This company was subcontracted by another company to replace my flooring that was damaged in a flood. Had I known they were a subcontractor, I would've probably dealt with them directly so that I can pay them directly instead of going through the middle man contracting company.
A gentleman that laid down the tile, was very professional and did great work. He initially laid down the tile and then the 2nd day he put in the grout. On about the day after the grout was done I was able to walk on the tile for the first time and inspect more closely. I did find one tile that was slightly elevated above the rest of the tile. I provided the feedback to the contrator, and the gentleman came back again and replaced the tile with a new one -which was set perfectly "flush" with the other tiles, and not protruding like the previous one.
About a week later, I happen to notice that there were spots of grout on my driveway that I had thought looked like just powder and that it would just blow away with the wind or be washed away with the rain. Well it wasn't powder, it was hardened grout- but I didn't know that. So I provided this feedback again to the contractor, and the gentleman came back again, and removed the spots.
Overall, the gentleman was very professional, and didn't gripe or complain that he had to drive all the way back, twice, to do the above. Word of advice, and this goes with checking for any work that a contractor does, look for areas where the contractor did the cutting/mixing/preparing of the product he/she is about to install. I didn't bother looking at those areas, just the tile area where the job was done. I was in a hurry and told him everything was ok (just referring to the tiled floor, not his workspace), and I sent him on his way only to later discover that there was residue of the tile materials on my driveway. But he came back, no questions asked, no fuss, and a GREAT ATTITUDE, and drove about 45 minutes to an hour just to scrape off the grout spots on my driveway. If anything, I would go with this company directly instead of through the contractor, but then again, a lot of contractors don't tell you right off the bat that they have subcontractors until they already send someone out.
I would highly recommend asking for Misael, who did the tile work. His work looked great and he was very professional - on time, courteous, and addressed issues very quickly. The owner, Jeff, is also very professsional and addressed my concerns quickly as well, as he's had like >20 to 30 years experience in the industry.
