Family owned and operated since 1976, Howard's Upholstery does all work in-house and does not farm work out. We pride ourselves on our High Quality Work and Supplies, and Emphasize Customer Satisfaction. Our in-house designer is excellent at assisting customers with any project, and we have a showroom with a large selection of fabric-samples/books available. Sample books may also be checked out and taken home. Recipient of Angie's List - Super Service Award!

Their work was great. They stripped the chair and ottoman down to the frames and completely rebuilt the springs and padding, as well as recovering both. Elaine was great at recommending fabrics (and they have tons of different ones) and guided us to one we love. High quality, practical, made in America and beautiful. The chair is a family heirloom of 60-70 years. Now it is better than ever. And better than anything we saw in furniture stores. It looks and feels great! This was not cheap in any sense. We paid a reasonable price for truly outstanding work. We will have Howard's do our next upholstery job.

The lady (Elaine) who helped me was extremely conscientious and paid attention to all my requirements. Her suggestions for fabric and shape were insightful. We've been using these cushions for several months and have been delighted on how well they fit. For example, the bar stool cushions don't slide which is great since I have kids getting on and off them!

From the beginning, my roommate and I were treated very well. We brought a chair cushion and pictures of the chair. The decorator helped us pick out fabrics (not her fault that we have expensive tastes). We purchased the fabric and because it was mid December, we were told that if we were willing to wait until after the holidays they would pick up the chair and return it during the same week.) The chair was picked up on Monday morning, Jan. 9th and returned on Friday morning, Jan. 13. Their work is impeccable. It is a beautiful, very comfortable piece of furniture. When you look at the picture of the chair you will be able to see how beautifully the pattern lines up, which does contribute to both the cost of the material and the construction, but well worth it. The experience with the company is very positive. I would recommend them to anyone who loves good furniture.

They did a beautiful job, and we are again, very pleased! It is best to make an appointment because Elaine is very experienced in fabric and can help you find what is best. The price included pick up, making arm covers, Scotchguarding afterwards, and delivery. They also repaired 1 dining room chair for $120. Be sure to mention Angie's List and they will give you a discount.
We preferred having the wing chairs redone so we could select exactly the kind/color of fabric we wanted, and it was a wise decision!
The new furniture sold now is not as well built as the older, solid hardwood framed upholstered ones. The price varies by the quality and price of the fabric that is chosen.

"Yes, many times we have recommendations, but some customers prefer a plusher feel from the beginning. Concerning cushions, we recommend that they be a little firmer than the customer may like; as they get used, they "break in" and get softer. The work was excellent. He finished it on schedule. They were courteous and helpful in picking out the fabric and with recommendations and guiding us. When they started out to do the reupholstery they weren't satisfied with the way it was turning out. So they called us and had us come down and pick a different kind of fabric.

Elaine was professional and wonderful to work with. She kept her promise to have my items done on a specific date. Howard's prices were comparable, even a little cheaper than other upholstery companies I have used in the past. Their quality of workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend them.

A bit more than I wanted to spend on them but in the end they look better than any thing I could have purchased for the price and we really appreciated that they are more concerned with quality than price when it come to the material that they use.

They were easy to deal with and responsive to requests and concerns. It took a bit longer than expected to order the material and from pick-up to delivery. But I am very pleased with the outcome. It's quality work.
