Switched Electric

We purchased a "Big Deal" from this company, and scheduled a date and time for an electrical inspection. However, the company called and had to reschedule the first time. That was ok; we booked a second date and time. This time, the company did not show up on the date specified! We called to find out what happened and got a third date and time. This time their guy showed up when scheduled, did a pretty thorough job of the inspection, and presented my husband with estimates for problems found. On the whole, they seem like a decent company, but I was not overly impressed with their promptness an professionalism in handing the scheduling of our inspection.

Seth came exactly on time. He is very knowledgeable, has a great attitude and got along well with our dog (not required, but a great bonus that our dog could "help" by tagging along. He completed his full inspection of our home, and within a few hours we received a exceptionally detailed write up with photo evidence matching each inspection point and area of recommendation. We will not hesitate to call on Switched Electric to perform the needed services they identified. Seth was patient and explained everything we asked about with care. He even fixed one of our light switches with no additional charge during the inspection. Very cool. An excellent and very professional company with competitive pricing.

Seth first gave a written quote and thoroughly explained the work. The work was performed on time and exactly as described. I contacted several electricians for quotes before selecting Switched Electric. Of all the companies that I contacted, the team at Switched Electric was the most professional and responsive.

I called Switched Electric based on positive Angie's List reviews and despite a couple of scheduling snafu's that were beyond anybody's control, they more than lived up to their grade here. The work required two separate days, and they were always very professional, clearly explained my options, their recommendations, and their choice of materials. The result was that I had complete confidence that the work that was being done was being done right, which is exactly what you want when it comes to something like electrical. I graded their price as "Fair" ONLY because I didn't comparison shop, so that is exactly what it seemed to be for the time and work required... fair. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants "peace of mind" to be one of the outcomes of their electrical work!

Although our landlord ultimately decided to perform the electrical upgrade on his own, my experience contacting Switched Electric and the estimate process was fantastic! Terry was very thorough when scheduling the estimate appointment and Seth was extremely professional during his visit. He showed up on time, he was honest and fair and took extra time to review all the details of the proposal. If I need an electrician in the future, I will definitely call Switched Electric!

Good quality work. We had some issues with the lights turning on and off at irregular times, but seems to be an issue with the quality of the switch, not the work itself. The vendor was very professional, finished the work quickly and we're very happy with the service they provided. Most likely will use again.

The installation went very well.

It went well overall, they did a good job. They eliminated some items that another contractor said was necessary so that was good. They made one mistake and came back right away to take care of it after we let them know.

Shawn were professional, prompt and forthright. They were a little on the expensive side, but they let me know exactly what the rate would be before they even started.

Purchased a Groupon Deal to install 2 bathroom ventilation fans. Since fans were new installation in a 1980's home, there were additional costs that were clearly explained and accepted. Installation completion was delayed because of need for an exhaust vent by a roofing company in order to get obtain city permit. On installation day work was done quickly and professionally and vent have worked without a problem. Obtaining City permit and completing connection of exhaust hoses to roof vent was frustrating and long delayed. Apparently Switched Electric became so busy that our project was dropped from completion several times. Our travel schedule also delayed timely follow up. Eventually company owner contacted us and apologized for the lengthy delayed and offered to waive cost of City permit. City paperwork requirements were different than owner expected resulting in another delay. Later after we followed up, owner apologized again for lack of timely follow up and shared that he had hired an office person to coordinate work scheduling and follow up. This appears to have resolved issue as hose connection work was completed today and City Inspector arrived within minutes of completion. All work was approved and permit was signed off. Although delays were frustrating, work was well done and contacts were very professional, follow up on both sides needed improvement. Office staff managing projects and responding to inquiries should be very helpful. I would use them again.

Switched Electric is the most professional electrical outfit I've ever met in my life. The guy who gave me the estimate immediately asked me what my needs were so he could understand how to provide me excellent service.He was prompt, honest, spent a lot of time with me, and was patient. He drew out electrical diagrams on his iPad so I could see what he was explaining to me and understand.

