Luggage Repair
I am with the Humane Society of Stanislaus County. We are given, by a local pet store, a beautiful and expensive animal carrier for a small pet with a twin zipper on top (so the dog or cat can look out). We decided to use this carrier as a raffle prize at one of our fund raising events. As I picked it up, I realized one of the two zippers on top was broken. One side of the "lock" was pulled away from the zipper teeth. I could not fix it. Started calling around: alterations (only will do for people clothing), suggested dry cleaners (could not work on this kind of zipper), upholstery repair (because they may have a "free arm machine") and after going to different places, who on the phone said they could probably do it, and could not, after over 5 hours of this, a jewelry repair person suggested Mike at Evergreen. He can fix things like zippers, purses, shoes, etc. Didn't know his address but it was off the corner of Hatch & Crows Landing Rd. "behind Pizza Guys."
