Bill from All Heating and air came out to repair my heater, because it wouldn't turn on. I have a newborn at home, and he provided no warning for the loud noises he made with the furnace panels, or his vacuum. He also lit spider webs on fire, leaving a terrible smell in my house, before turning on the system and smoking up my whole house, to the point that my smoke alarms are going off, without any warning. We had to open all of our windows, and take my baby outside to keep her safe from the smoke. When he left, he provided no information on how to operate my ancient heater in the house I just moved into, and told us to figure it out ourselves. Later in the day, we realized that we couldn't turn off the heater. I spoke with Bill on the phone, and he said it was just the pilot light, even though I insisted that it was producing a lot of heat, and a large flame under the furnace. He just told me that it was the pilot light, and it would cool down. I later managed to turn it off.

It was good. The pricing was the best part. Service was quick. They got the job done in one day. The customer service was not that great. The device was defective on what he installed so it took me a month and a half to convince them that the device was not working as expected. Later on it was realized that it was defective. It took me a lot of calling and convincing. He was diagnosing everything except for that one particular problem. He followed very good standards because I did go thru the permits but it's just that followup calls were very difficult with him. He was on time.

Initial meeting impressed me as they didn't try to over sell. Very detailed explaination of what was needed for the size of my home is truly what sold me . All went very well and ahead of originally scheduled date and time. A couple of small pieces of sheet metal left behind after install and final clean up.

Victor was great. We discussed what he would do, and why his estimate varied from another estimate I had received. He disagreed with a previous estimate that said I needed additional duct work to provide more cooling to my living room. He suggested I wait until all was installed and then after a week to reevaluate if I thought I needed more; the living room received more than enough cool air and needed no additional ducting. Some of the bedrooms weren't receiving enough air so he proposed some changes to my current ducting at a very reasonable price. Victor also provided several options for the A/C unit and furnace/blower unit so I could make the best decision within my budget and needs of my family.

I'm very satisfied with all the work done, the estimate, and Victor's knowledge of what would be best for my home.

On one of the first really hot weekends of the summer the blower in my HVAC system decides to cough up the ghost.
After a quick Google and Angie's list search I decided to put in morning call to All Heating and A/C. I  reached Victor directly and he was at my place within a couple of hours (and well within the window that he ad quoted). After verifying that blower had indeed died Victor made an appointment to return Monday with a replacement. Understandable...you can't expect every HVAC place to carry every part for every unit. I had resigned myself to gutting out a hot weekend and was drawing up plans to go buy a couple of industrial strength fans to keep my place cool
It was a very pleasant surprise to hear back from Victor a couple of hours later saying that he had managed to find a part. He returned promptly, swapped in a new motor, replaced a bad cap and in less than 30 minutes had me back in the throes of A/C goodness. I'm very appreciative of the effort that Victor gave to calling around to find a fan and returning to replace it when, given the heat index outside, he could have readily waited until Monday.
On behalf of my family, thanks again to Victor for the great work today. He saved us from a potentially miserable weekend.

The issue I had was with water flow from my kitchen sink faucet.  When turned on there was very little and weak water flow but the sprayer worked fine. On the first trip out ( 99.00 diagnostic charge) they were prompt, clean, courteous and they told me the problem was the faucet itself ( a diverter inside).  Since they don't make this faucet anymore a new one would have to be purchased.  I told them I would buy one and reschedule to have them install it.  I asked if another 99.00 charge would be applied to that trip and the answer was no.  It would just be considered a continuation of this appointment.  The faucet was installed and works beautifully.  I would definitely use them again.  If you've ever used a bad plumber you'd understand the value of a good one even if it costs a little more.  Their office help is also wonderful.  They return calls promptly and are very nice.

I have Kenmore top freeze refrigrator. It had stopped working except the light inside. I did some research on the internet and replaced the start relay myself. I plugged it for very short time and I thought it didn't work. Then I called Comtec to give me an estimate. They scheduled same day service and he came on time. He plugged in and after a while refrigerator started working. I mentioned to him that I had replaced the start relay, but I probably didn't wait long enough. At this point I was ready to pay the service fee, but to my amazement he wrote a report that states that there are two malfunctioning units that needs replacement and the total repair cost would be $237. Refrigerator looked like it is working fine and he didn't bother explaining to me how he reached this conclusion. I will never call this company again.

We called Monday evening to give them the model # and Tuesday morning the ice maker was replaced and works like new! They were out of stock at their warehouse, but went to their supplier in San Jose early Tuesday morning and still showed up on time.It was very pleaseant experience!

It went nearly without a flaw. On Thursday I placed a call into Comtec. Alberto came over that afternoon, precisely as promised. He looked at the dishwasher and immediately diagnosed it as non-functional motor. He also apologized for the price of the replacement part. He then explained that he might be able to repair it that day or early tomorrow morning, depending on the part availability. At the precise time the next morning I received a call that the part wasn't yet in and it would be an additional couple of hours wait. He arrived when promised and repaired the dishwasher. It is now cleaning again very well. While in the kitchen he heard the refrigerator making an incorrect sound and advised me to move it further from the wall. The refrigerator has since stopped making that sound and I'm happy that he took the time to point out such a problem, potentially saving us from expensive refrigerator repairs.

We called and someone came out to diagnose the problem. The burner openings were clogged with rust. The technician cleaned them. We had PG&E come back out to check the emissions and they were improved but still too high. The company tried to find a replacement part and one was no longer available. They offered to install a new stove at no charge, which we appreciated but we didn't use them for the installation fearing that it would confuse the issue if the new stove had any problems.

Made phone call on Sunday at about noon. Was told that worker would be out between 1pm and 3pm - he showed up at 2pm. He easily knew how to take dryer apart and test wiring. Suspected issue was the door switch. He replaced and it worked. Only issues were that he forgot to hook the door light back up and I thought $130 was too high for the service since he was only at my home for about 30 minutes. I would use them again due to the professional and responsive nature.

My husband and I had tried to remove and install the element to our G.E. oven which had mysteriously caught fire and broken into pieces. We succeeded in removing the old element, but the wires to reconnect the new element were stuck inside the oven. We had the electricity off for the house, because we didn't want to unplug the oven and move it (which we were afraid would hurt our kitchen floors). Anyway, we called Comtec to make the repair because their advertisement in the yellow pages said they would come 24 hours/day. Since we had the electricity off for the house and now we had live wires sticking out, we wanted someone to come out immediately. The person on the telephone told us that the service call to make an estimate would be $35, a fee which would be waived if we chose to have the technician make the repair. It was about 5:30pm on Saturday, and before 6:15pm, the service person came to our door. Alberto quickly determined that he would need to move the oven and open it up from the back in order to retrieve the wires and connect the new element. He told us the cost would be $90, which we felt was quite reasonable, considering that we had called after hours on the weekend. He completed the work easily and moved the oven back into place, being as careful as possible to avoid harming our floor.
