Many mistakes in pruning the shrubs, not checking sprinklers per agreement, leaving security gate to backyard unlocked. Overspraying roses with poison and killing some of them. They didn't replace the dead roses as promised. Lack of attention to detail. When items were brought to the attention of the supervisor, we were just given arrogant, I know it all responses. Their prices were very high compared to the lack of quality of work. They finally emailed me and quit instead of trying to improve their work. I would not reccomend.

We needed our irrigation upgraded and Brandon's crew came out and did a great job.  They were on time, worked diligently and the crew was very knowledgeable and professional. They checked the sprinkler coverage, upgraded nozzles, etc. and now our garden areas and grass looks better than ever.  Thank you Brandon's.

We were having a large event in our backyard and requested Brandon's Landscapes to come out and give us an estimate for a cleanout/refresher.  A very accommodating gentleman by the name of Tobias came to our home and thoroughly discussed many options for upgrading the yard.  My wife and I chose to move forward with Brandon's Landscaping even though we felt they were a bit pricey.  We are so glad we did because you get what you pay for.  The crew was very professional, punctual and polite and used quality materials.  Our yard was beautiful and we enjoyed the many compliments we received.

Thank you Tobias, Brandon and crew for helping us "look good"!

Recently, I contracted Brandon's Landscapes for a project and was extremely dissatisfied.  I was putting my house on the market and had 3 months and $2,500 to figure out how to improve the curb appeal.  My front lawn had died with the drought, so I was looking to either revive the lawn or install plants in areas where the grass had died.  My primary objective was to do something within my budget that would improve the look of the lawn.  Brandon came out and was confident that he could install drought resistant plants that could show well for my house.  We spoke for 5 minutes and then he followed up with the proposal later that afternoon.  The quote was for $2,665 ($165 more than my maximum budget).  I reluctantly agreed because he assured me that it would help the appearance of my lawn.  Scheduling the work then became a challenge.  I no longer lived at the property and needed to coordinate schedules to arrange to be there.  Theirproposed install was for January.  I reminded them that this was to prepare for my house on market in mid-Febraury and I had concerns about the lawn looking bare if we waited until mid-January to plant.  I never could nail them down on a specific date.  I grew frustrated with the lack of response and decided I would seek out another option.  Then, on New Years Eve, my neighbor sent me pictures of my lawn completely dug up and very small plants installed.  I was not happy, I went from having an established lawn to something that looked very bare - and poor curb appeal.  I also saw that several plants were dying. I discussed this with Brandon and he did not care.  My satisfaction was not a factor.  He just wanted to get paid.  I was furious that I spent this money on something that did not meet my needs.  To add insult to injury, they charged me $300 more than the quoted price for "irrigation."  I never approved this additional cost.  They also took advantage of my situation and knew that I was in the process of selling my home, so they threatened to put a lien on my property if I did  not pay the invoice in full.  I had no recourse and in the interest of time, I gave them their money with the vow that I would do my best to warn other potential clients about doing business with them.  They do not hold customer satisfaction, integrity or quality of work as guiding values for how they do business.

"Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are an award winning landscaping company seasoned in the design and installation of drought tolerant landscapes. It is with regret that we hear of your unsatisfactory experience with us. We truly value each and every one of our clients, and we do all we can to accommodate their needs withing the budget that they allocate. We apologize if your decision to request this form of design was not to your liking; however, we always offer a plant palette which we only proceed with if approved. In addition, we made efforts to inform you of the improper care of your plant material, which we found over-watered and in poor condition immediately after you had notified us of this. As a comprehensive landscape company we offer maintenance service to ensure your perishable investment is properly cared for and nurtured. Unfortunately, you did not elect to hire us as your maintenance service provider. Therefore, we were unable to monitor these poor growing conditions after the project was finalized."

Brandon's gardening service is full-service. Most important, they actually listen to our requests and keep the garden trimmed as we want it. There's is not a and quot;one-size-fits-alland quot; approach. They take care of supervising the irrigation systems, making seasonal adjustments, keep track of major fertilization needs, dead-head flowers once they're past their prime, and thin shrubbery rather than shape and shave it. They are always punctual, friendly, courteous and cooperative. They truly strive to give us what we want. We have frequently recommended them to our friends.

