Hamer Toyota & Scion

They have been really good. Hamer has been great. They have been very good. They have done warranty repairs. That is basically why I reverted back to the dealer, due to recalls and what not. I have stayed with them for the last 2 years.

They do take care of business, and they get it right. If, whatever, there is any kind of mistake or error or whatever in-completion; they fix it right away. I haven't had that kind of a problem. They are right on. They fix everything the first time the right way. They are extremely professional and they are very sensitive to customer relations, I think. I have a really strong, positive feeling about their relationship to the community as well.

I've been with them for 2 or 2 and a half years. They are terrific. They are doing a great job. I have multiple vehicles that are serviced by them. I had one old one that was serviced by them and now I have 2 newer ones. I appreciate their professionalism. I know that the service when it is necessary will be more costly than a neighborhood mechanic but I have experience that tells me that I want people who are trained on my vehicle and have access the right parts to fix it and make sure that I am totally assured that it will be done correctly because they know what they are doing. I like being with the dealers. The dealers are not all alike. It's a matter of the attitude of the people and they way they present themselves. Boy are there differences between dealers. I think Hamer has impressed me at a very high level.

We had a 1993 Toyota. It got hit by a motorcycle and I had it get fixed by somebody in Alhambra and it was ... they fixed it for like $2000 I forget the name of the place, and the person that fixed it, he's not there any more but he fixed it brand new.and everything. I was surprised. The car was totaled at the time. It got hit by a motorcycle at 250,000 miles, and it lasted another 380,000 miles. The mechanic said that it was burning oil but it wasn't burning ... it was something in the engine and then something with the transmission. It was cracked maybe because of the accident there and he didn't want to flush the ... I was bringing it to another guy, private company in Canoga so I basically got rid of the car and got new one. Matter of fact, they gave me $3500 for I think it was called vroom vehicle replacement and repair. Everything worked on the car, the air conditioning, the windows, everything. I drove it in there and all but they gave me $3500 for it. They said they were going to destroy it but I was thinking maybe somebody could ... They had this program if you bring; if you tow or push a vehicle in you'll get $3500. What it is is they're trying to get old vehicles off the road. This vehicle that I brought in was still working, and it was good and if somebody was mechanically inclined they probably could've fixed it up. We have a person down there that we bought cars from in the past. Matter of fact my son bought a Scion down there. They don't make them any more. Now they're called Toyota, is it 86 I think they were called as far as the small car. They're pretty ... they're professional. We'll probably buy a new car from them in the future, but we've got our cars paid off promptly. We're getting other stuff to cover and patio pavers and all in the future. We'll probably keep our cars working another maybe twelve years or so. The salesman was pretty good. The paperwork was done within the time they told us, about an hour or so. We had to fill out a few things.

They're reasonable for price. They gave me a discount. They're very good. They tell me when the car is done. If not, they give me a loaner.

I used my dealership once and would never go back to them again. They really messed up on one thing, the axle, the balance part. Apparently that was broken and when I talked to them about what it would be, they said they'd have to take it and have it B-machined and then brought back and that depends on whatever it was. I called another dealer and he said he didn't understand why they'd do that since it comes with a package and you just put in a new one. I called some other mechanic and he said that what they did didn't make any sense. The price was almost twice as much as someone finally did and I don't even remember who he was because I only used him once. They were going to charge me for something that didn't make sense to do.

Overall all the years I've been going there, I'd have to give them an A.

That is where I bought our cars that's why I recommend them. I like their honesty, sincerity, integrity, and they're caring. I bought 5 cars from them. I used them for over 20 years. I'm not about to stop.

I have a 2 yr free oil service with them with the purchase of my SUV which is why I go to them. Their prices seem to be a bit high but the service they provide is great. They offer to drive you to your home while you wait for your car to be ready or if you choose to wait they have a really nice waiting area. They continuously offer water or coffee while you wait. I had to go with my two kids and one of them is just a year old and they kept asking me if we needed anything and offered drinks for the kids too.
I need to change the filters for my SUV but they did have a high fee for it so I didn't accept that service. I just like that if you need a ride back to your home they offer it if the wait is too long. They also wash your car!

They got it back to me on time.

They have very good service and are excellent.

They seemed to be really honest compared to other Toyota dealership I have been to. I have one incident which I recall, my car was dead and the first Toyota dealership I called told me to tow it to their service, they also recommended a towing company they would not help me on the phone but just ask me to bring it over but when I called Hamer they helped me over the phone which in turn saved me a lot of money. Their prices are competitive to other places and their service is wonderful.

I had the parts the following day without any trouble, and they fit and worked great. And to top it all off, the parts guy was friendly.

At my last oil change, the tech showed me very brown transmission fluid. I took the car to Hamer Toyota because they were local and had good service hours. They replaced the tranny fluid for $70. This was a simple drain and refill; the Sienna has a metal mesh transmission filter that generally doesn't need replacement. I also needed wiper blades and they installed them without charging for labor.

Hamer Toyota is a wonderful company because I can make an appointment and they will be ready for me at that time. They are very punctual and professional and they always do the proper work. They always call me before they do any additional work as well. The price is probably average for the industry and I have been satisfied with the quality of work.
