Affordable Home Repair - Unlicensed Contractor

Not like I expected. Almost all the work that he had done, we had to get someone else to redo it correctly and cost me more. I don't recommend him to anyone. I was upset with him the last time I was here. At the last minute, he let me know that he was not coming. He was supposed to be here at 10 and he showed up after 12 and he texted me one time while on my way and texted me again and he goes 20 minutes and I waited for him for 30 minutes and I just need to go because I have an appointment. My wife wanted our TV to be mounted above our fireplace mantle and he did but he mounted and installed the wires incorrectly and I had to do it all over again to correct what he did.

This is probably the best experience I have had with hiring a someone from Angie?s. Frank was absolutely a pleasure to do business with. He was punctual and very courteous. He and his partner kept updated as they performed the work hired for. He was reasonably priced and seemed to enjoy his work. He and his partners knowledge kept me at ease and happy that I hired them I will definitely be using Affordable home repairs again and again!!

I feel unsatisfied, he had to fix the door and he did it incorrectly, he did not care about the safety of my kids and I.

I would hire this guy to do any work around here any time of the day or night. He is an over achiever. I've seen master craftsmen and he is competing with those guys. He is really good. Great customer service. He is courteous and he looks out for your property.

Frank is very efficient and friendly and he does a great job. I have hired him many times and I have always been happy with his work and I even recommended him to my daughter who needed repairs done at her house.

Frank helped me with some repairs to an old barn roof that was damaged by high winds. He did a great job. We were able to reinforce the rafters and the side wall supports and reinstall the roof sheets that had come off. Took a couple days and was at a fair price. Will definitely be calling him again for future repairs. Thanks Frank!

Frank installed a doggy door for my Yorkie. I was impressed by his promptness and professionalism. He was quite knowledgeable, and cleaned up all of the debris afterwards. Unlike the other handyman, Frank was thorough in his communication from the day I booked appointment until the day of arrival. It is hard to find reliable and hard working people these days, but Frank met all of my expectations, and I would hire him again!

Frank was amazing. He came out within 24 hours for the estimate and adjusted his schedule to meet mine to get the work done. He was friendly and professional. The work was amazing and I loved the results. I had quite a few little projects that needed to be completed and he handled them all very well. His rates were completely reasonable. He even made suggestions on items I could complete myself to keep items in the budget. I would absolutely have him back! He is now my go-to for all home projects. Cannot rate him high enough.

I would highly recommend Frank for any job you need taken care of, small or large. He is always on time or calls when he is delayed. His work is terrific and I've been very happy with all the repairs and updating of my condo.

I have a duplex that I purchased in Modesto, that I needed to have a lot of work done and I was nervous about finding a good reliable contract. As I live in the Bay Area and it was not feasible for me to drive back and forth to manage the project. I hired Frank and was not disappointed. With his professionalism, I was very comfortable with leaving my duplex in his hands. He did great work, was reliable, excellent customer service and has reasonable pricing. I would recommend him, and I will definitely be hiring him for more work in the near future.

We had a variety of projects around our house that we needed completed. Frank responded immediately to our request for assistance, did his work promptly, did an excellent job completing every project, and was incredibly pleasant to have around. We will absolutely contact him again with future projects.

Frank replied to my project request within an hour, was able to come by to take a look at the project in the afternoon the same day and provided a bid/estimate by email that evening. My project Involved installing reclaimed wood in a unique pattern that Frank had never done before. The true German engineer that he is Frank figured it out and stayed longer than his original plan to finish the job to perfection. Never once asked for another cent. My only concern about posting another five star review for Frank is that he will become so popular he will be hard to schedule in the future.

I have used Affordable Home Repair quite often over the past five years on projects ranging from construction of storage sheds, wood fence construction and repair of barbed wire fencing, interior painting, drywall and texturing, deck repair and new construction, interior andexterior cleanup, buildout of a garage, construction of a large workbench, repair of electrical problems and plumbing issues, replacement of interior lights and exterior solar lighting, and most recently a bathroom remodeling that involved addition of a tile floor, addition of a shower to an existing bathtub, adding a new countertop with sink/faucets, and painting. What I like about this contractor is that he comes prepared and I don't have to worry about the cost because in 5 years I've never been overcharged (I spent 30 years performing my own home maintenance so I have a very clear notion of how much time a repair or project should require and I am very familiar with the cost of materials). I always receive a clearly presented statement of hours worked and a separate list of supplies including relevant bills. I've never so much as encountered a math error on a bill. My home is filled with valuables from collectibles firearms, coins, stamps, first editions, artwork, tools, and money. I often leave this contractor alone in my home all day. I am often not home when daily work is concluded but I don't have to worry about doors and windows getting properly locked since that is always accomplished in a satisfactory manner and I've never found any personal property missing in spite of leaving valuable items lying about rather carelessly. I believe that Affordable Home Repair is fairly priced, honest, reliable, and above all, he can be approached about any work-related issue. The goal of this contractor seems to be ensuring complete customer satisfaction even if that means spending more time then originally allocated for a task. An added plus: This contractor is always pleasant, friendly, and happy to do whatever is requested of him. I also find him more than capable of coming up with creative ideas to resolve vexing repairs or problems.

Frank came and performed the tasks that we agreed on, he was very professional and his work was excellent, but who he is as a person is what makes what he does so much better, he's a very personable and friendly man and I think in fact I know I will be having him back to do other things and repairs and what not at my house cuz I know they will get done right!!