Our HOA had a leaking sprinkler control valve that was flooding an area in front of the building. We found Brandon on Angie's list and he came out and did the repair within 24 hours. He and his staff were all helpful, efficient and very professional. We will definately use him again and will recommend him to our neighbors who might have a similar problem.

Awesome! I'm so pleased with the job. It is beautiful and very functional. The job was started quickly and finished quickly. I couldn't ask for more. Brandon's quote was originally several hundred dollars higher than a competing quote that we got from a company that specializes in doing outdoor grills. However, since we already used Brandon once for removing a set of palms and rebuilding a wall (see my review on that) and since we also use them for weekly gardening service (see my review on that), I wanted to give him our business and asked if he would cut his price. Without hesitation he matched the existing quote. One important difference with the other quote is that Brandon knew from the prior job he did for me that the brick used on our landscaping is no longer available. He instead bought larger bricks that match the look of our existing brick, and then cut them down to the same size as the existing brick. My guess is that very few people would think to do that or be willing to do it. Since we didn't want to redo all of the tile (partly because we like the look of the existing tile and partly because complete re-tiling was going to cost several hundred dollars more), and the new tile from the same company didn't have quite as much variation as the existing tile, he harvested some of the tile from the existing counter and mixed it in with the new tiles. It is not possible to even tell that the tiling job is done with two different lots purchased more than 10 years apart, and this saved us ~$450. or so in tile. I think it is very likely the other company would have charged us extra for that. What I like about Brandon is that I can use the same company to do diverse outdoor jobs. Their pricing is competitive, the quality of their work is very high, and Brandon is both a remarkable guy (ask him how old he was when he started this business) and a pleasure to deal with. Super-competent, knowledgeable, clever, and professional.

This was a pretty complicated job. We had a line of large palms planted in a very narrow bed raised ~2 feet above our pool deck, ~7 feet from the pool. The palm trunks had grown to nearly the width of the bed and were cracking the wall of the bed and pushing back a 6 foot high retaining wall on the back side of the bed along our property line. Adding to the problem is that the bed served as a conduit for electrical and high pressure water lines serving the sprinkler valves, and low voltage lightling lines. Brandon's crew did a terrific job on this. All told it took about a week or so to get the job done. The started promptly and finished pretty quickly. Plus their quote was considerably cheaper than the other quote that we got for the same job. I was very satisfied. This led us to use them for a different job described in another post.

So far they have been pretty good. Not perfect, but better than what I have had in the past.I used to have a "mow, blow, and go" service. Brandon's is a considerable up-grade, because they take a more comprehensive approach. A major advantage is that you can communicate with them. They respond to phone calls and email promptly. They also typically have a foreman in the crew who speaks english, whiich usually wasn't the case with the prior services I've had - it was very difficult to communicate. Brandon's has separate crews for dealing with the weekly gardening and irrigation issues. If there is an irrigation problem they promptly send someone out to evaluate it and repair it. When things are working well, I don't have to pay any attention - everything gets done automatically. My one complaint is that in the first few months there have been a couple of hiccups with timer management and a problem with a blown drip line (which is why I gave them a 'B' overall). Granted, we have a complicated timer with 23 different zones to cover a 28,000 ft2 yard. But on two occasions, a worker set a zone to water manually for 10:00, which on my timer means 10 hours and 0 minutes, not 10 minutes and 0 seconds. In both cases I caught the problem before any serious damage was done, and I've been assured it won't happen again. I also had a drip line become detached at one of the joints and it wasn't noticed until I began to see die-back on rose bushes in that particular zone. However, in their defense this was when it was in the hottest part of summer and it could have happened with pretty much any gardening service. On the positive side, we had a couple of persistent dry zones on our lawn that didn't seem to improve no matter what I tried to do with changing watering times or spray heads. Brandon immedately diagnosed that the sprinkler heads weren't close enough to provide full coverage, and he put in new heads extending the lines from existing heads, and the problem went away. All in all I give them an A because despite the few hiccups Brandon is very knowledgeable and extremely capable, it is easy to communicate with them, and when a problem is raised they address it immediately. Also, they have broader expertise than most "mow, blow, and go" outfits and can provide more comprehensive care. I've been using the service for about 4 months. I'll revisit this review after 1 year.

This guy is amazing. He is reasonable. His workers are punctual. The man who ruins it is very polite and professional. He can do anything. His ideas and designs are very unique. It is almost like something you would see in a magazine. Everyone else wanted 3 times the amount he charged us. He is really stellar.
