IACOMINI CONSTRUCTION
About us
General Contractors serving the Bay Area. Lou Iacomini started Iacomini Construction in 1966 in San Jose, California. After years of working for others Lou decided to start building for himself. Iacomini construction thrived through the next few decades by demonstrating hard work, consistency and craftsmanship. By 2000, Iacomini construction had successfully built over 100 custom homes through the south bay neighborhoods of Saratoga, Monte Sereno, Almaden and Willow Glen. In 2002, Lou’s son Enzo Iacomini graduated from San Diego State University and took over where his father had left off. Growing up, Enzo watched his fathers every move. He was able to learn the meaning of hard work, a mentality that is a necessity in construction. Due to the shortage of land and the high demand for quality construction, Iacomini Construction still builds custom homes but has specialized in remodels and additions.

Now that this project is over, we are extremely thrilled with the results. Enzo and his crew were always prompt and courteous during the remodel and we never felt hesitant leaving our home in their care. More importantly they never cut corners, in fact during demo they found some less-than-ideal work by our home's builders (Shea) and fixed it.
Note: You really know somebody is trustworthy and honest when they stand by their work *after* they have all your money; and that is exactly what Enzo did. We had a very small issue in our kitchen where two electrical outlets were not working properly. I called Enzo and within two days he had his Electrician down at my house to fix the issue (only took 30 mins.) Making this issue, after the fact, a priority is something you want in a contractor but rarely see.
I would whole-heatedly recommend Enzo for any remodel you may be considering.
Enzo was the fastest response we received for a quote to have the work done. Other companies we contacted either never got back to us or took over two weeks to provide a quote that was more expensive; Enzo was able to provide a detailed quote for the job in less than a week and was very responsive after we reached out to him.
The only complaint that we would have with the job was the extended time, as the overall job did take a few weeks longer than planned. Some of this was due to subcontractors that took longer to perform the work, but in the end the quality of the work done was worth the wait.
Overall it was a pleasure to work with Enzo and his team, and we will absolutely use him again in the future for additional work we do on the house.
To start the renovation process, I got cost estimates from three construction companies. Of the three, Iacomini Contruction came back with the best price. I thought their price was fair. In addition, Enzo impressed me. I could tell he knew what he was talking about, and I sensed I could trust him. So I hired him.
Enzo was great to work with. He was easy going, which made him easy to work with. In addition, he was very professional. He did a really good job managing his crew. They showed up every day and got the work done. Enzo was very helpful as well. He made the renovation very easy for me. Knowing that I couldn't always be at the house to receive new applicances or to pick out new faucets or mirrors, he went out of his way on many occassions to handle those things for me.
Enzo knows what looks good in a house, and I appreciate his efforts to steer me in the right direction. Because of his knowledge and guidance, my house came out extremely well. The bathrooms look outstanding. The kitchen came out really nice as well. I am very happy with the end result. The entire house looks high end. I have received many compliments.
I would definately hire Iacomini Construction again.
The two bathrooms turned out beautifully and functional. Iacomoni Construction employs excellent craftsmen who know their craft. Painting, tiling, plumbing was performed to the standards you find in Europe. The custom made vanities, mirrors, and shower door are exceptional.
The entire project, planned for four weeks, was completed in five, mainly due to one of the inspections being delayed by the City. Overall the work was diligently scheduled, and we had no problem getting in contact with Enzo Iacomini by phone or email during the process.
We highly recommend this company and will certainly use it again.
Update:
Months later, we still can't believe how amazing the bathroom looks. And we have had zero problems with anything in the bathroom. I wish we hadn't waited so long to do the remodel!
All work was done professionally with attention to detail. His subs were efficient and timely and completed the job within the expected timeline. The project went smoothly except for an issue with the hardwood flooring we ordered and the company that supplied it. Enzo handled the issue for us and was able to quickly get his flooring sub to complete the flooring (which is absolutely beautiful!). Enzo was a pleasure to work with and his integrity, dedication, and work ethic was refreshing. We are extremely happy with the work performed and would definitely ask Iacomini Construction to work on any future projects.
We highly recommend Iacomini construction for remodel projects or new home construction.
painters of cabinets did not really do good job first time around. But they were good enough to take time to go over the doors and do a better job finishing the doors. I was not happy the first time I saw doors. At the end I have to say I was satisfied with how they turned out.
While Enzo did clean up and clear out things at the end of the job, the workers did not make a real effort to keep things clean and tidy in between as I wished. For example I swept and cleaned up the garage of sawdust and debris because it was so dusty and dirty in there and that's where all my furniture was stored during remodel!
"It is unfortunate that you were not fully satisfied with my service. I personally covered all the furniture with plastic and am sorry if the ground was left dusty. I wish you would have expressed any concerns during the job. The delay from the French door was un avoidable due to the fact that it was not part of the original bid and was not ordered until after we started. Thank you for your business."
"Thank you, it was a pleasure working with you."
"Thanks again for the report and your business. I'm glad that when it was all said and done you were both happy with the end result."
"Thank you for the great review. I am very pleased to hear you are happy and enjoying our work. Thanks for the referrals!"
"Thanks for the great review. I am so glad you love your new home. The one thing that stands out to me about your job was when you told me your house finally feels like a home. Comments like that make me love my job."
"Thank you for the review. I am glad I was able to meet you expectations. You were very easy to work with. Hope you continue to enjoy your new Master."
