Switched Electric

It was a great experience. They did call and schedule the appointment themselves. They show on time and they did do what they promised to do and the communication was very good too. I would use them again in the future.

We were very pleased with Switched Electric. They were prompt, professional and friendly. Seth's bid was the second I got and while not inexpensive, we thought it was competetive and detailed - no surprise additional charges. Seth was easy to get a hold of and always returned emails or phone calls promptly. It is now one year later and we have not had any issues with any of Switched Electric's work.

We are very happy with the product and Switched Electric was very accommodating. The installation, however, was a little bit cockeyed. We had to redo some of the plastering around the fan to straighten it out.

Nathan was very punctual and nice. We would call on this service provider again.

Very well! The electrician was courteous and thorough. He was very knowledgeable and his work was impeccable.

Nathan had finished the previous job a little earlier than expected and called ahead to see if it was OK to come in 30 minutes earlier. No problem - "Switched Electric" gave us a very narrow window of 90 minutes of when he would be here to begin with, which I appreciated a lot. That was the first great thing. Nathan was very courteous and extremely knowledgeable and professional. We live in a house with an old electrical installation that apparently was patched up multiple times with attempts to turn an initial two-wire installation into partial three-wire installations here and there. Nathan recognized what the problem was and realized what its root cause must be. In 90 degrees weather, he went into the attic and checked box after box until he found one with a free running ground wire where he could fix the problem. When he returned from the attic, he had managed to get the voltage drop from about 40 Volts down to a very acceptable 2 Volts. But he didn't consider himself done yet. He brought in a vacuum cleaner and cleaned up all the dust and dirt that resulted from opening up the attic door and crawling in and out of it (that was around the drop cloth that he had put there). He had fixed the problem and left the house spotless. Maybe "Switched Electric" are not the cheapest (I haven't shopped around much) - but when it comes to electrical installations, I am not interested in cheap, I want and need excellent and professional - and that they are!

This was our second visit from Switched Electric. Nathan was punctual, courteous and accommodating to all my questions. While working in the breaker box an issue came up requiring him to do some troubleshooting. He found the problem quickly and fixed that at no additional charge to the estimate that was given for today's service.

Seth is a friendly young man and he is the owner. I like him and I wanted to give him a break. I'm very happy with them.

Seth, Nathan and Terri were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional, knowledgable, punctual. Price came in at estimate. They were at our house for 2 weeks, always arrived on time, were polite, friendly and clean. The work they performed (rewiring the entire house) went off without any issues or problems. They worked with us and listened to our concerns from anything as small as to which light fixtures to get to making sure we stayed within the budget without compromising quality. They were very knowledgable and able to answer any and all of our questions.

The service was good. I felt the price was fair.

Was a great service, especially as we learned a great deal. All of our concerns were answered and solutions provided. Here are some examples of the issues and questions we had: - Grounding of the house - ground was through foundation rebar and not through the PVC water supply - Bathrooms, outside, and hald of receptacles in BR were on same circuit and were overloading way too easily - Seth mentioned it was to grandfathered code, but would need to be upgraded if we were to do any upgrades - We have an electric car - Seth reccomended against installing another 240 line if we didn't absolutely need it (nice) - We wanted to do some lighting upgrades; again Seth advised doing upgrades collectively (to save labor costs) and to do in conjunction with a future kitchen remodel - excellent advice - Last, he pointed out some potentially dangerous electrical issues that we could easily fix - and checked the wiring BEFORE advising us. We were both very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and honesty about pricing etc. We have asked him for a quote to do some work based upon his review... we look forward to working with him in the future. PS - Terri at the office was very professional and nice as well!

We purchased a $39 big deal for a whole house electrical inspection. We spent above and beyond the big deal. They were fine, nothing outstanding to comment there. He did his work. We had some odd issues. He re-wired some lights in the garage, and they sometimes go out. I guess it is not ideal that it is not terribly inconvenient. It only happened twice. I think the price was satisfactory.

It turned out pretty well. I had them do extra stuff as well.

The only thing I remembered they did a good job and I don't have anything negative to say about them. I just can't remember the details. I remembered they talked to me, they did an inspection of the house and they gave me a little light up and nothing about it. I think I remember liking the guy that came out, they were friendly, personable and they've been competent. If I recall correctly, I think they came out and did it but they did not give me a report, so they had this kind of second guy do it.

Gentleman showed up on time. We went over the project. He suggested capping one of the outlets for future use. He also suggested using larger outlet cover plates (to cover tile work) and recommended a different color than we thought of. He made all the connections, then connected everything to the electrical panel box...and we were in business.

Fantastic. They are a great company. Fast, responsive, friendly and great at what they do.

I recently bought an EV car and expected to charge it using the 100V already in my garage, but discovered it wasn't properly grounded and my car rejected it. Switched Electric came out and offered me several solutions, the best of which was discovering a properly grounded outlet I had never noticed! I paid the regular service fee and everything's been great since. The electrician was friendly, competent, and most most importantly, he was honest. If he was in it for the quick buck, he could have done what I asked him to do, and installed a properly grounded outlet that would have cost me hundreds of dollars. Instead, when he noticed an outleft that would serve just fine, he let me know. I really appreciate that.

It went great. Nathan was punctual and very pleasant and professional. We also received a thank you note within a week after the service.

Seth came to give an estimate on a broken remote switch, and then did some research about replacing the switches to accommodate CFL bulbs. The follow-up visit had to be rescheduled because the transmission on his van failed. However, once he arrived, he was friendly and professional.

They said they would arrive between 11 and 12 and then they called at 8 and wanted to come right then. I was not available for an appointment at that time. They seemed irritated and wanted to know how soon I could be available. I ended up cancelling.

The electrician walked through my entire house, room-by-room, and the garage, checking all aspects of the electrical system. He assess all the outlets for grounding, and identified any areas that were suspect. He reviewed the circuit board and wiring in the garage as well. He took pictures and sent me a detailed report that could be used to pinpoint areas to repair, or that would be important to a home buyer. He was very thorough and informative, and offered suggestions about how to prioritize repairs or upgrades based on safety issues and building codes.

Really great. He gave me an electronic estimate and photos of everything that needed repair and an explanation of why. We set up an appointment for a few days later. He arrived on time, did all that he said he would, and finished in a timely manner. Very pleasant to work with.

Nathan came out for an estimate at the appointed time. Was very peasant and professional. Looked over what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. As this company had a work fee plus the fan install and additional charges for the wall outlet is ended up being a lot more and my other estimates. I did not use this company.

Got a prompt, thorough and expensive proposal. Did not use service due to the price.

He is prompt, responsive, reliable and thorough.
