$550
The work itself was just fine.  $550 is a lot, but it's a big, giant, expensive built-in so it's not as wild as it sounds.  Problem was that it doesn't sound like ANY work needed to be done!
I called with symptoms and had a service person show up.  He spent about 90 minutes taking things apart (with my help) including about 25 or 30 minutes on the phone asking questions of the owner (as he was clearly stumped).  I was hoping that it was just a "really weird problem" that he'd never seen before - since I specifically asked if "they" had experience with this brand/model.
He ended up saying that the defrosting element was bad and needed to be replaced (that may not have been the part's exact name, but you get the idea).  I asked (three times) "can't we just turn it off and let the {bad part} defrost on it's own.  He really played up - "goes bad once and it's never the same... caused from putting hot food in the fridge..."  Not knowing how to work on the appliance myself, I literally HAVE to trust the advice I'm being given...
Came back out after the part was ordered/arrived and installed it.  With me AGAIN saying before and after "why didn't we just let it defrost on it's own again?"
He showed me the part he replaced and STRONGLY implied that it was broken "see, cracked here", but it was extremely obvious that the part had been broken when he took it OUT, not before.  I don't know that he saw I was watching when he pulled it out...?  And the break was obviously clean.
I was left feeling like it was pretty expensive and afterwards (I know, should have been before), called two friends that have the exact same model.  BOTH of them said they'd had the problem over the years, had service people come out and were told to just let it defrost on its own.  Caused from hot food in the refrigerator side and it did NOT require a part to be replaced.
I called the company back and basically said "did you charge me a lot just because your service guy was here so long the first time?  Because that's sure how it felt to me..."  (I'm paraphrasing here, I was more tactful).  But there was NO WAY anyone on that end was going to admit that the guy that came out didn't know what he was doing this time (despite all the time on the phone - assumed it was the owner coaching him).  I don't know if the service guy was covering for himself, the office manager was playing the "regular response" song, or the owner just tells them/her to always deny the problems.
I was pretty darned unhappy because ALL SIGNS pointed to them doing work that didn't need to be done.  AND THEN being in total denial about it.
The office manager offered me a $100 refund (probably just to go away...) so that was "nice", but I still have no intention of ever using them again.  I simply can't trust that they will be honest about the (need for) repair.
BTW, I leave really positive reviews too - just had a bad time with this company.  Could have been worse I suppose, but was NOT what I expected after the glowing review from a friend.  Really odd too since the referrer had raved about how the OWNER had done extra work and saved her money rather than doing too many repairs...
If you use this company, be sure it's THE OWNER that does your service call.  Seems like he's the only one that knows how to handle everything.
Too bad... I really wanted to like this company... : (  (not to mention the $450 I ended up losing over it...)

I called on Monday morning and had an appointment set up within 24 hours.  They booked me a week in advance, because the one technician that was most qualified to do both repairs was booked for the whole week.  I had the option to have them come out twice, but I decided that one visit was better. Blair came out a week later and fixed both problems - completely. Based on the dishwasher symptoms, he guessed that the problem was a bad water pump. What impressed me was that he brought a replacement part with him - even though he didn't know for sure this was the problem. This saved him (and me) time, because he didn't have to come back twice. Previously, I've had many repair people come out who were pretty sure they knew what the problem was going to be - but did not opt to "speculatively" buy a replacement part, as Blair did. The refrigerator/freezer problem was a common one, and fairly easy to diagnose. Still the location of the clog could have been many places. Blair methodically went through until he found the clog. In addition, the dishwasher had become mis-aligned with the counter, which made it hard to open/close the door. Blair fixed that too. He also answered any questions that I had and was courteous the whole time.

A&B was able to schedule an appointment to assess my dishwasher's issue next day.
As I expected, the pump had failed.
They ordered the new pump same day, and called to offer an appointment the day before Thanksgiving!
Installation went smoothly.
The installer brought a padded blanket blanket to protect my wood floor and took care to wipe up any water quickly.

The price was fine. It was a high end cook top and the burner was out. He was actually one of the few people who works on those. My experience with him was very good. He came in and did everything in one day. They were recommended by another company. It actually took him a couple of days to order the part. My range has been working fine since then. I would use him again if I have any problem with the range.

He has done quite a few things for me. There was a warranty issue on my oven and he took care of that for me. He took care of an issue with a fan. I started using him when I first bought a cooktop. The owner of this company is Blair Romero. I would highly recommend him. On his last visit to me, I did not have to pay anything, since the appliance was on warranty. I will use this company again in the future.

Blair spent about an hour pulling the range out, replacing the board and moving the range back into place. He also replaced the griddle on indicator led. Blair then spent at least 20 minutes verifying the oven thermamoter against his test instrumentation. Over all, Blairs service and professionalism were outstanding. This was his 3rd service call on this range and his demeanor has always been polite, curteous and professional. Clearly he knows Thermdor products and has the tools to make the job go quickly.

They're very customer oriented. They charge a reasonable price. They seem very honest and don't do any extra repairs to try to jack up the price.

My Maytag washer stopped spinning properly. Under the extended warranty contract, first another company came and said they couldn't fix it. Then A&B were called in, and they handled the repair with a minimum of fuss and maximum of professionalism. It took several visits because the parts that were shipped were defective, but through it all the dispatcher kept me informed and the repair people were punctual - even early - and knew what they were doing.

They arrived on time and immediately evaluated the problem. The wiring was replaced and stabilized so it would not happen again. It took less than an hour. They were responsive knowledgeable and pleasant.
