Custom Concrete Cutting

Outstanding service and job performance.  Jim McGregor, the owner/operator, was hired as a subcontractor for Perkins Custom Coatings, the company that is performing a refinishing and coating of my 50 year old garage flooring.
Jim showed up on time, very courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done perfectly, and my expectations (which tend to be pretty high) were not only met, but exceeded.  He made sure that there was no mess, covered the walls, and was quite pleasant. 
I would not hesitate to hire him in the future, and my first contact after the job was done was with Perkins Custom Coatings to let them know how pleased I was with the referral. 

This is a father/son business and both times they were timely, fast and clean. They came, bid the job and were able to get it done that week. First we had them cut trenches for the drain and electric and that went very well, so we called them back once we finally decided to removed a city tree well protruding into our yard. This took almost a day, but Jim was very knowledgeable in knowing what tools to use and to make it as painless as possible. We are very happy with the result and how fast Jim was. We would definitely hire them again or recommend them to any neighbors.

Called on Thursday and left message.  Gren (the owner ) returned call within a couple of hours.  Discussed the simple job that I wanted done.  Gren quickly stated that they could do that and said it would fall under their minimum costs.  I was OK with that and tentatively set up for the next Monday afternoon to complete job - made it clear I was flexible on date - all I wanted was for it to be completed that coming week.  On Monday morning, Gren called and asked if we could reschedule as they had a big job that was going to take all day.  We agreed to Friday morning.  Gren called again Friday morning and said if it was OK if they came later in the day - I said that was fine but re-emphasized that I wanted done today - Gren clearly understood that.  Jim, Gren's son, showed up around 3:30 - quickly assessed the job, got the appropriate equipment out and went to work.  He completed the single concrete saw cut of the slab and then broke up the pieces into chunks that could be easily lifted.  Jim knew exactly what he was doing and was a very nice guy.  He also vacuumed up the slurry.  Entire job was completed in less than one hour.  Would highly recommend them for small jobs.

Called at 3:30 pm Thursday and they were able to come at 9 am the following day. We are in the middle of landscaping our yard and needed to resolve this drain issue quickly before planting. The landscaper wanted to charge much more so I called this father/son team and they were very responsive. We had them cut and remove the concrete, but not haul, and the price was discussed beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect. In two hours the job was done. They were efficient and respectful of our neighbors. They had water and a generator on the truck so they didn't even use our electricity or hose. We are thinking about having them core a hole in our driveway to allow the water to drain, we would recommend them in a heartbeat.

They did a good job cutting the drain hole, and went above and beyond by installing the PVC lining for only minimal extra cost. Friendly and professional. Thank you!

I had originally called another firm for an estimate. I got the answering machine there, so I called Custom Concrete and they gave me a good price and said they could be there in two hours. I was pleasantly surprised they could be there so quickly and decided to go for it. They showed up as promised, walked through my requirements with me, and got to work. Two professional guys, very easy to communicate with. They did the core drilling as required, very clean cuts, very straight. Best of all, they continuously vacuumed the excess water from their drilling work, preventing any of the concrete dust and water mixture from entering the storm drain. Very clean. These guys were pros, I would hire them again and I would recommend them to friends.
