First impressions were very good, one with a new general practitioner and two with specialists. Kaiser has a great website that is very user friendly and allows me to book, cancel or reschedule appointments at short notice without any penalty. I can communicate with my GP or any other department via email and that is so convenient for me and surprisingly they respond as soon as someone is available, and I mean that is within an hour or less. Their office visit to pharmacy pick up for prescriptions is usually on site - perfect, no running around the city. The referral to a specialist is handled by your GP and you can still choose how it fits your schedule. I am very impressed with Kaiser in my short time with them, I can only see it getting better with regular visits (they seem to stay ahead of the curve with patient conveniences).

Even my husband goes to her. I would rate her highly.

It seemed as though the doctor didn't listen to what I had to say.I had written down my symptoms and medications I was taking. I also told her verbally what my symptoms were and what I had done for them. In spite of all that, her questions to me told me that she hadn't read the list nor listened to me. Instead of trying to get to the root cause of my problem, she wanted to prescribe pills to mask my symptoms. It's been my experience that the Kaiser doctors would rather prescribe pills to alleviate the symptoms instead of exploring what the cause of the problem might be.

The doctor was very personable, but I would request someone else to do the procedure if I had to do it again. I don't think he took into account how painful it really was. He just dove forward and kept saying it was fine, but it was not fine.

She came through both procedures with flying colors (and with much better eyesight than her daughter! LOL!). They were spaced out in six month intervals to ensure adequate recovery for each eye. She sees him annually and it's always a pleasure. His "eye exam chairside manner' goes beyond that of being just a doctor-patient situation. Dr. Karley truly CARES and never tries to rush through the process. This is especially important with patients who are seniors, given that we live in a society that pretty much deems them a disposable commodity. Dr. Karlen is an exceptional eye physician!!!

They've made the effort in these recent years to be quite friendly and helpful. The check-in experience is fairly smooth and nice. Their nurses are courteous and generally pleasant. The doctors are accessible through email. They are good at referring you to specialists.

My experience with Kaiser has been very good. At Kaiser I am been cared for 24 hours a day. The staff is consistently good. What’s great about Kaiser is that I don’t have to go to the office often, I can keep in touch with my doctor through email and he even treats me sometimes by the email string.

She's very innovative, creative, and willing to listen. If you've read about some new information, she'll research it to see if it's worthwhile to try. She's very kind, knowledgeable, and up on the times.

He was able to get my eyesight fixed better than new. I was terrified of the surgery that was about to be performed. Losing my eyesight is the scariest thing in the world because I love to drive and I'm an English teacher. He made the surgery less frightening. He explained things and had music on in the surgery area. He let me pick the music. He let me know what was going on the whole time. Having somebody chop up your eyes is quite scary, but I can't think of any way that he could have made it better than it was. A year later, my vision started going gray and I was afraid I was losing it. I called him and he saw me in the middle of the night; he figured out the problem and took care of it that night. I walked out of there with better vision than I've had in 30 years. I have sent many people to see him.

He is very professional and is up to date on everything. His bedside manner is great. He is just a nice guy in general and a good doctor.
