Foothill Termite Control

After accepting the work estimate, I had Mike treat the area, doing it all himself. Fortunately, the house did not require tenting. All the while he answered many questions about the specific infestation and about termites in general.

Mike is a very likeable and honest professional. The first thing that impressed me was that he was honest and exposed the problem and gave me options. Based on the exact problem we had he told us that tenting was not necessary since we had isolated spots of infestation. This was VERY refreshing since I'm sure there are people out there that would prompt a full tent job so they could jack up their profits. I felt that he was reasonable and fair with his quote of $500. I will have him out next summer to do a follow up inspection and would highly recommend him. An added bonus was that I enjoyed talking music with him since we both play in bands in our spare time.

We contacted Foothill Termite because we noticed some small brown pellets in our living room, near the window. Mike, the owner, came to our home and conducted a whole house inspection. This included inspection of the rooms, the exterior of the home, the attic, and the crawl space under the house. His diagnosis: termites in the living room, attic, and sub-basement. He offered two options. First was whole-house tenting which would have run almost $2,000.00. He also offered a cheaper version where he would spray the infested areas. We chose the cheaper alternative and he was able to do the job in about six hours. He had to charge us a little more than the $520 estimate because he had to cut into the top of our sitting window and take out damaged wood from inside.
All in all Mike communicated with us throughout the process to explain what he was doing. We found him to be professional and courteous, and we would recommend him to our friends.
