Seth responded quickly by email and telephone to make an appointment and answer any questions I had. Everything went smoothly. He arrived on time and did a very professional job. Being interested in "how things work" ... not just from a technical point of view, but also from a business point of view ... I asked Seth many questions while he did the installation, and we had a useful professional conversation. (Some professionals might be annoyed by such questions, but if Seth was, he certainly didn't show it! I'm sure he wasn't.) I brought up some additional work I needed done, we agreed on the price ($150), and Seth did this additional work very professionally during the same visit. Based on my experience, I recommend him highly.

Nathan arrived early and was very professional and courteous throughout. He gave me estimates before performing the work, explained each step of the process, and left me feeling confident about the solution in place. I'm very pleased.

Also helped me install a light switch with some extra payment. The price was a little steep compared with the BIG DEAL that I bought,

Did a thorough inspection. The photos and report are useful. Switched Electric found some problems that I had not been aware of at all. Took a while for me to get the report, though. I e-mailed after not hearing from him for a week. No response. I called by phone about two weeks later. Said he had already e-mailed the report. OK, so maybe it went in my Spam folder or something. Switched Electric said they would e-mail it (again) later that day and it arrived a few hours later. I'll probably hire him to make the repairs that he recommended.

All I did was buy your special deal, he showed up and several months later he sent me some bids. I haven't done anything with them yet.

We hired Switched Electric via an Angie's List Big Deal to do an electrical inspection of our home because we'd been having problems with the circuit breakers tripping whenever we plugged our vacuum cleaner in. They got back to us very quickly and we had an appointment within a week. They performed a thorough inspection of our wiring focusing mainly on our problem circuit breakers, and explained what might be going on. i.e. the outlets in question are using special breakers that attempt to detect internal shorts, but often trigger incorrectly. We haven't had the breakers replaced yet, but their explanation seemed reasonable especially compared to another electrician we had look at the problem who simply shrugged his shoulders when asked about it. Overall we were very pleased.

Seth was at our home for an electrical inspection. He was extremely professional and courteous and explained everything he was doing and answered our questions. After inspecting an outlet in the baby room that was wired incorrectly, he immediately repaired it without even asking if I wanted it done, which I greatly appreciated. He found it to need immediate attention and didn't even ask us to pay for it. After a 1-2 weeks, I called to ask when I would get the estimate and he finally emailed it, but it didn't have any pricing. I called a couple times to ask him to follow-up because I was very interested in seeing his quote and in working with him. It's been months now and I haven't heard from him since. I think he's been so busy doing estimates thru Angie's List that this has slipped between the cracks. Such a bummer. Would be happy to update my review if there is further resolution.

Didn't hear from the vendor. Told Angie's list again of the problem and there was still no response. The job is yet to be done.

Everything went great. Seth from Switched came right on time with he appointment. Walked my wide and I through the entire inspection, giving us options on what needed to be upgraded or alternative options since we were on a budget. Seth was really friendly and knowledgable.

The initial inspection was thorough and well done. The repairs on unacceptable electrical work was excellent. Not sure about the pricing?? Great guy too.

My stove "blew" up on Thanksgiving day. We knew what the problem was and would have done it ourselves but we were having trouble locating the right part. So I called Switch Electric and he came to my house. He arrived when he said he would and had access to the part and got the job done. The pricing was fair and thenservice was fast.

We were having electrial problems and saw an inspection special on Angie's List. Called and scheduled. Nathan came out showed us what needed repair and updating. We scheduled the work with Seth. They did all the work from there. Nathan came on time and had everything finished and cleaned up everything in good time. Our power was off for a very short time. My husband and I are planning on using them for projects in the near future.

I contacted Seth and he was able to give me an estimate. We decided on a date that accommodated both of our schedules. His co-worker Nathan, arrived on time and immediately set to work after going over the details of the job. One aspect of the job was difficult to accomplish and we were able to make changes that ended up being very satisfactory rather than tearing the walls apart. Nathan obviously knew what he was doing and was able to install everything with minimal instructions. I am very happy with the results and would hire them again for anything electrical. There were no additional charges. I had tried to contact several electricians previously and all were either too busy or did not keep scheduled appointments. Everything worked out well with Switched Electric.

