a 2-part job, the 2nd of which I was not prepared for, He would not give me an estimate for the entire sprinkler system because he said he needed to make sure the water pressure is good after he has done the first portion of the job... and before he can test the entire sprinkler system. He made me believe that the rest of the sprinklers would be fine unless he finds other broken stuff. My $475.00 job turned into a $750.00 job to make the entire system work. He changed about 8 heads. I also had to ask for a written estimate before he started work, which he did, but only did the first part of the job. (His receipts are haphazardly written so you cannot read them) !! !Being a senior citizen and not to savvy about hiring contractors, I feel I was misled. The work was good - for now. Because I was in a hurry to get it fixed, I did not follow my gut. I wished there are ways can monitor or have a checklist before putting these type of businesses in their list.. This is not the first time that I got truly disappointed with people I had hired.

The small project consisted of replacing three valves and wiring them, as well as two other valves, to an existing sprinkler controller. The quality of work was good, although I was not asked how they should run the wire to the controller. They way they did this worked, but was not what I would have asked for. This was a small project, took about three hours, and the price was high, almost $800. I had asked that the existing sprinker system be inspected. The pop-up heads needed to be adjusted and aimed, as well as some drip emitters might have needed to be reconnected or perhaps replaced. Instead, I was given an estimate on replacing all of the popups. When I said that I did not want to replace the popups (which all worked), I got a different, even more expensive bid, which included replacing all of the drip irrigation. Instead of getting a bid to do what I wanted, Gelacio gave me a bid for what he wanted to do, ignoring what I asked for.
