I contracted through Lowe's of Burbank, Ca. to have 2 toilets installed, supposedly within 2 days. I was assigned Faucetman Plumbing. When I scheduled a date for installation , they couldn't come out for a week, and since we were on vacation then, we scheduled them for the day after our return. I had asked for an estimate on other jobs to be made at the time of the installation, and was told someone who could make the estimate would be sent. On the day of the job two young men showed up but couldn't turn off the water in our older home. That has never been a problem before or since. They were using pliers and a household wrench and decided they couldn't take the risk of breaking something, called their office and left. I also asked about the estimate and they said they didn't do that. When I tried to reschedule I was told no one could come out for another week. I called another plumber, who used a proper tool to turn off the water, and installed the toilets the next day.

Faucetman replaced a garbage disposal for me. Two people came. They were very polite and worked well together. They explained how to use the special tool, the reset button, how often it needs to be used, what to put in it and not, etc. I can now use the sink with the disposal connected to it as well as the dishwasher without fear of the sinks backing up. I appreciated them and the service. Thank you, Faucetman...!

Our experience with this company comes in at a solid D grade. This company came to our house twice to fix these problems. The first visit addressed the sink drainage and toilet, they were able to clear the sink drains but were not able to fix the toilet for some reason, even after replacing parts in the tank to stop the water from constantly running. We did not ask them to come back to fix this, as we figured it would be a waste of time and money. I am a married female, and my husband was at work while they were at our house and quot;fixingand quot; this problem - they attempted to explain the problem to me, but I have a feeling they did not perform their job to the best of their ability due to my husband not being at home to observe their work. The toilet was still running and the young man in charge of the two-person crew basically told me they had and quot;done everything they couldand quot; by replacing one part (the ballcock assembly) in our tank. My husband came home from work that evening and was NOT happy. We are still unable to use our toilet due to its constant running. They were able to successfully clear the corrosion from our sink drainage pipes, those drain fine now. They also snaked the toilet as far as they could go, and it does flush slightly better now.
The second time they came to our house was to fix a leaking pipe in the wall behind our bathroom vanity, they had to knock 2 holes through the wall in the back of my bedroom closet to access the sink pipes. They replaced the leaking joint and it is now fixed, however they did not patch up the holes in my wall and did not clean up after themselves very well. The holes are very rough and were literally made with a hammer. I don't expect plumbers to do perfect wall repair, but at the same time they didn't explain that they would not be patching the holes before they started hammering into my wall.
Overall they were very unprofessional in appearance, lacking even a company/uniform shirt. Personal hygiene was questionable (they basically smelled bad and looked very dirty), and they were slightly intimidating as I was home by myself without my husband around - somewhat bullying regarding their shoddy workmanship and the repairs needed. Definitely will not be calling again, we used this company as they were assigned to us by our home warranty company - the workers seemed to treat our job as if it didn't matter, just because it was issued via our home warranty. and quot;Cheapand quot; labor, so you get what you pay for. Questionable fixes, bad diagnostics, and in the case of our toilet - no fix! I really can't believe how unprofessional in appearance these workers were, almost as if Faucetman picked them up off the street for day labor. Dear Faucetman, please at least give your workers some company shirts... they were all wearing dirty tees of questionable nature.

I was very pleased that Doug, the owner, drove out to my home to provide me with a free estimate and to explain the process of removing a large cast Iron Kohler tub that was upstairs. On 05/02/2012, the upstairs work area, and down stairs were covered, as well an my new windows. Prior to starting job, Doug asked me if there were any other parts of master bathroom and bedroom that I felt needed additional protecting from dust etc. It was a labor intensive job and worth every penny. The tile, studs, insulation, and the cement flooring had to be carried downstairs in containers. The tub was broken in parts in order to remove it. Doug remain in my home and oversaw the job, his crew Randy and Juan are two very hard working men. The clean up was excellant. I will be calling Doug to install my new slipper tub. Doug also took time out to provide me with his expertise on two outside jobs. I am very happy with the job, having Doug and his crew in my home was a pleasure.

They were recommended by Lowes to install the water heater, and they did a good job with the installation. I was not aware that as a town house owner, I had to get the city plumbing inspector to come out and inspect the water heater. My permit was about to expire, and the city plumbing inspector came out and inspected the water heater, and he told me that the vent at the top needed to be replaced and that it was the responsibility of the plumbing company which installed it. I called Faucetman Plumbing and they reneged and they tried to get out of it saying that it was not their responsibility. Then they had Lowes call me and tell me that they never do that. I went on Angie's List to look for another plumber to do the job, and I came across Faucetman there, and I saw that they were neither bonded, nor insured. This is strange to me because Lowes recommends these people. When I bought the water heater, I was not part of Angie's List, but subsequently, about a year afterwards, I joined. About two weeks ago, I was going through the list, and I came across them, I looked them up, and according to Angie's List, they are neither bonded nor insured. Now they are trying to maneuver themselves out of the responsibility of replacing the vent. They really were adamant that they were not responsible for replacing the vent, and they said that if I wanted them to do it, they would come out and do it for $180. I spoke to the city plumbing inspector again and he said that $180 was way too steep, they were responsible and it should not cost me anything. The city inspector said he would help me out on this issue, and the whole thing is pending. He is going to fight for me and get them to do it, and if he is unsuccessful, then he is going to tell me what to do.

When my handyman checked out my water heater, he said it needed a new thermostat but that he wasn't capable of installing it. He suggested I call the company and have them recommend a plumber in the area to do the work. The company suggested Faucetman to do the installation. The office person I spoke to at Faucetman was very polite, but I did have to call the water heater company myself and order the thermostat, which I found a little inconvenient and bothersome since I had already called the company twice that day. The plumber they sent was very knowledgeable and helpful and showed me how to start the water heater if the pilot light went out again. He also showed me a trick in dealing with the thermostat if the pilot light was not lighting. I found this company very pleasant to do business with and I would definitely hire them again. They don't work Saturdays, which forced me to go over the weekend without hot water, but I'm glad that I found an honest and reputable company to do the work. They seemed a little expensive, but I suspect their prices are the going rate these days, so they're probably on a par with other companies.