The outside electrical outlet was installed nicely and the installer was very polite.

I really like the fact that these guys showed up on time for both appointments, despite where they are driving from. I don't like working with people who don't respect your time. I followed Seth during the home inspection. He explained that whoever did the original wiring work has done a good job. He was able to tell because volume house builders don't bother to wrap wire-end around the outlet terminal. It is good to know the wiring was done correctly, & it is also good to know Seth knew that. I had ordered the inspection, mainly for them to take a look at the outdoor GFCI outlets. I had purchased this house recently, the outdoor outlets had been really flakey. Seth pointed out number of things that was not done correctly (this was not an original work) I am happy with the work they have done. I will definitely ask for them again when I need to extend 240v wiring to my garage.

I had this work done as part of an Angie's List promotion and was very happy with the work done. I was called right away to schedule an appointment and they were able to find a day/time that fit my schedule. On the day of the appointment the electrician showed up on time and was very courteous. He explained the work that was to be done and we walked through a few options. Once we decided on the location for the plug he got to work laying down plastic to make sure that he didn't make a mess. The work was done quickly and the outdoor outlet looks great. When he was done he cleaned up and took the time to explain a few things about the work that was done. In all it was a great experience with Switched Electric and I look forward to doing business with them again.

Seth, the owner of Switched Electric did an outstanding job on some major upgrading of the wiring in our old San Francisco home. His work was well done and quick. He communicated well with us about all aspects of the job. When the inspector gave us some grief (no fault of Seth's) Seth persevered and got the work to pass inspection despite numerous delays by the inspector. We highly recommend Seth for electrical work.

We purchased the Angie's list deal for $99 for a home electrical inspection. We are in the process of buying the home and were in escrow. We decided to have an electrical inspection specifically due to some concerns we had with the general home inspection report. Seth arrived on time and began the inspection right away. He brought his own blue shoe covers, which really impressed me because it showed his respect for people's homes. He went out of his way to explain everything to me including my options and his honest opinion for what had to be fixed versus what we could address further down the road. I believe he overlooked some electrical components in the front of the house though. These will need to be inspected again in the future unfortunately. We only had 3 days from that point to remove our inspection contingency so Seth said that he would get me the report right away and the quote would follow soon after. As promised, we received the report that same day. However, we did not get his quote before our contingency removal deadline. We removed the contingency, but were somewhat nervous about it since we didn't really know the cost implications of doing so. After a few attempts to reach him, Seth informed us that he was experiencing problems with his quoting system. We eventually got the quote, which was higher than we anticipated, but would not have been a deal breaker for us in buying the home. In general, Seth seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable about our home purchase. i think he may need some additional administrative help though so that quotes get to customers more quickly. We do plan on using his services to fix some of the electrical issues on the home in the future.

I purchased a coupon to add an external power outlet on our house. The technician who came was flexible and allowed me to change the scope of what I wanted. He was very courteous and did very nice work.

Nathan came to my home pretty much on time and put on those paper covers on his shoes. Very pleasant, even, and bright guy.Explained what he was going to do. Showed me a couple of other areas I should consider upgrading. No pressure, but left a quote as we agreed. I know you have to be very careful with electrical and I think I picked a winner. I would highly recommed Switched Electric.

He didn’t call me within two hours like as he said he would in the Big Deal description. He also didn’t show up for the appointment and didn’t ever call me to explain why.

They had put out two coupons back to back, and so they were heavily booked. The owner, Seth, set me up for the 20th (after the expiration date). He was here for 20 minutes, pulled some furniture out and then he left my home. He told me he'd send me an estimate in 2-3 days with an estimate. He still has not got back to me. He did not do a full 2 hour inspection. I feel like he's been to busy with the houses with bigger estimates and mine is not important enough for him. I think he has a total lack of respect.

The company contacted me after receiving my email. They set an appointment time, and arrived on time. The electrician listened to my description of the problem, he then did a whole house inspection of the electrical system. The problem was determined to be at the receptacles. (loose connections, cooked plastic) An estimate was written and emailed to me, upon my approval, a time for repair was set. The work was done on time and solved my problems. The service person was on time for the appointment, very professional in his knowledge and appearance. I would use again and recommend Switched Electric for a job well done.
