READ THIS REVIEW!! DO NOT USE GRACE MOVING COMPANY!!! BE WARNED! My family & I used Grace Moving company two months ago in September, 2023. We moved from one house to another house just about 2.0miles away from each other in the same city. 1) The movers sent did not take all our belongings as hoped, we we had to call the company back to send additional movers (for an added cost) to get the remaining items. The second movers STILL did not take all our belongings as they were supposed to. I sent the company images of the items left behind. (Will attach some supporting pictures) The company did nothing to right this wrong. We ended up having to move the remaining items ourselves. 2) A few days into unpacking, we noticed our Primary Bedroom 75" Television had been damaged along with our King sized Tempur-Pedic bed not covered with the MANDATORY plastic covering ended up getting wet and covered with dirt from the inside of the truck. We ended up having to replace both of these items. We sent images of the above along with completing the 'insurance claim' form they sent us back in October and again... Nothing has happened since then... EXCEPT, them claiming WE owe them more money! Can you believe it?! Over a month after the move and AFTER we filed our claim, they said we owed them. (We didn't owe them... ) 3) Our close of escrow date had changed on the new house, this ended up changing our original quoted move price with Grace because they had to store our belongings in their warehouse in which we signed the new agreement to and paid the additional required deposit. On the final move day, we were charged the balance by the movers and case was closed! When we reached out to the company, they 'appeared' only to try to work things out with us, possibly hoping enough time would pass and we'd forget about the whole thing. I had actually warned them that I would write my full and TRUE experience on all review platforms should they not honor their part of righting their wrong. It has been almost a month since we last heard from them and we would hate for anyone else to go through what we did. They are not honorable, they lie, avoid/ignore any complaints you may have, and overcharge you to damage and not complete their jobs! Use them at your own risk!!

Fantastic. They finished 1.5 hrs earlier than expected. Worked extremely hard. Were very careful. Great crew!

The best movers I've ever had the pleasure to hire! :). John and Henry were amazing - they were very careful with my furniture and worked hard the whole day until the job was done. Very impressive!! Also, they accommodated a very last-minute move. Forget about those other companies that will just frustrate you and break things... Grace Moving is hands-down the best!! :D

It was three guys. I had no complaints, they were on time, they were prompt, they were very nice people. I got one little nick in the floorboard and I don't even know if they did it, because we were moving into a new house. They messed up nothing. I moved the boxes myself. I had them just do the furniture by itself. I used to be a mover. I was shocked. I was afraid that they weren't going to show up. But they showed up. When you are moving the worst neighborhoods, the movers don't show up. I was shocked they showed up early, clean, sober, ready to work.

Grrrrrreat!

dMy immediate and extended family has used Grace Moving Company 4 times in the last year and everyone has been very, very pleased with their service and employees.  These people actually listen, figure a way to get the needed job done, and they do good work!
We had a complicated move this time in that both an apartment and an office needed to be moved to new locations in a new town.  The customer service person with whom I spoke on the the phone was friendly and helpful and explained clearly what they offer and how it was usually done.  I explained what was needed and, after being referred to a manager, who returned my call promptly, was able to arrange it all (order of pick up and drop off and the number of movers) and get a very reasonable estimate for the time and distance, so I scheduled the date right then.
The charge was per hour for a certain number of movers.  There was an additional fee for driving over a set number of miles, but it was very reasonable and the manager rounded it down, which I appreciated.
Just prior to the moving date, they communicated with me to confirm everything and to decide WITH ME the timing of the pickup since the truck would be dealing with Bay Area traffic.
The movers were experienced and worked quickly.  They packed items in boxes with stuffing/wrapping and made sure that what was loaded in the truck was secure and with adequate padding between furniture, etc.  Nothing shifted during the move and nothing was dented or scratched.  The order of loading the truck: apartment first, then old office, and unloading the truck: new office, then house  (last in, first out) was done perfectly.  Everything that needed to be unloaded at the first place was right near the door (and not stuck somewhere underneath something else).  They unloaded everything and put it all in the various correct places as directed.  Plus...the guys were pleasant and friendly, as were the guys we had previously.
I paid and was promptly handed a receipt.
Once again, Grace Moving Company gave us a flawless and pleasant moving.

