Franco Tree Service & Yard Clean-ups

I called for an appointment on Friday, the following Monday was available. They arrived on time and cut down both trees without incident. The agreement was to cut the large branches into firewood, and wood-chip the rest. My only complaint is that a few large chunks of the trunk should have been cut further, so as to fit into a fireplace. I got 100 pieces of perfectly cut firewood, but 3 or 4 gigantic pieces, that I had to cut on my own later.

After reading the reviews for Franco's I decided to give them a call. I left a message and was called back the same day. I texted a picture of the stump I needed to have GONE, and received an estimate that evening. We made arrangements for them to come do the work on a Fri. Franco arrived on time and got right to work. Took about 2 hrs to get that monster gone. I will be using them again.

Franco came out to give us estimates and to take a look at/assess the job. We decided to go with him as his bid was the most reasonable, and we really liked him. The job was done exactly as promised, and his team of 4, did a fantastic job with our trees. Our yard looks so great now. Our neighbors all down the lane have two thumbs up for him and his team too. So happy to know of a great tree care company.

Crew was prompt and efficient. No problems encountered at all. Recommended to our neighbors.

The owner showed up and did the grinding up of the stump.  Hauled away the debris and cleaned up the area pretty well.  Good job for the price he charged.  Would definitely use them again for future tree removal.

It was very difficult to get a hold of them.  I left messages but didn't get a call back.  I finally got a hold of someone and made an appointment.  The person had a very strong accent so it was difficult to communicate.  We finally managed to get an appointment.  The work they did  was satisfactory but I ended up paying more than what was posted on Angie's List.  Again if was hard to communicate because of a strong accent and I believe his ability to understand when I asked about the fee.  I finally gave up and paid the amount because I felt it was fruitless to keep going over it.  I do not believe he was overcharging me on purpose.  It was simply a matter of him not understanding.  He was a very nice man.  I really can't remember the date or the money  I just put something in the required field so it could be accepted.

It went fine, Franco performed the work on time and with no surprises. Exactly what we wanted.

They were a little late from the original appointment time, however they did call to let me know.  They did a great job on grinding down the tree trunk.  He even placed a shield around where he was grinding to protect flying debris from hitting the nearby cars (I really appreciated that).

I bought a big deal $99.00 for $200.00 worth of service but I negotiated to do some extra work which is covered in the above paragraph. I bought the deal on 7/16/14. I received a call back two days later and had the work done on Wed the 23rd. So a very quick turnaround. The crew of three arrived even a bit early which was great and spent aprox 4 hours to do the pruning. The majority of the work was done on a big olive tree. It was a hive of busy activity. Ok the work was done quickly, but in some instances there was some trampling of plants. I had a nice collection of succulents around the olive tree, some got trampled on and I had to replace one. I had a bird feeder but on cutting one limb, the crew did not notice it was there and it came tumbling down and the chain to hold it in place broke. On the oleander tree several strawberry plants got trampled too. ugghh
The crew of three worked well but at the end they had to rush off, Mr Franco inspected the work which overall was very good but in leaving early there was just too much leaves and branches on the ground and in the tree. It took me three hours to get everything back to normal. Talk about slight aggravation.! :(

Franco Tree Service was polite and professional.  They did a very good job with the pruning, including not taking too much off the trees as a prior service had done.  Franco's shaped the trees/bushes with care and a sense of aesthetics, with was greatly appreciated.
They cleaned up the yard fully and removed all the debris, so the yard looked great after they had left.

We purchased a big deal from Angie's list for $200 worth of services for $99. Mrs. Franco called us in a few days and we set up an appointment for the same afternoon to get an estimate for the work we needed done. Mr. Franco was right on time. We had other work going on in our yard, so we asked if he could come back in about a week to do the work. He provided us with an estimate of $300 for all the work, which I found very reasonable. So, with the big deal from Angie, it only cost us $199 total.
He did a great job removing the unwanted stump and bushes and hauled the debris away. HIs team cleaned up and the yard looked great when they left.
I will definitely use his services again when we need tree trimming or yard cleanup.
