The initial date they came out was 5/17/2013. The technician repaired the hot water valve as he was supposed to do. However, he insisted there was a drip coming from the cold water valve as well but told me he needed to order a part. I never heard from them or my home warranty company and since there was no drip coming from the master shower I just let it go. 6 weeks later, end of June, 2013, I receive a phone call from my home warranty company stating that A Plus Plumbing had the part in and would be calling me to schedule an appt. I asked my home warranty what the part was for and let them know there was no leak or water dripping from the shower anymore. Nevertheless, they said A Plus Plumbing told them they needed to replace the part so they had to go by what the technician said. On July 1,2013 the technician came to repair the cold water valve. Upon taking apart the cold water valve, he informed me that the part did not fit so he would have to come back. I asked when he would be back and he told me the next day or 2 days at the most. He said it was a part he could purchase at Home Depot. After he left, I noticed that now I had a major leak coming from my shower. The water was continuously dripping, almost running. I called A Plus Plumbing in the morning to complain about it and have them schedule the technician to come back out ASAP. The lady (Gina) on the phone dismissed it saying not to worry, Larry was one of their best technicians and he would take care of it. On July 3rd, the technician came out again and I greeted him at the door telling him he had caused a leak now and was glad he was there to fix it. Within 5 minutes of working on the cold water valve, he told me once again the part did not fit, he was having a hard time taking something apart and he would have to go to his car and call his boss to see what the next step would be and would come right back to tell me what they were going to do next. I waited a few minutes and looked through the window to see the technician DRIVING OFF... like a thief would do. I went upstairs to the master shower and noticed that the drip was still there.. actually water running. I called the home warranty to complain about the technician driving off. The called A Plus Plumbing and Ralph told them that they needed access to the back of the master shower as it was impossible to repair the drip as the the fixtures, stems were so corroded. They did not call to apologize to me or anything for driving off without saying anything. (Remember, I started out with no drip on the cold water valve and didn't have a leak until the technician came out on July 1st . The Home Warranty company sent out another company to repair the master shower and see what the problem was. As it turned out, the technician from A Plus Plumbing used a very small washer... didn't fit the ones our shower needed and used a smaller screw to put it together. Since both the washer and screw were not the proper small... way too small, it caused the shower to drip through the faucet but NOT ONLY THAT it caused the water to leak behind the walls which ultimately caused damage to the family room ceiling. The 2nd plumbing company encountered absolutely no struggle to repair the drip and said didn't know why A Plus Plumbing was claiming that they needed to open up the wall from behind the shower in order to fix it (as Ralph called in to the home warranty company). The problem was fixed within 15 minutes. I have secondary damages to my house to the tune of $1,660 just to start (have not opened up the walls yet) now since they were too lazy to use the correct size washer and screw. Had the Home warranty company not send out for a second opinion ~ A Plus plumbing would have open up my walls through the closet (that is what Ralph said they had to do) in order to make the repair they manufactured. Thank goodness I have proof in a full report from leak detection company hired by AAA, done a week before calling Fidelity Home warranty to repair the hot water valve and A Plus Plumbing coming in. I had no drips/leaks in the cold water valve. NOT ONLY DO they admit to the the mistake to my Home Warranty, Ralph does not want to use his insurance company to repair the water damage in the ceiling, buckle in a wall and a crack that the water made in the ceiling. He told the Home warranty he doesn't want to pay the deductible so he wants to assess the damage by coming and then he will hire out to make the necessary repairs. ARe you kidding me? Why would I let a company who didn't want to pay the extra .20 cents to purchase a washer that fits and instead put a tiny little washer that allowed the water to go leak behind the walls. And he thinks I should trust his judgement. The company has made not attempt to send out their insurance company. We are not having to file a claim through our insurance company and AAA will in turn retrieve the $$ they spend for the repairs and our deductible by contacting their insurance company directly. They informed us they just found out their insurance company. Crazy!! NOT PROFESSIONAL, DO NOT HAVE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY OR REMORSE FOR THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE CREATED. Home warranty company said all he wanted to do was repair the stain by touching up the drywall and paint. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
