Went great, everything was done as requested. Was a little hard reaching him as he had changed his phone number (after he had an accident and was out of commission for awhile, which I was not aware of). But after I contacted him at his new number (626.358.2374) he showed up right away to see what I had on my "list" (see above). Then completed everything perfectly.

David was hired to do the kitchen renovation because he was still doing ceramic tile work in our bathroom and told us that he could do the kitchen renovation. He gave us a good price so we hired him to do the kitchen. The dishwasher after he installed it didn't clean properly. He told us to call the manufacturer. When they came out, the told us that he had used some incorrect hoses and that the dishwasher was leaking. We had to pay some one else to repair the faulty dishwasher installation. The microwave would short. We found out that that was because the ground wire was attached incorrectly and hired another contractor to repair it because David stopped returning our phone calls. We have so far had no problems with the range. The backsplash installation was not completed by David. The cabinetry that he built is shoddy. He did haul away the trash that we hired him to do, though he charged us a dump fee which was not included in the original estimate.

After seeing the shoddy workmanship, David told us that he and his father, Chris would come in and complete the job in about 3-4 days. He charged us an hourly rate of $35 an hour. That was our first mistake. We should have gone with a fixed rate. He ended up working in the bathroom for about a week and the job was never properly completed.

While he was cutting parts for a railing, he cut through my hardwood floor. Some of the railings were miscued and not straight. I felt like there was a sense of urgency while he was doing the job. I tried to call him back and have received no response.

David was very prompt and courteous. He did a wonderful job and we are extremely pleased. We had another handyman do the tile in our kitchen a couple of years ago, but David's work just looks better. We couldn't be more pleased. David also does granite (and painting, dry wall, molding, windows, etc.), which we will probably hire him for when we do our kitchen.