I could never write a review that would compliment Grace Moving Company enough! They were absolutely amazing from the get go! Edwin and Johnny were our movers and they were SO POLITE and careful with all of the items they moved. They were so efficient we couldn't believe it! Our experience was top notch! Don't even consider hiring anyone else...give yourself time and call ahead and make sure to request Edwin and Johnny....again..I feel that this review doesn't do the company justice..they were FIVE STAR!!! SO HAPPY...

1..  They failed to wrap our expensive furniture.
2.   After they moved our possessions into the house from our garage, we started to notice that many items were missing--about $2000.
3.   They prey on senior citizens.

They put me in touch with the person they use for cleaning and we discussed exactly what I needed. Bathrooms, grout, walls, windows, general dusting,oven. We did not need any carpets cleaned as we were doing that separately. She actually left it dirtier in some places than before she got there. There was a thick white film on kitchen counters and windows, a hallway built in was covered in dust and one of the bathrooms was completely ignored. The oven was cleaned but barely wiped out and cabinets were also covered in white film. I called the company on July 3rd to complain and try to remedy the situation. I was told they would get in touch with her and discuss it with th office manager and they would get back to me. It is now July 9th and I never heard anything. We have since had to hire someone else to reclean.

This was the most exceptional group of movers I've ever had the pleasure to work with.  This was my sixth move, and by far and away, it was the easiest and best.  The four movers took the utmost care to protect the hardwood floors in the house we were moving out of.  They took particular care with numerous breakables. They were pleasant and warm and courteous.  Their friendliness, politeness, and upbeat can-do attitude really made such a dramatic difference in how the day went.  It was so refreshing to be treated with such respect and kindness, as well as helpfulness.  The professionalism of the crew was beyond reproach.  Sally's estimate was very accurate.  All of our things were so well taken care of.  We look forward to using them again when our new home is completed.

A friendly, professional crew moved all our furniture quickly, without any damage.  We were very satisfied.

They were very accommodating and worked until the job was done. Their price was very competitive and they also supplied boxes for the move.

This is the first review of anything I have written online. We were compelled to write to commend Grace Moving Company because although we have used several moving companies for various moves over the years, Grace Moving Company exemplified excellent work and excellent customer service. It is a local company and we wanted to recommend Grace Moving Company to anyone in the Stockton/Modesto area who needs to make a move.
 
We had to move our moving date three times because of circumstances outside our control and Grace could not have been nicer about our doing so.On the day of the move, the movers showed up on time, worked hard with virtually no breaks, and were actually running between the house and truck to move quickly. We moved from Stockton to Kenwood, and hoped to do it in one day to save money. They left our new Kenwood house at 10:30 pm in order to keep the move to one day, and they had to move again in the morning! We watched them move furniture and antiques with great care, positioning furniture through doorways and up steps in ways that showed their experience. They did things much easier than our last national moving company who took over half an over to get a sleeper couch through a doorway that took Grace Moving 5 minutes. Time is money.
The movers, like the owners, could not have been nicer. They repositioned rugs, inquired when it was not clear where to put boxes, and they made the day a lot of fun. We could not recommend them more highly!

Very good to work with. Responsive, competitive and reliable. Great communication from Sally and office. Very little damage considering tight corners, stairway, etc.

Absolutely easy move (from California to Texas). The truck driver arrived right on time, on the day assigned, He and

his movers got right to work.  VERY professional, friendly hardworking gentlemen.  When it turned out we didn't have all the boxes that they thought they did, the driver got on the phone with the owner of Grace, and the owner promply drove the wardrobe boxes over to our house, AND STAYED TO HELP THEM PACK!  Once the driver (Charlie) left with our belongings, he stayed in touch by phone with us to let us know of his progress (he had several stops between California & Texas).  He then delivered our belongs on the day he promised.  We had the boxes well marked with the rooms they went in, and the movers put the boxes in the designated rooms, not just piled up in the garage, as the last movers did (NOT Grace).  NOTHING was broken or damaged!  And like clockwork, David followed up after the move to see if all went well.  WOW we felt very valued by Grace!!!
From beginning to end, this move was an incredibly positive experience because of the level of professionalism of Grace Moving.  I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who wants a trouble free, professional move.
