Showed up promptly, fixed both appliances on-the-spot at reasonable price.

• Jim charged me $97!! for a service call. I'd never used him before. He was recommended by my handyman, who's never made this kind of demand. When I first spoke to Jim on the phone, he acted as if driving the 20 min. from his location to mine was like driving across country ... "Wa-al, gee, that's kinda out of my range ... " This is Los Angeles. You want business? You should be prepared to drive. When he found nothing wrong with the stove, he said, "That's good for me but bad for you." You mean I have to pay? I asked. "Yes, you do. Ninety-seven dollars. I came all the way down here ..." 
• Come ON. If this guy wanted repeat business from me, he should have given me a break on the service call. Any tradesman should know that paying for service calls -- especially when there's nothing wrong, as it turns out -- is a bete noire of property owners. I manage six other units and there might have been more business for him. Not now.

Jim knew exactly what to do and was in and out in no time.

Our washing machine wouldn't work any more after the big wind storm power outage. Turned out that it had fried two of the circuit boards in the machine due to a power surge when the power came back on. Jim from Crestmont appliances came fast after I called him, had the diagnosis already on the phone, came by and took a look at the machine. He suggested to take it to his shop in order to properly test it. He replaced one board (which took a while as the Christmas holidays came up). He brought the machine back but it didn't work once it was at my place. So he took it back and got the second circuit board and another "first" as that was fried again. As this whole process took a while he brought a replacement machine that we could use while he was working on ours. Well, after more than a month we now have a working machine back. Hard to say if that was just bad luck or if he wasn't completely on top of things. His price was more than fair. He only charged $70something for labor and he came to our place 4 times.

He came three separate times due to some plumbing issues. I appreciated him making three trips to get the job done correctly. I really liked him and he was very nice. They did the work that they needed to.

Jim made the call, and left me with a very good impression. Not only was he very punctual, he also called a few minutes before to let me know he'd be arriving shortly. He worked quickly and neatly. I have nothing negative to say at all.

They were friendly, prompt, efficient, and clean. They were very, very good. They were also reasonably priced. The price was as per my expectations.

Jim was very punctual. He quickly diagnosed the problem (there were two). He recommended that a plumber fix the leaky hose, but when we couldn't get our plumber to do the work Jim came back and found a different solution to replace the hose.
