MOLD AND WATER DAMAGE SPECIALIST

A prior company had tried once and failed to get rid of the stink, so I was highly suspicious at first and explained exactly what I wanted many different ways, to be sure MWDS knew the stink was the big problem for me. The technician suggested a different method of cleaning than I expected -- he stated that vacuuming out wet lint would not work, and neither would using a Cobra brush. Instead, after examining the duct path and observing that it was routed out through the concrete foundation laterally about 12 feet, and that it appeared to have a low spot where standing water collected, he recommended flushing the duct out with high-pressure water from the inside to the outside, following up with several gallons of cleaning solution and disinfectant, then running a high-volume fan directed out through the dryer duct for two days to dry all the water. The flushing forced out huge gobs of wet, stinking dryer lint that the previous guy never got out. By the time MWDS set up the fan, the stink was gone. Drying out the water is still in progress at this writing, but it's well under way (as I can see myself from looking into the exit of the dryer duct). I'm very pleased, even though the process cost me more than I originally planned.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS NOT GREAT. THE MOLD, AND WATER DAMAGE SPECIALIST EMPLOYEES WERE NOT NEAT, AND CLEAN, PROFESSIONALISM WAS ALSO MISSING. I SORT OF FELT LIKE I WAS BEING SOLD ON SERVICES THAT I MAY, OR MAY NOT HAVE NEEDED. HONESTLY, I COULDN'T WAIT TO BE DONE WITH THEM. I ACTUALLY HIRED A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO ERADICATE THE MOLD RATHER THAN LET THE PEOPLE THAT FOUND IT GET RID OF IT. I FELT LIKE I NEEDED A CHECK, AND BALANCE SYSTEM.
