Had very good ideas, did work quickly and under budget- He didn't mind our big dogs bothering him. We will use him for counter top replacement in the future.

I would highly recommend him.  He is very dependable and knowledgeable.

I can call him and leave a message and he always gets back. He checks his schedule and tells me what day he can see me. He will come out to give me an estimate and sees what needs to be done, and then sets it up. He writes everything down and nothing is assumed. There is no misunderstanding about what was said or estimated. It is his way of covering himself too. He does not charge for estimates. His first hour on the job is $85. and it is $65. every hour thereafter. He buys materials up front and brings you the receipt and adds it right on to the bill. 

Great experience. I couldn't be more pleased.  The last time we had a problem the insurance company recommended the contractor and he delayed, was not punctual, and used every penny and more of the estimate.  John Leatherman was present when he said he would be, called to check if the timing was good, consulted with me before he moved to the next repair or made a major purchase, and was considerate of my wishes, the costs, and any noise he had to make.  And he continually cleaned up after his work!  I could not be more impressed with a contractor.
