Five Star Cleaners

Based on reviews, I stopped at Five Star Cleaners to see if they could take in the waists of two pair of men's khaki pants for me. I mentioned that the slacks had jeans-style seams. They said they could do the work. I went to the car and got the slacks. Unfortunately, as soon as I showed the clerk that I had a coupon for a discount, she suddenly decided they could not take in the slacks due to the type of seam (flat-felled). I understand that flat-felled seams - doubled over, trimmed, and stitched - have no extra fabric and can't be let out. But, they can be taken in - although with more effort than a plain seam. I took the slacks to another alterations business where there was no problem doing the work. I won't go back to Five Star Cleaners.

They have always been my standard dry cleaners as I have used them for eight years. I would grade them highly and give them five stars rating across the board. I use them once a week. I spend $40 to $50 every visit. They are good people and they provide very friendly service. They give discounts because I have been with them for so long. They are always on time and do good work. The service as well as the staff is very personal and very nice. I know the people on their first name basis and so, I feel comfortable going back there. I have never had any complaints and they have never done anything wrong in eight years. I will use them again in the future for sure.