Got this right before the Christmas season, made plugging in all those lights easy. The company came as scheduled, and work was done quickly. I was afraid at the price point of $150 the outlet would be of cheap quality, or the installation would be sloppy, this wasn't the case at all. Worker installed a very nice clean looking 4 plug outlet. This was a good deal!

After contacting almost a dozen electricians and getting only 2 estimates one that was just an hourly rate with no indication of how many hours it would take and one that would not be able to do the work for months, it was refreshing to find Swicthed Electric. I asked for an estimate to install 6 wall heaters and 5 thermostats that were 7 day programmable. Seth came in and looked over the rooms and then a week or two later sent me two estimates. One for convection heaters and one for fan forced heaters. The estimates were a bit higher than I expected, but I knew I would be getting exactly what I wanted. So I went with fan forced wall heaters. He found some really nice wall heaters, and thermostats. Seth ordered the heaters and the when they arrived he setup an appointment to install the heaters. He even added in an extra wall heater so the living room is nice and warm now. He was prompt on showing up on the appointments and courteous. Seth installed the heaters and thermostats and even had the inspections done. I will definitely have them do more work!

Although I was initially somewhat unsatisfied by the quality of their work, the owner, Seth Silbaugh made a point of coming to review the work that had been done. He agreed there could be some improvements, and was eager to make it right, with no further charges. It really turned the experience around for me - I'd happily recommend Switched Electric for electrical work!

The eléctrical inspección was done fine. It took a very Long time yo schedule the inspección since I bougth the service. ( about 2 months) Then it took 1 Month to get the inspección report.

He is a very nice, young man, he came out and did his inspection. He gave me a list of things he thought should be done but he could never get me a bid. When I tried to contact Switched Electric, he was going to get back to me and I eventually just scratched him and went to somebody else. It really wasn't worth my having him because I could never reach him. In the end, he apologized and he was willing to do the work for free but I have never been able to get him to actually commit to when he could come out again. He is knowledgeable but does not have a clue as to how to run a business. i did it based on it was a way to find an electrician who was Angie's List rated but then take care of the work I needed doing and it turned out not to be the work that I want. When I had the other electrician come out, there was something on his list that the other electrician said really didn't need to be done. It seemed like he didn't really have a handle on what he's doing.

The job was completed on time, as promised, all surfaces were protected, clean-up was complete. But........ we were not warned nor advised that installation did not include patching the enlarged dry wall hole in the ceiling. When we called the recommended drywall contractor, we got a quote for more than the original job. Not pleased!

Switched Electric came on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, and consulted with me step by step so that I was aware of some of potential collateral damage might be. As it turned out, there was none, and the electrician was done quickly and the light has given me no trouble since.

Seth was wonderful! Arrived promptly and was very courteous. He was also very honest with us. Suggested some things for us to do efore we started spending money on repairs which may or may not be necessary!! Now that we know what isn't the problem, we will have Seth come back and make some repairs to start working on correcting the problem we have.

First - A fine telephone conversation with a polite and very professional person. Second - A punctual (to the minute) and efficient appraisal of the job, including a lucid and succinct explanation of the process and the cost. Third - A really professional beautiful job, with absolutely no mess left behind. From start to finish, there was nothing that could have been done better. We look forward to having this company do all of our electrical jobs in the future.

Great experience. I purchased the $49 home inspection from Angie's list. Seth (owner) came out to evaluate my house, spending a good hour and a half inspecting everything. In fact, he went ahead and fixed the wiring on a 3-way switch during his inspection. He supplied me with a very thorough report including photographs. I then hired them to install a few ceiling fans and perform some of the repairs. Nathan came out to perform the installation. He was very polite, careful and knowledgeable. All in all good experience and they will be my go-to electricians for future projects.

It went great! He was wonderful. He was super friendly, competent, had my cost-savings in mind and had good ideas. He was very honest. He had great integrity and his office staff was communicative.

I liked Seth very much. He was very thorough, professional, knew what he was doing, was reliable, and did a good job. He gave me a report with photographs and detailed explanations. It was very educational, and I appreciated the work he did. I would have no concerns about having him do additional work.
