MONROVIA GARAGE DOORS

We called because of a grinding noise coming from near the motor. We reached out to Greg and another service we’ve used in the past. The other service told us we probably need a new motor because it’s 18 years old and gave a couple quotes for replacement. Greg, instead, scheduled time to take a look. He saw that the belt was wearing and said this could be the issue. He advised that the belt should have a lifetime warranty and to call Liftmaster to order new one. He provided me with the model number and phone number to call, explaining that garage door companies can no longer request the warranty for customers and we have to call in ourselves. Greg came out last Tuesday & said the belt would probably arrive on Friday. The call to Liftmaster was super easy and the belt arrived on Thursday. We scheduled Greg for today (Monday), and he replaced the belt in no time! The backup plan was to replace the motor with no extra labor charge, but we didn’t need to do that! Greg is the best!

Just had one of the best contractor experiences in about 30 years. Greg Cusick, owner of Monrovia Garage Door in Monrovia, CA, was great from start to finish. He was punctual and very informative about the replacement of my old wooden garage door. He honestly gave me two options of either replacing the old single piece door or putting in a new roll up type. He did not pressure me to chose and best of all he gave me the best price compared to 8 other companies that bid on the project. I chose to go with a new door. The two technicians came at the appointed time and started to work in a efficient and professional way. They obviously new their trade. In a matter of hours, they took down the fallen garage door and helped me rescue my car, installed the new door, and connected the garage door opener. They even did a few extra things for me. Most amazing of all was that during all my interactions with Greg in person and over the phone he did not once ask me to pay up front. I called him to make the payment. Monrovia Garage Door Company is a real jewel in their niche.

When the door failed to work, I called Greg whose business (Monrovia Garage Doors) is located nearby. It took about a half hour for him to find and fix the problem. Additionally, he lubricated noisy moving parts. Amazing what a difference a quiet door makes.

Greg, the owner, came to evaluate the same day I called to evaluate the situation and actually replaced broken parts, including some we didn't even know had been previously broken. The door now works beautifully and quietly! The charges were more than fair for the parts and the amount of time required. Greg was helpful and professional from the time he answered the phone to the moment the job was done. He was on time and even called to say he is just a few minutes away. It's a great relief to know we can call on him again and we recommend him without hesitation!

Greg came out and tightened the chain on the opener. He worked with the door, making it level again. He got it working well again. He was on time and had a very pleasant personality. I liked that he didn't try to sell me on an expensive replacement. Cost of service was very fair. I would definitely call him again!

Went really well. Called on Tuesday afternoon and they were here on Wednesday before lunch. The door worked better than it has in years. Recommended them to neighbors who also used them and were satisfied.

Daniel was very professional and punctual. He called to let me know when he would arrive, which was within the hour time-frame I was given when I called to schedule the appointment. Not only did Daniel know exactly what the problem was, he fixed it quickly and explained to me what to do in the future if it should happen again.

Great! Got service same day, super nice guy (Craig) called when on his way as promised, did the work and explained it thoroughly. Would definitely use them again, although I hope I won't have to as their work has a one year guarantee!

Called the company in the morning, the receptionist was friendly and informative. Was able to send someone out only a couple hours later. The repair man even arrived a few minutes early, fixed the problem and seemed very skilled and helpful. Grateful to have found such a great local company!

Had several estimates and Greg of Monrovia Garage doors was the only one who measured accurately for the new door.  He found that one side of the concrete entrance tapered down almost an inch from the other side.  None of the others noticed and were two busy trying to sell upgrades.

On installation day the installer showed up on time, was clean, courteous and professional.  I asked him if he was alone and said yes.

He stated it was an easy job and would be done in a few hours.  This guy definitely knew what he was doing.  He removed the original door by backing his truck under it, disconnecting it and lowering it on to the rack above his truck. He then installed the rails and sectional door, rollers and opener.

He then showed my wife and me how to operate it and how the sensors worked. The price was as the estimate stated.  He cleaned up after the job.  Can't say this very often, but we were happy with every aspect of the experience.

Total for door, installation, chaindrive opener, two car remotes, one inside control panel and one outside rolling security wireless keypad was $1260.00.

It was very very good. Part by part he put the new door together, and was very knowledgable when putting up the new door.

We've used Monrovia Garage Doors several times over the years, the last visit was for a general tune-up. Dave came out and cleaned and oiled down the track and hinges. Several years ago, Greg, addressed a preexisting problem with the garage door, he provided a few options (including replacing the door), and ultimately recommended the solution that was the most cost-effective. We haven't had a problem since.

Greg is professional, friendly and practical. He came out promptly for an estimate, answered our initial questions, suggested options. He was readily available for follow-up phone calls as we decided on final purchase. We ordered new garage door w/ small row of windows, new opener. On the agreed day of installation, the father-son team was punctual, skilled, efficient and tidy.
Other stores had higher prices and/ or fewer options for this size garage door.

Monrovia representative, Greg Cusick, was on time for the consultation. He provided information as to the basic installation and upgrades if we wanted, which we did upgrade. If it wasn't for Greg's full disclosure of what they offered I would not have known what to ask his other competitors during my research. He was concise and to the point,
His team (Herman) came during the time frame and finished prior to the estimate end time. There was no residual clean up and we are very happy with our door. I want to also point out that his office staff was very informative too. We couldn't figure something out once the door was installed and she walked us thru it. We did not have to wait for Greg to get back to us. Monrovia Door is the business to call for a new door. We have already recommended them to others.
