I am continuing to use the service because I have not found an adequate replacement. Overall, they are fine. Most of the house looks good, I just cannot stand to have pet hair left behind. This is the main reason I hired a house cleaning service.

I have had THE MAIDS  service for 4-5 years for ONCE A MONTH.   Excellent Service overall.  Because of Pain Disability I needed someone to care for house. Dr. had told me to NOT VACUUM any longer.  PRIOR TO HIRING THE MAIDS, I HAD TRIED OTHER HOUSECLEANING SERVICES:  but I am/was an excellent housekeeper, had done all housecleaning myself prior to pain issues.  So I  knew when other cleaning services  failed to do adequate job or were not doing anything beyond vacuuming for same price The Maids offered.   Especially important to me was vacuuming with excellent HEPA, high suction vacuum to avoid "blow back" of soot & dust into the house.   Most cleaning services DO NOT USE GOOD VACUUM CLEANERS WITH HEPA FILTERS,  NOR DOES THE MAIDS.   SO I REQUESTED  they use my Kenmore Progressive,  I PROVIDE THE BAGS.  (My vacuum & bags provide excellent suction, are light, easy to use, pick up pet hair.) The gals will change the bags when necessary approximately every 3 months. Then after they vacuum with Kenmore Progressive,  I have them follow up  vacuuming the same wall to wall carpet with my Shark Navigator to make sure all soil was removed.  Due to financial constraints,  I only can afford to have them come ONCE A MONTH,  so excellent floor  cleaning of carpets and kitchen & bath  are especially  necessary.  I only have them change Guest room bed/sheets & blankets a couple times a year.  I also have the house picked up for them each time so that they can quickly, easily get to the cleaning when they arrive. They do not have to pick up newspapers or clothes left about. But for an extra price, they probably would do that.  They will absolutely NOT OPEN ANY CLOSET DOOR or DRAWER. (Protects them from liability of allegations of theft.)  Makes sense to me.  Due to my back /leg pain I have difficulty with our huge City garbage totes. I've arranged with The Maids to come on Tuesdays so they can take the City Garbage & Green Totes to curb for next day pick up.   A great relief for me.   I am very pleased with and appreciate the  usual same  team of gals who come to my home each month. They  work effectively, cooperatively, are amenable to occasional slight changes. I appreciate the quality of their work and their cheerful, cooperation. We seem to work well as a team. Kudos. They have saved me much anguish. My house always looks good with their help.  Thank you to THE MAIDS.

for example, the bed changing.  Each time we had to redo the bed ourselves, when we were paying them to do it.  WE would find things that had never been dusted and should have been.  We kept giving them another chance but finaly had to change.  They do wokr that is a "lick and a promise" and do not take pride in their work.  At times one of them was on her cell phone.  They come as a team, and used to work well together, but then we noticed a lack of communication between them.  They would come in like a whirlwind and be done too afst with out being through.  They were always punctual, and at times even early.  We just want our house cleaned and done well.

Initially the cleaning was top noch - once the quality began to slip, I talked with the office and utlimately with the business owner.  The quality of cleaning did not improve.  If you are paying a houskeeper, you should not come home to streaky windows and mirrors.  They would dust around things and not pick them up and dust under them.  They also cleaned my mothers house and one employee was walkign through her house talking on her cell phone!!!!
We stuck with them another six months hoping the quaility would improve, but it didn't.  I would not recommend them to anyone.

They sent a group of people in and cleaned like crazy.
