On time. Estimate was competitive. Had one minor problem of relaying rrof to perserve disintegrated window frame. Promptly, and professionally resovled without dispute or issue. Would highly recommend.

He seemed unsure of what he was doing. Then he went on to tell me that he does not give guarantees on repairs, yet he had assured me that he could fix the problem. The roof was leaking even more when he had finished. And finally he told me that he would refund me some money if I gave him a good review.

On time, finished the same day, very polite and professional. Garvey Roofing was willing to respond to the immediate need rather than try to exploit an emergency situation into a whole new roof. They were the only company willing to do so and I called at least six other contractors. I will look to them again when I do need a roof.

They came out next day and patched the problem area and inspected the rest of the roof. I was afraid we needed a new roof but they said we were good for a few more years so just the patch job was needed. They very very prompt and friendly and did a great job. That skylight hasn't leaked since.

When they were putting the roof back down, they put about 30 holes into the ceiling of my house. I had to repair them myself. After they put down the roofing material we had big storms and the roof leaked and stained my ceiling. He claims that someone forgot to seal under the seems. I was suppose to received a ten percent senior discount that was listed on Angie's List and he didn't want to give it to me. It was like a nightmare that dragged on for months, which he promised the work would be done in four days. He was suppose to manufacture me a form so I could get a tax credit and he kept promising me it, but never gave it to me.

I am pleased to be able to recommend Garvey Roofing highly. Andy communicated very well with me, keeping me thoroughly informed as the job progressed. He carefully removed my satellite dish in order to install the roofing materials underneath it, so I didn't have to wait for the satellite technician to remove it. Andy carefully evaluated a couple of pre-existing leaks, determined where they originated, and repaired them. I don't think it's an exaggeration to call Andy a perfectionist. Owner Tom Garvey dropped by, too, and I got the sense that he takes pride in his company providing high quality work. The additional work (garage roof repair) was completely quickly upon completion of the house roof repair. Another thing I liked was that the price of the repair was very close to the insurance company estimate.

Even though I had wanted a total re-roof, Mr. Garvey took a look and said that I could get by with a partial re-roof and patch job, for the time being. Especially since I was planning a remodel on the house in five years, I really appreciated that he suggested a more economical solution. His crew came out the next day, and finished-up in two days. The job was finished just in time, because it rained pretty good the following week...Not a problem or leak to be found. A Top notch, reputable, and honest roofer that I would recommend without hesitation.

The crew arrived on time (Tom Garvey that made the estimate and is the owner was not present), asked us to move our cars so no damage might occur. They setup, repaired and finished the work in about 2 hours. The crew manager and his men were very knowledgeable and were very careful in what they did and how they did the work. They honored the $50 coupon I had without a complaint. I will definitely use them again in bidding for any roofing or attack jobs.

The job took about a week. They did the work, then at the end of the job they came with some additional charges that had never been discussed with me. Ultimately what I paid him was what we agreed on. They did a fairly decent job. They took off a huge fluorescent light off the back of my house cut the wires and left the to live wires just hanging from my house.

"When I bid on this job I advised this homeowner that installing a new roof would raise the roof and affect the air conditioning unit (on the top of the house) seal and that she would be responsible for correcting this. Once hired, I also reminded her of this on several other occasions: at the beginning of, the end of and during the job. In the end, the homeowner asked that my company re-seal the air conditioning unit and I advised the homeowner there would be an additional charge for this work as it was not included in the original estimate. She agreed, but did not want to pay the additional charge. In addition, during the course of our work, I noticed that the home had sub-par wiring. I advised the homeowner of this also. A circuit breaker blew while we were on the job. Although this was not caused by our work, because the homeowner was upset about this, I replaced the circuit breaker and did not charge her for the replacement ($300). This was also the reason we did not re-connect the fluorescent lamp—we will not re-attach interior grade wire on an outside lamp. The wires were not live."

The work was done professionally and in half the quoted time. Workers put forth extra effort to keep debris off ceiling-less areas. Additionally, the team removed some extra trash we had around our property from other renovations when cleaning up. The roof looks good and added some needed structural support to the rafters. The only complaint is punctuality. The team showed up a day later than agreed upon, but they made up for the time by finishing early. Hopefully, I will not need to buy another roof for a long time, but if I did, I would call Garvey Roofing.

At times there are unforeseen circumstances that are not visible at the time of an estimate, but need to be taken care of before completing a job and therefore the job will take longer than estimated. This is what happened in this circumstance. The previous job, prior to this homeowner’s, took longer than expected. While constantly on rain watch during season, we don’t want anything exposed while work is taking place. By doing one job at a time, we will not leave before a job is finished to take care of our clients; to protect their home and possessions. Other contractors disappear, sometimes for days at a time--we would rather begin a job later than agreed upon, to the benefit our current clients. At Garvey Roofing, we make every effort to be on time to our jobs and attempt to finish on time, if not early, once a job begins."

HE WAS ONLY ONE OF THREE CONTRACTORS THAT IS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT PUTTING ON A TORCH DOWN ROOF. HE WAS A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE OTHER TWO BUT HE RETURNED CALLS RIGHT AWAY. HE WALKED ME THROUGH THE PROCESS, AND SHOWED ME OTHER WORK HE HAD DONE.
