I bought a dishwasher at the Modesto store on a Friday.  Delivery was arranged for Saturday.  I was very impressed with the professionalism of the woman who sold me the dishwasher. 
The dishwasher was not delivered within the specified window for delivery on Saturday.  The man called an hour after the 4-hour window to say he had been delayed.  We continued to get calls on his progress.  He finally showed up at 10:00p.m. which was too late.  He was very nice and put the dishwasher where I told him too.  He said he had one more delivery to make after mine.  A 10:00 p.m. delivery time is unacceptable and put a damper on an otherwise positive experience. 
Installation was scheduled for 8:00 the following Wednesday.  The installer was right on time.  He did a good job and we have been very happy with the dishwasher.  We were the first appointment of the day.
Do ask for the first appointment of the day.
Don't accept the first delivery appointment they offer.  Ask questions.  Switch to a different day if it means a better delivery time.
