Brett changed out several parts of our falling down fence including rebuilding our main side gate into something much more functional (single gate door to a double gate door). Brett was super responsive, came out two days later and got it all done in a single day. I was amazed he was able to accomplish all he did in one day.


**Updated review as fence gate began to bow. Was told that "wood is not straight and that I would need to drill a metal stop into the cement to fix it". I've never lived in a home where the fence wasn't aligned top to bottom and, if I were dealing with a customer, I wouldn't tell them that it was because that is the way wood is. If there is additional work that needs to be done after a job is complete, to me, the job is incomplete.

Brett arrived right on time.  He came with all the materials and build the gate in an hour and half. Two days previous I had sent him photos of the old worn out gate and he knew exactly what I needed.  I chose a style from his online photos.  He saved me additional money by reusing the spring from the old gate.  Brett also told me how to prime and paint the redwood gate to match the wall and house.

Brett came out the day I called him and gave me an estimate.  He told me it would take two days for the job.  We agreed that he would do the job.  He showed up on the designated day one and worked very proficiently and fast.  He showed up on day two and finished the job.  Brett is someone who does what he says he will do when he says he will do it.  He gets the highest recommendation I can give anyone who has done work for me.

I called Brett on Friday morning, he came out a couple hours later to give an estimate and completed the job on the following Monday.  Great job, very nice guy. I recommend using his company and will certainly call him again for fence work. 

We are so grateful to have found this company to reinforce our aging, sagging redwood fence.  The owner, Brett Howe, is congenial, professional, blazingly efficient, accommodating in terms of scheduling, etc.  He returned every call we made to him promptly and answered all my and my wife's questions.  He installed only as many posts as were needed to straighten the fence. In our case that was 3 posts installed strategically along an approximately 70 foot line of fencing.  He charged us $115 per post.  
We're thrilled, as are our neighbors who share that fence with us. That neighbor had him look at a much more severely sagging fence on their property and he gave them several suggestions for trying to save the old fence but he also gave them a quote to replace the fence entirely if that was found to be necessary.
Brett will be reinforcing the fence on the other side of our yard that we share with another neighbor within the next couple of weeks. That neighbor was hesitant about the process and needed to see the finished product before she would allow it to be done on the fence we share.

Was very please with every aspect of this job. Appreciated that Brett was not only on site the entire time but did the work not farmed it out to someone else. He came out twice to discuss the project before he was even hired.

Built a new gate and repaired a huge fence in less than an hour. Was prompt and efficient.

Brett was great. He was the only fencing contractor I called that said our fence was worth savings. He gave us a fair quote to replace the posts and came out twice for estimates at my request. When the time comes to replace the fence, I will definitely keep in mind. He was fair, honest and did exactly what he said, when he said he would.

Brett was great. First of all, he was one of very few who even called back when I requested estimates. His price was fair, he showed up when he said he would, and cranked the job out quickly but solidly.
IMPORTANT: Angie's List shows Fence Aid accepts credit cards. They DON'T, and never have. I probably should have clarified this with Brett but it's right there on the page, so I didn't even think of it.

I called and spoke with Brett, the owner, to set up an appointment for an estimate.
He was on time and provided a very reasonable estimate for the job.
Brett indicated that even though he was in the middle of a large job he would work me in.
He set an approximate day and time which met my needs and work schedule and indicated that if some time opened up sooner he would call. As it turned out, he did have a time open up on a day I had off from work.
He showed up at the time he said he would and built a great gate for me.
Even though it was a straight forward job for him, it had become a major headache for us, since the gate was barely hanging on the hinges. I was really impressed with his work and professionalism.

Side Note:
I had all ready priced out material from a local Home Depot and figured it would take me the better part of a day to do myself, if I was lucky. I knew how my work would turn out and knew the better way to go would be to hire a professional. It was worth it.
Also, I had tried to get two other estimates. One person never showed up and the other gave me a high price over the phone and said it would be 4-5 weeks before he could do the work.

Provider was a pleasure to work with. Provided an estimate over the phone based on my description of the project. Was able to replace the gate within a couple of days of my initial phone call. Efficiently performed the the work. In my opinion, provider's workmanship in replacing the gate was very good.

Brett returned my calls promptly every time I called. Once we settled on the job, he showed up on time and finished the job on time with no surprises. I was amazed how fast they were able to get it done.
The fence looks great and the materials used look top notch.
They hauled off the old fence debris and left the yard in pretty good shape. There were some sawdust piles in the yard, but it was not a big deal. There was one broken sprinkler head along the fence. Again, not a big deal and it may have been broken by my gardener, who cleared the area along the fence before the work was done.
Overall I am very pleased with the job and would recommend Fence Aid.

He offer a solution how to fix it that nobody else offer and it was a lot cheaper.

Brett did a great job . He kept in touch with me and updated me whenever there were changes or questions . Cost was better than other quotes i had gotten . Why can't other contractors learn these important little differences ! My neighbor already booked him for their old gate replacement .

Owner Brett installed a four foot high forty-seven foot long wooden fence in my back yard. In two hours I had a really nice looking fence. His cost was nearly $400 less than a previous estimate. He is very personable and efficient, arrived as scheduled and even braced two existing gates, not part of the job. I would not hesitate to use his service again or recommend him.

The fencing was great. They showed up when they said that they would be here. Their quote was competitive and they did a tremendous job. I got three different quotes and they were in the middle and they actually offered much more than the one that was priced higher.

Pretty well. He was skeptical about the fence I waned to use and gave me a lot of guff about it, but he did the work well and the end result is I get a lot of compliments.

We are very satisfied with the work. It was completed more quickly than we expected and the results are very much to our liking. Brett is very easy to work with. He is cheerful and very fast. Because he works so quickly, some things are sometimes overlooked. But when called to his attention, he cheerfully makes the corrections. An example is that after he left, we noticed two brackets left from the previous fence that left a gap in our brick patio which would be very difficult to remove and when removed, would leave a gap in our brick patio.. Before we could call to complain, Brett called us to say that he was on his way over to help remove them and cover them with cement. His explanation was that he was so tired when he finished, that he overlooked these details and only remembered them the next day.
We would recommend Fence Aid without reservation.
